However, after reading bad reviews on the other companies, I didn't trust them to do the repairs. I read reviews on Marshalls and they were highly recommended. They sounded like an honest company that could be trusted to diagnose and repair my transmission. I took my car there on a Tuesday morning and had to leave it. When I didn't hear anything by the 2nd day, I tried calling and nobody answered the phone. So I left a message and nobody returned my call either! I had to ask a friend (that lived near the shop) to go check on my car. The receptionist told him that they were running codes on my car right then (Wed. afternoon). So I expected a diagnosis Wednesday but nobody called to tell me anything. I waited all the next day (Thurs) and still no phone call and no diagnosis! By this time, they had my car 3 days. This was my only transportation (they knew that) and I have no family to help me. I was out of groceries and had to walk 2 miles (at 81) to get my bills at the post office. I knew this could not go on any longer, so I left a message that I would pick my car up Friday (4th day). I had to hire a ride there, and when I picked up my car I was not even given a piece of paper - NO DIAGNOSIS, NO NOTHING! Unbelievable! I did without any transportation for days for absolutely nothing! Would never go there again and certainly do NOT recommend!!!

I took my car there to have the transmission looked at because it was having issues. I dropped it off and I can only assume what was done while it was there. It was driving when I dropped it off so I guess they took it for a quick drive and since it seemed to be working they said nothing was wrong with it. I picked it up drove it about 10 miles and wouldn't touch it know it started acting up. So I took it to another shop and they called me later in the day and as expected the transmission is trash. Thanks for nothing Atkins. The 75.00 cash only that you charged to drive it around the block lost you a customer for life and will get you zero dollars from me or anyone I know.

I was desperate because we were planning to drive to North Carolina to visit my son, who is in the Marines. I called and spoke with Scott, who was incredibly kind and told me to bring the car in right away. Christian handled the diagnostics and explained that he would thoroughly inspect the vehicle and keep me updated. Christian went above and beyond from the very beginning. He first drove me to Enterprise to get a rental car, but they were completely booked. Without hesitation, he then drove me to Budget so I could get a rental there. He thoroughly tested my car twice and even had another mechanic drive and inspect it to make sure nothing was missed. He called to let me know everything looked good, but because he wanted to be absolutely certain, he offered to test it again on Saturday--his day off. True to his word, Christian called me first thing Saturday morning after driving and inspecting the car again. He said everything was running great and believed the issue had likely been a clogged catalytic converter that had cleared itself out. Christian was professional, honest, knowledgeable, and incredibly kind throughout the entire experience. What impressed me even more was that they didn't charge me for any of the extensive diagnostic testing or inspections they performed. It's rare to find an auto repair shop with this level of honesty, integrity, and genuine customer care. At a recent oil change with the dealer, their "inspection" said we needed over $1.000.00 in "repairs". We have Car Shield, and the dealer doesn't work with them. This auto repair shop was the one closest to us. These people, all of them, explained the whole thing completely. They did a "diagnostic test for the "problem" per the dealer. We took the car and did what these fine folks said to do. We took the car back today, to get the estimate written up. Upon their complete inspection, they found NO DEFECTS OF ANY KIND. Everyone here is really nice and they are an honest shop. We will not go anywhere else now.
