zero stars. after driving across town to pick up our preordered door dash order we were told they only had half our order. no coconut shrimp in the house. so we cancelled the order as they only had half. i mean people dont watch other people eat their 30 dollar meal while you get zip. so....... the manager bold faced lied straight to our face that she could not cancel that order.. as door dash drivers we knew it was a lie and told her so..she acted very unprofessional and doubled down on her lie. this place has gone down hill so fast..i mean when managers knowingly employee heroin addicts what can u expect..no wonder they are on the chopping block. read more

I didn't check the reviews before, going but wish i had. The cup of chowder came out barely warm. We waited forever for our food and there were only a few people in the restaurant. When the food finally came, the steak was overcooked and tough, the baked potato was not hot. The Walt's shrimp was good, but only five. I wanted to say something but the waitress never came back until we were ready to leave. Isn't management concerned that this Red Lobster only has a 2.5 star rating? Ordered curb side pickup since I had a screaming toddler in the car. First, thank you for offering this service!! Second, the food and service were outstanding. Okay we all have been to Red Lobster around the country.... but I cannot tell you justhow TERRIFIC this Red Lobster is!! The waitstaff was super! The food was perfect! Even their General Manager, Derrick visited our table, greeted us and was super friendly and genuinely cared about our food and service! This was by far, the BEST Red Lobster restaurant experience we have ever had!! It really made us feel good because we drove to Rome, GA from North Carolina to get away from Hurricane Florence. read more

My husband got severe food poisoning and we spent Sunday Mother's Day, at the emergency room. Thankfully I just got nausea and a little sick it was nothing compared to what he went through. We have been big fans of Red Lobster as a whole for many years. Over the past few years, we have gone less and less, because it always seems to get worse. We swore off the one in Chattanooga by the mall (ghetto, dirty, just not good) a few years ago. Last time we went was in dalton and it was good then. We haven't been to this Rome location in a couple years, and today we did. The food was fine (not amazing, but fine) and service was good. However, as we sat and waited for our food, we looked around. This is the filthiest restaurant I have seen in a while. Absolutely gross. The walls, the sneeze guards between tables, the salt and pepper shakers... everything we saw was filthy! Covered in grime and greasy fingerprints, everything! There was also a strange musty smell from the time we walked in. I know it's an older restaurant, but we used to think that Red Lobster was sort of a classy restaurant. Received a gift card to Red Lobster for $25. We visited on Sunday and had an admirals seafood platter and unlimited soup and salad and two glasses of tea. By the time we tipped the waitress it was $45 dollars. The food was sketchy at best. The fried shrimp, scallops, fish, clams and fries all tasted the same. I've had Gortons that tasted better. I tried the lobster bisque and honest to Pete it tasted like burnt buttered cardboard. It was very disappointing. We did have an attentive waitress which is the only reason for a star period. Don't waste your time eating here. The manager will tell you one thing and do another thing. We got there at 5pm said it would be a hour. So at 6pm, the manager said it would be another hour. With them seating people as they come in. We asked they said they didn't have seating for the party, but could seat separately. Another excuse was well had two big parties earlier, one had reserved for 3 weeks. read more

I love red lobster as a franchise, but this one definitely isn't as exciting whenever they bring my food out. What's worse is that they never have accurate wait times. I was just now told that I'd have a 30 minute wait for my table of 5. I check back 30 minutes later and I am told it will be another 30 minutes. The parking lot wasn't even close to full, i asked if there was any way we could just get a small table, but hostess didn't even apologize or show a shred of sympathy. All I got was a no. What can I say.... Server was very nice & sweet but not well trained. I ordered UNsweet tea. BOTH glasses brought were sweetened. I realize we're in the South but... really!! Switched to water so all ok now. Two of us ordered the 4 course meal. One of us got their salads & soup; my soup & salad arrived well after my main course was consumed. The other person who got the 4 course got the wrong entree - twice. The lobster bisque, which I typically love, was gawdawful! Everyone at the table tasted it and agreed. One person at the table only ordered a bowl of soup - the awful bisque... - and all servers had vanished when we wanted to switch. Ended up having to speak to the manager, who kindly did do his best to fix everything - which is why I'm rating this higher than I had planned to. Ended up leaving with very full bellies but things definitely could have gone better. read more

My husband and I wanted to treat our son and daughter in law to lunch. We had not been to the Rome Red Lobster in several years. I was pleased and excited to see how nice it looked when you entered. I was even impressed with how nice the bathroom looked. However, upon being seated at our table, things took a turn. Our table was set up with napkins and flatware. Who would expect to see a piece of blue gum attached to their napkin? We had it replaced by the waitress. We also noticed the table had not been wiped off from the last people who sat there. As requested, they did wipe off the table. However, they did not seem shocked by any of it. Is this the norm there? We then waited for our food for 45 minutes after we ordered. The food was presented well on the plates. It taste okay too. But I don't think we will choose this Red Lobster again. I did politely mention to the young ladies where you enter. Told them I did not want anything in return but they may want to pass on what I said to their manager. read more

The opportunity is the food.. the calamari appetizer was fresh from the freezer with watery ranch and a lack luster marinara that was in much need of flavor. We ordered a combination of children's Mac, shrimp linguini and one of the feast that included shrimp, whitefish, clam strips, scallops, and butterfly shrimp. The feast also had two sides which were green beans and garlic mashed potatoes. I had to ask my wife if I was losing my sense of taste as I couldn't tell the difference between any of the seafood. I realized I wasn't losing my taste when I took a bite of the cold garlic mashed potato's and rubbery green beans that somehow had a bitter after taste. The shrimp linguini was also tasteless and salt and pepper didn't help. Leaving on a positive note we were greeted immediately and they were following Covid guidelines to the "T". I usually love red lobster, but the last couple of times, my salad was not fresh cut. I think a restaurant with these high prices shouldn't have bagged salad. Also, the baked potatoes are not fresh anymore. I think they're kept in a warmer or something. Not hot, just warm and taste old. I don't get alcohol much, but the last couple of times I have, it just tasted like a non alcoholic fruit drink. I love the seafood, but apparently they're cutting cost, but we're paying the high prices. read more
