My wife and I went to Red Lobster in McDonough Georgia for an early dinner. We choose to sit at the bar. The server initially was the manager who was very nice and professional. Then another server took over. She was great also. Placed our order. My wife ordered the Shrimp boil. She loved it. It really tasted great. I ordered the New Orleans Salmon. It was delicious. While the food was fine my experience on this visit left a lot to be desired. We arrived in the evening closer to closing (approximately 1.5 hours before close) and we were greeted by the host who was pleasant. We were advised that it would be a 15-20 minute wait. We said ok and we sat in the waiting area. The restaurant was pretty empty and after the 15 minutes I went back up to inquire about if he knew how much longer. He said just a few minutes and explained that they didn't have a lot of servers; however, I noticed at least 7-10 servers who seems free congregating in the bar area. Some were cleaning and about 4 were sitting at a table enjoying a meal and drinks. We waited another ten minutes once we were seated for a server to come over and take our drink order, but she did show up at my table with the he cheddar bay biscuits. I was pleased until I was in my I bite out of one and it was cold And old. We skipped the appetizer and placed our order since it was getting late. Our food arrived before the silverware which doesn't make for a pleasant experience. And when we asked for it, we were offered plastic silverware. So we sat there and waited after about 5 minutes I got up out of my seat to go find someone or to see if I could locate any silverware and when the host saw me, he offered the silverware. Server didn't check back to see if we needed anything until it was almost time for the check to arrive. She was quick to bring the check, to go containers and a bag. We truly didn't feel like valued customers. We won't be returning to this location. Not because of the food but 100 percent because of the lack of service. We could understand if it was because there was a lack of people available; however, the staff was busy enjoying themselves and eating and relaxing while there was still paying customers l. Take out order on Saturday evening, 8/16/2025. This was a take out order, and I was very disappointed with the order. This was my first time not being pleased with this Red Lobster location. My husband ordered One Dozen of Cheddar Bay Biscuits, Shrimp Linguini Alfredo and Crispy Dragon Shrimp. The biscuits were delicious, but the shrimp Alfredo and dragon shrimp were terrible. We were definitely disappointed. He thought maybe it was him, but the Alfredo was so bland. :-( Then the dragon shrimp were not cooked all the way. Again, terrible. I was seated shortly after my server brought out cheddar biscuits and took my drink order of sweet tea. I was in no hurry and told her to take her time. When she returned I placed my order for appetizer of seafood stuffed mushrooms and my meal of the Seafood Trio, with fries and a side salad extra ranch dressing. My appetizers was hot and delicious. My salad was full with extra dressing just the way I like it. My meal- shrimp pasta, garlic shrimp and fried shrimp was delicious! My server checked on me several times and was very attentive. The ambiance of the restaurant was good, there was an abundance of families eating inside enjoying one another on this lovely Saturday. Would I return? Yes I would. I hadn't been in Red Lobster for years.. My wife & I were out shopping in the nearby plaza & decided to stop in on 6/13/26. We sat at the bar for prompt service, needless to say that didn't happen. The bartender literally helped a lady that came in after us. She came 15 minutes later to take our drink orders which we never received. I would give it 0 if the crab queso and my strawberry lemon drop weren't tasty. I went alone on a virtual date with my long distance boyfriend of one year. I'm fighting to enjoy this date with my boyfriend who is at another red lobster in Ohio. His has great service. I eat the bread over my napkin and order the crab queso and lemon drop with - another waiter? I guess he was my original waiter. crab queso was delicious. lemon drop to die for. I order the lobster lovers duo. excitedly I bite into one lobster and immediately smelled the rotted flesh. I've never been so unsatisfied with service at a restaurant. our waiter was sitting while the cook ran food, we had to ask for refills, biscuits, napkins, which napkins were never received after asking 2 employees one being my waiter. i had to go to the restroom for napkins. i got a sea food boil that was so over cooked it tasted like rubber. to top it off my bill was $316 the service was worth a 5% tip but i was raised to tip atleast 15% so i hand him 4 $100 bills. i stood there for a good 15 minutes before he comes back and asked if i needed something i responded with yes my change response was "i thought that was a tip" i said no it wasn't. then caught an attitude towards me stating "so your not going to tip" i responded with i need my change to tip you. he takes about 10 more minutes to bring my change and i still tipped $40 someone else on the bill tipped $10 that was given before our bill even given. i will never spend my money in an establishment that hires pure entitlement. read more

