Let's be honest, I come here just for those deliciously cheesy, salty biscuits. The rest of the food is just ok. I do like the key lime pie, but now that they've taken it off of their meal deal (seriously, who wants to eat a heavy chocolate dessert after a whole bunch of seafood?) I never feel like spending $6 on a slice of it. The parking is easy as it shares a huge parking lot with a church, burger King, Shari's, and a small coffee shop. I never order lobster, as I'm allergic, but the other dishes I've ordered (parmesan chicken, shrimp scampi) have been decent. I can't help feeling like THAT GIRL that goes to a famous steak house and orders a salad or something. I do, however, always get at least 3 rounds of the free biscuits. read more

I'm not too fancy for a chain done right, but this ain't it. Lettuce on the salad was wilted and soggy, broccoli was overcooked and probably out of date, crab smelled bad (I jokingly called it CrapFest). I expected food poisoning but miraculously avoided it so I guess that's a win. Had to resist the urge to rescue the scant sad lobsters from the tank in my urge to leave. Cheddar biscuits were the only cherry on top of this crap sundae. This is not a way to run a franchise. Please do better. read more

Only thing worse than the service was the food. Haven't been to a Red Lobster in many years and now I am sure that was a good choice and we will not be back. Poor server seemed to have to cover the whole restaurant so probably not her fault. Some guy brought our order, including the fifteen dollar appetizer we ordered figuring it would be a nice prelude to our meal. Wrong again...the scallops tasted raw and flavorless and the bacon wrapping was more like raw leather. The fish and chips showed up virtually dripping with the oil they were fried in and the coleslaw was tasteless, but at least crunchy from being fresh. Was happy to see a Red Lobster in this town - I mean, I don't exactly live in a big city or major metro suburb anymore and have a little difficulty with that reality sometimes. And as has been the case with every other Red Lobster I've been to over the years, it was packed when I went for dinner one night. Staff were friendly, and the food came out promptly even though there were a billion people there (okay, maybe that's an exaggeration - but wow - there were definitely a LOT of people there). The problem I had was the fish I ordered totally sucked as far as high quality seafood goes. Yeah, it's a chain restaurant. I know. But seriously - I'd never been disappointed before. And come on - this is Washington State - so the seafood is supposed to be fresh, and prepared properly. I've been to this Red Lobster dozens and dozens of times when I was growing up in Lacey but it's nothing more than a typical chain seafood restaurant. That means you can do much much better, but if you're stingy and don't want to travel for a real decent seafood meal this place is perfect for you! Food: This place is just "okay". The seafood obviously is not fresh as Olympia doesn't really have a fresh fish market or any locations to get daily fresh fish from. About half the time, they overcooked one of the steaks at our table. One time this happened THREE times, and by the time they actually cooked it correctly it was time to leave. The other half of the time the food is cooked just fine. Service: This really is hit or miss. Sometimes you get a really nice young waitress that doesn't seem to know what she is doing, and sometimes you get some idiot who spills an entire cup of coffee on your table or doesn't seem to acknowledge you exist until it's time to collect money from you. tdr: You can do so much better, but if you're stingy and lazy this place is "okay". read more

Visited restaurant yesterday for my husband's birthday and the food was awful. My husband ordered steak and his steak was gray and bland as it was frozen and put on a pan.He's had food poisoning since yesterday (heavy vomiting and diarrhea). After I had the langostino lobster artichoke seafood dip I have also been really sick, the dip had 3 sad pieces of shrimp and no lobster in sight, just runny cheese with some artichoke in it. The only person that enjoyed her meal was my 13 year old daughter. Very disappointed that we spent almost $100 for awful food and food poisoning. My husband called to voice his concerns so no one else would go through this experience and the person on the phone argued with him letting him know the food is great and the steak wasn't gray and there's no way we got sick eating there (only place we went out for lunch, haven't been able to eat since). It's kind of hard to make a review on chain restaurants for me. There's a standard they abide by. My overall experience at this location is always exceptional! I've never had anything bad happen to me or have been displeased by the waiters/waitresses. Sometimes the food can be salty, but it's seafood for the most part. Slather it in butter and it's still very good. I do feel like the portions have become smaller, but I can't complain. I ate all my food so that just means I don't need to take it home. Oh, and the biscuits are so bomb and endless. Gotta love those! My family continues to come back so that's a good thing! read more

Never let it be said that I'm not willing to give them ANOTHER chance. Hope springs eternal. As you remember from last time. . . . Well here we are again. They seated us in a romantic little booth, made for two. Right across from a feed trough made for 10 little hethans who sounded like air raid sirens! (Patience is my middle name.). This time, I ordered the "Admiral's Plate". Sounds impressive, don't it? It's not. It came with two pieces of curled fish (I swear to GOD!) about 3 inches in size, almost 1/2 inch thick, breaded, a pile of itty, bitty, teeny, weenie, little . . . .Pencil erasers that they called Scallops. Breaded. And, almost TWO tablespoons of rice pilaf as a side! (The salad consisted of lettuce, and croutons). Now being as old as I am, I seem to remember Scallops to be about the size of a quarter. Anyway, my date got the "all-you-can-eat" shrimp, and some were actually cooked right! Most were either over cooked, or under cooked. Should be called "all-you-can-stand" shrimp. They serve baking-soda biscuits, some warm, some not. And if you're quiet, and sneak up behind your waitress, and suddenly grab her by the neck, you might get some butter for those biscuits. The coffee, though, was consistently good. Trying to give the impression of a high-class place, I should compare them with, say, Alioto's in San Francisco. But instead, I'll have to say that they are just as good as Long John Silver's. But a better color scheme. read more

