I was the last customer, stopped in at 5:40-checked out at 6:04 PM (per my receipt.) Closing was 6 PM. The pit guy confronted me in the waiting room asking if I was getting a "last minute oil change." After yelling about being at work since 7:30 that morning. I could hear all the yelling from the customer waiting area. Never would I have thought that someone's hurry to get off work would equate to destroying my engine. Followed up next morning when they opened. Didn't have the bay doors open at 8:10. Was told my check engine code and severe knocking was a bad camshaft sensor by Mike the manager. Knocking continued, so I followed up the next day. Offered a free oil change, talked down to, Mike the manager avoided me completely. 3 Jiffy Lube visits (within 3 days) 9.9 miles later my car was inspected by a certified MB mechanic, stating I had minimal oil, and oil all over the engine, with clear photos that the oil plug was leaking brand new oil. They destroyed my engine by not tightening the oil plug. Denied all responsibility, refused to provide insurance information. Requested a call from regional manager, told I would get a call from Steve. Later, Mike the manager LVM for me, saying he wanted to inspect my car (forth time.) I don't know how many screw ups someone can have. I don't feel safe nor do I feel that Mike, the manager, has the authority to check my car after numerous failed attempts. Oil pressure controls the camshaft, having the wrong pressure is what caused the malfunction/sensor error. * I am filing this complaint regarding serious negligence and unprofessional conduct at Jiffy Lube #2540. After an oil change was performed at this location, my engine was damaged due to the oil plug not being tightened. Corporate regional needs to get in touch with me ASAP.

Mike looked shocked, and then quickly wrote up some numbers and quoted me just under $1k to complete the same work. Talk about top notch customer service. I was SHOCKED! At jiffy lube?? I never would have thought. He was so intentional with his pricing ensuring he could get me any discount he could and took great care of me and my car. Mike was amazing. Having had…read moreproblems with generic Chinese made oil filters failing, she requested an OEM filter for her VW Beetle. The attendant proceeded to tell her that the Valvoline filter was essentially the same and went on to say that they service 20 Beetles a week without issue. I called the store and spoke to a representative and explained that we had a problem previously with a generic Chinese made filter and wanted an OEM filter. He initially stated that they didn't have an OEM filter in stock. When pressed about getting one, he relented and ordered one from O'Reilly's nearby. I was shocked to later find out that the oil change and windshield wiper service cost my daughter over $200. If you have a young daughter that needs routine service for her vehicle, I would avoid sending her to this location at all costs.

I do not recommend this location of Jiffy Lube. I visited it on 12/21/21 for an oil change. I had a…read moremoment of hesitation when I drove up because it didn't look like there were any other vehicles they were working on, which seemed unusual. I should have listened to my gut. I have visited other locations of Jiffy Lube in the past and never had a problem. My experience at this location felt "off." First, I was in and out way too fast. The employee was not able to answer my questions re: the difference between the $49.99 versus $89.89 oil change satisfactorily. He simply said that the more expensive option was because it utilized synthetic oil. All engine oil is synthetic. When he rang me up, he did not review what was done and struggled to answer whether or not my oil level was low upon arriving. I asked another employee if he had ensured my tires were properly inflated. He didn't know what the manufacturer's recommendation for tire air pressure was or where to find that information. I drove home and immediately popped the hood. My oil was significantly overfilled, which can cause engine damage. None of my fluids had been checked and/or filled. My windshield wiper fluid was very low. My coolant was dangerously low. My brake fluid was low. There was oil spilled on my engine. I ended up having to take my vehicle to a real car mechanic to remove some of the oil, clean the oil off the engine, as well as fill the other fluids. I don't know who owns and operates this location but they need to be much more actively involved in overseen the services being provided. 1/6/22 Update: I posted my review the evening of 1/4/22. By early the next morning, I received a response from John Scholl, who is the new owner of this business. He expressed concern about my experience and asked that I email him my contact information so he could call me and get more information. Within a couple of hours of responding, he called me. Although I did not request a refund, he promptly told me that he was going to issue me one. He listened to and acknowledged my concerns. The next morning, he went to this Jiffy Lube location to address my concerns. Although I initially gave this business a 1 star review, I am changing it to a 3 star review based on my 5 star experience regarding the owner's responsiveness and sincere efforts to remedy the issues of concern. Given John Scholl's years of experience, leadership and management style, I have every confidence that he will provide his employees with the training and supervision necessary to ensure future customers receive the high quality level of service Jiffy Lube is known for.