I'll start by saying absolutely horrendous. I went for the new seafood boil. There was NO seasoning at all on this food. They just added Cajun butter. It was unsatisfactory and I will NOT come back ever. The sitting area was dark, the lobster tank looked dirty, outside hasn't been swept and they were lacking so many items, they should have stayed closed. It's a travesty! I took my grandfather here for his birthday last weekend because that's where he wanted to go. I haven't been to red lobster in years, but this location was great! As soon as we came in, they seated us and the waitress came right on over and took our drink order. She was very sweet and patient. I ended up getting the margarita flight to start and I loved them! I think the watermelon is my favorite though. I started off with of course, the cheddar Bay biscuits and they were nice and hot. When we got to our table after the 15 minute wait the table was dirty and sticky, not going the way it should be at this point. It appears Red Lobster has redeemed themselves. This past Tuesday me and mom decided to dine in for their daily specials. According to social media, on Tuesdays there's 20 dollars for a pound of crab legs with your choice of side. The pound of crab legs comes with roasted potatoes underneath. So for my other side I opted for the steamed broccoli which was delicious. Our server was very nice and attentive. For starters, she told me and my mom about their new signature margaritas. I opted to get their watermelon lime margarita. It was very good and had a decent amount of tequila in it. I only wish that the rim was salt and not sugar. Me and my mom split an appetizer our favorite the seafood mushrooms. Still mouth watering & accompanied by the classic cheddar biscuits. Amazing. I haven't been to RL in 15 years because it's terrible but a few wind really wanted to go and I read the reviews which were pretty bad but I went against my better judgement. Service was great. It's not the waitress' fault the cooks are inferior and the restaurant was dingy, tired and outdated. Don't plan on receiving any cheddar biscuits anytime soon. They arrived halfway through the main dish along with my friend's salad. And there were only 3 !?They tasted like flour only; barely any cheese or seasoning. I ordered shrimp and scallop skewers on rice with a side of coleslaw. The scallops were good but somehow the shrimp were overcooked. The rice was coated with oil and burnt spots and it hard in places. How do ya do that ?! The slaw was good but it was so loaded with mayonnaise that I was worried they were hiding something. The wait for our food was too long considering it wasn't even busy. The prices are ridiculous for what you receive. Welp who doesn't like to start the New Year with attempted food poisoning , discombobulated service, & no compensation. I went to Red Lobster a few days ago and took part in the $15.99 Dockside Duo deal that offers choice of select appetizers and entrees with an upgrade for dessert (optional). I chose the mozz sticks as my app and fish and chips for my entree & Long Beach as my drink of choice. It's safe to say the mozz sticks were the only successful thing that met standards. The $11.29 drink was all juice and if you know long islands/beach there should be no room left to question alcohol content especially when "Top shelf". But the kicker, not only my entree delayed it was stone cold. Yep! Thank God for Gordon Ramsey cause I could look at the fish - see it was heavily battered- and knew the check. I couldn't even get my fork to cut though what should have been flakey cod. I immediately informed my waitress at the bar who took it back and apologized but apologies don't fix much especially when you get the refire which looks to have put the same fries back in grease now soggy with oil and charred & the fish cooked but a few levels up from golden brown I did not want to start the new tae asking to speak to a manager but RED LOBSTER compensate guests when you've made a grave mistake as this -- we shouldn't have to ask I would have happily paid the 8.99 for the app I enjoyed but now I paid $29.80 plus tip for lack luster service and food I didn't eat & could not enjoy. They advertised this new seafood boil and ran out of the Mariner's seafood boil and mozzarella sticks at 5:45 pm. They close at 10:00. It would have been beneficial to put a note on the entrance door or if they advise you before you sat down to order, especially if that is what you came in there for in the first place. Probably no servers. First they brought us plastic utensils. My Wife had Crab legs and lobster tail. I created my own, three picks. No more Walt's shrimp. What I got for shrimp was worse than the breaded Sea Pack we buy at the grocery store. Baked potato was barely warm and mine was not cooked inside.