I ordered the sole with wild rice and the lady ordered the shrimp festival. The appetizer of calamari and veggies came out first. Great Calamari. The veggies were carrots and broccoli in tempura type breading. Not anything to write home about, but food came out quickly considering how packed this place was on a Saturday night. The salads came next, then the entrees. All done to perfection. Good portion size and we ended up having to take the remainder home. The sole was done to perfection and the shrimp was done with amazing sauces. Out sever was "Norma L.". She was very attentive and refilled our beverages right on time. She knows what she is doing. Planned a Valentine's Day meal from Red Lobster. Since our area just had a snow storm a few days ago, I checked their website a day before for updates. Didn't see anything there that would deter me. It said that they would close at 8:30pm on Valentine's Day. And with Covid still going on I saw that they offered curbside pick-up. Checked the website again on Valentine's Day for any changes due to the weather. Still said that they closed at 8:30pm. Figured with the holiday that they would be a bit busier, so I planned to put in my order no later than two hours prior to advertised closing. I put my family's order in and the website told me 'one item from my order is no longer available'. But when reviewing my cart there was nothing missing or any indication of what wasn't available. I tried to call in to the restaurant for help finding out what menu item wasn't available and was on hold until their system kicked me off (about 10 minutes). I called again with the same result. Ticked off and thinking that they were too busy to answer the phones, I checked the website again to see if it would somehow let me know what item wasn't available. No luck. Checked the hours, again, for like the fourth time. Still states 8:30pm. It's now about 7:20pm and I decide I'm going to order in restaurant for takeout. I'm driving to the restaurant, on the car phone system still trying to reach someone at Red Lobster. On hold the whole ride up. Get to the restaurant and find an empty parking and dark restaurant. There was a small sign on the door that said: "To our valued guest: For the safety of our team and guests we will be closing at 6:30 this evening. Sorry for any inconvenience. Please come back and see us soon." What a waste of time! They obviously knew they were closing but couldn't update their website or phone to reflect this?? We had our mouths watering for some of the menu items and come across this??? I don't have anything against looking out for people's safety, and we don't go to Red Lobster often, but 2 out of our 3 most recent visits to this Red Lobster have been unforgettable in a bad way. And those unfavorable visits could have been positive/gone well with better management or communication. I don't see how Red Lobster doesn't end up going the way of Skipper's ( a defunct local restaurant) continuing this way. Thanks for being there Shari's! read more

Awesome service by Aleyshia, she was very helpful and great with our kids. Totally forgot to take pics of the menu and food. There was so many choices to pick from. I finally decided to go with the wood fired grilled lobster, shrimp, and salmon with sides of mash potatoes and dirty rice. Delicious combination. The food came out on time and it was really good. They also have really good crispy calamari appetizer and biscuits. The Ceazar salad was great with the right amount of portions of cheese and croutons with the dressing. One of the worst meals I have ever had. Waited 55 minutes while they seated two families that came in after us. Ordered a steak and was told they were all frozen after waiting 20 minutes. Opened the napkin to find big booger! Then my wife's dinner came out 10 minutes after mine and was ice cold. Great job guys! read more

But I can't figure out why the service is so slow at every Red Lobster I go to? And it's extremely slow! At. Every. Single. Red. Lobster. No. Matter. The. Location. At this location, MaKenzie was absolutely wonderful- so it's not her fault the cooks were so slow. So I don't feel it's ever the waitress' fault. The 3 star is because of the service. We had to ask for more biscuits twice before we got them. We had to ask for drink refills 3 times. The waitress would come back to check on us as if oblivious that we had asked for refills. We were finished with our meal by the time refills came. read more

Ill start off by saying the staff here is fantastic and very friendly. But this isn't exactly the restaurant's fault( I don't think) but this whole chain is whack some of their dishes are named after places in new England/Maine. But none of the food made here tastes anything close to what it would taste like in new England or Maine. Red lobsters lobster roll doesn't even have mayonnaise mixed in with the lobster. The lobster in the roll must be grilled or something ( which is a huge no no in new England) because the lobster is almost crusty dry. It's not supposed to be a jerky. Lobster is mainly supposed to be boiled. Meat taken out of the shell, mix it with some mayo add some celery and some salt and pepper and throw it in a Big roll. Being a Mainer myself growing up eating the best seafood in the world. I'm extremely disappointed with all of red lobster. Also your bisque has way to much salt at this specific restaurant. I used to frequent this restaurant quite a bit but haven't gone in a while. Apparently it has gone downhill! There were 5 of us celebrating my Mom's 94th birthday for lunch on Wednesday and the place did not appear all that busy. We got seated right away but it took at least 10 minutes to be acknowledged by our server. Then we waited at least 20 minutes or more for our food after we ordered. The food was okay, but not nearly the quality I would have expected from Red Lobster. We were largely ignored during our entire stay there. It was most likely a staffing issue, which indicates poor management. What a shame. We won't be going back there anytime soon. read more

