Fast turnaround on the job. What made me most pleased was that I told them to change a part and they were very honest and said save your money it was not needed. Most places would of took the money and ran. To add the most important part, they support veterans. I am very mechanically inclined but for all my needs I can't handle I will be a returning customer. They give a military discount and are obviously proud of their military relatives. They really impressed me by saying I DIDN'T need an expensive engine repair that they could have easily talked me into. It's something you'd normally get fixed, but this is an older vehicle that doesn't get much use so they told me to save my money since it wasn't a safety issue, it wouldn't cause a cascade of other problems, and I could fix it for the same cost later if the problem got worse. So far, they've saved me $1000.

I have had really good luck using Durobilt. I have a starter that is really difficult to take out…read moreand install. It was the kind of job you just want to do once. All the starters from local parts store were really light and felt cheap. Durobilt's starter felt heavy and the same quality as the factory starter. It's been going strong for eight years with no problems. Recently, I just bought an alternator from Durobilt. None of the other parts stores had one in stock and it would take days for them to get one. Durobilt had an alternator in stock and it was high quality like the stock alternator that lasted 25 yrs, it was brand new and they sold it to me for a good price. Bart was very professional when I called him. He said he had the alternator and I bought it. Pretty simple. I will definitely recommend Durobilt to anyone if you are looking for quality parts at a good price.

At one point, the original factory-installed temperature gauge in my van failed. So, I had an…read moreaftermarket temperature gauge installed, which worked just fine for years. Then, finally, I had the factory-installed gauge repaired and shortly thereafter the aftermarket gauge started acting-up, but I was not quite certain of that. The aftermarket gauge was showing a very high temperature, and I did not want to drive very far with that indication. I needed confirmation and diagnosis of the problem. As Roseanne Roseannadanna used to say, "It is always something. If it's not one thing, it's another." So, what to do? What to do? Where to go? I stopped-off at the United Radiator Shop, an obviously well-used and busy facility. Scott dropped what he was doing, dealt with me with a smile, and determined that the aftermarket gauge was giving a faulty reading. He used an infrared thermometer to make that determination and knew exactly where to take the readings. When I stopped here, I was kinda hoping that I could simply make an appointment, bring-in the van later, but he happily made the diagnosis without charge. One never knows what one is going to encounter when dropping-in at any auto repair facility. This experience could not have been better. Scott has thirty-five years of experience in such matters, and it shows; nice guy, very helpful. Highly recommended.
