The Red Lion is a small cosy, intimate village pub set around surperb countryside village setting. One of the riders said it reminded her of a pub you would get in Cornwall or Devon.
After a twenty five plus mile ride we were on a pie hunt and gleefully found it here.
We just missed the lunch rush and came around 3pm.
You place your orders at the bar. I ordered their Lamb Pie with a side of seasonal veg which cost £12:95.
We all sat outside in their mini Garden, with adequate shade from the Umbrella.
Let me tell you about this Pie! This was a deep filled, rich in lamb and gravy with celery and carrot pieces. The pie crust was medium layered, and soft melt in your mouth delicioness. I enjoyed every morsel and exclaimed that this is the "PIE OF MY LIFE!" This pie will be the blueprint to any pie I taste in the future.
The staff were friendly and I look forward to return for the "PIE OF MY LIFE!" read more