Haven't been here for years!!! But was invited the other day by a friend so I got a chance to check them out again. Well worth the visit. I was very impressed as the place hasn't aged a day. Still looks like new. The wait staff was EXCELLENT!! They didn't pester us but was always around when you needed them. This is how it should be! My dish was good but not great. I ordered the wrong thing as my wife's dish was very nice as she didn't have anything breaded. I think everything on my dish was breaded! I took it off my fish and it was much better. read more

I ordered my food at around 3:00 and I left to go and pick it up. When i got there, there was a whole lot of people there and since coronavirus is going on people were not six feet apart. They had the customers crowded up front and the employees were not wearing any gloves and some of them didn't have any masks. I have waited outside for 3 hours just to get my food. Some workers were outside chatting and they were not inside cooking and preparing the foods because they still had a lot of orders left. At around 7:15, I asked them if they've started cooking the food if not then I was going to leave and eat somewhere else and they said that they are working on it right now. Last night my husband and I went out to dinner for my birthday. By chance we ended up sitting at the same table as our first visit to this location. When our waitress Amber came we were excited because she had taken good care of us during our first visit. She did a wonderful job making sure we had everything we needed and offered great menu suggestions. Our food arrived in a timely manner and tasted great! Everyone in our party was very disappointed with the very poorly prepared food, which included a wide variety of seafood and vegetables - all terrible. 3rd time at this location and they always seem to have issues with something. From dirty dishes to meals that take a while to come out. This last time we came in a little after 6pm. It wasn't too busy but for some reason our food took longer than an hour to come out... After being told "It shouldn't be too much longer". When we got our food my shrimp Alfredo tasted like sticks of butter with a side of shrimp. And the extra alfredo sauce that I ordered wouldn't have even begun to help... If I ever got it.. Delicious food and the restaurant has recently been remodeled. I have been to this location a number of times over the past two years, and have had a mixture of both good and bad experiences. I always go right when they open, and they usually open right at 11am or a minute or two after. Out of all the times I've been, I think there's only been one instance where the door was unlocked just before 11am. This is rarely the case, though. The temperature in this restaurant is usually chilly, so it's good to bring a jacket. As for the service, it varies depending on the server. There are definitely some great servers there, but every once in a while you come across one that leaves something to be desired. I like the Fresh Fish menu that is offered, and I usually order Wood-Grilled Rainbow Trout. The portion is nice, especially when ordering the full portion. The entree comes with salad and your choice of side and all the cheddar baked biscuits you could want. I would like to see the portion of the side items slightly bigger, but it's not the smallest I've ever received. I wish Red Lobster offered a military discount, but maybe one day. The main problem I've had with this location is the length of time it takes to receive the food. Since I usually go when the restaurant opens, it's not busy. I usually know what I want and place the order as soon as the server comes to the table. There have been many occasions where it's taken 30 minutes to receive the entree. This is a bit ridiculous. I can see where it might take longer in the middle of the lunch rush or dinner rush, but not for the first or second table of the day. There seems to be a pattern with this, so this is a bit discouraging. On yesterday's visit, I ordered the new Roasted Vegetable Skewers. Since there was no seafood or chicken in this entree, I expected it to arrive quickly. It took almost 30 minutes, so I don't know what the holdup was. It's things like this that make the visit less than desirable. I keep thinking it will improve, but it hasn't yet. I'm sure I'll continue to go, but I would like to see the entrees come out in a more timely fasion. I would also like to see Red Lobster offer a military discount, so maybe one day. read more

Every time we go the service is wonderful. I was also very surprised with how kid friendly they are, as we brought our 3 year old and 1 year old. It can be very challenging bringing children out to eat so it's always nice when establishments are understanding/friendly. read more

When we arrived there was a 10 minute wait for a table, which was fine, we expected there to be a wait at 3:00pm. When we got seated, the hostess said our waitress would be buy to take our order, that was at 3 o'clock. We sat there until 3:35pm waiting for someone, anyone, to take our order. Finally, I decided to get up and speak to the manager. I told her it had been more than half an hour and no one had come by to take our order. She was super nice and terribly sorry and made sure that someone took our order and our food was brought out by 4 o'clock, so really fast. After that inconvenience the service was great. In the end, the manager gave us 25% off our bill because of the long wait. Will I return to this red lobster, probably since it's the only red lobster around, plus the food was great. read more

We've been going to Red Lobsters all over and I like their food and the service is great. A little bit overpriced yes but we visit every time the Endless Shrimp season is up because we love shrimp and Red Lobster know how to make one of the best scampi on this side of the planet. Have I told youabout their parmesan crusted tilapia, another winner in my book. The decor in this one is so-so, I've seen better RLs elsewhere with funky nautical themes but this one is by far the worst I've seen but still, I dont mind that.
