Love the selection of international candies, sodas and snacks but would love more if they also had more savory items. I skip the Funko pop and cards portion of the store but I do enjoy the board game collection and the photoshoot props! This time the sale section was abundant and had savory items like instant cup noodles and chips! Between the BF and me, we cleared that section out, hahaha! We finally signed up for their rewards but because Medina is so dang far from both of us, their expiration on the points you earn is only 1.5 months or something, which is quite ridiculous! Make the points never expire and encourage people to come in every once in a while to redeem! I did hear about an Independence location opening so I'll probably check that out!

We don't have any kids in our lives we were shopping for, yet still were entranced with how much fun we had! You can find nearly anything in this beautifully curated store. We found ourselves spending a lot of time browsing the adult-friendly puzzles and proclaiming that we wanted to complete 100 different ones. You could easily find a beautiful gift in here for a child or adult alike and I felt inspired for future Christmas gifts. Other standout areas included the kitschy toys meant to make you giggle, and the large selection of fun stuffed animals. I am still actively thinking about the absolutely adorable dog in a space suit and regretting not buying it for myself. The store is very well-organized and the staff are excited to chat with you. Truly a gem of Downtown Chagrin Falls!

We loved the section with adult socks, mugs, soaps, games, plushies and more! They were very punny and would make great gifts for coworkers or friends! I also absolutely loved their collection of plush toys. There were typical stuffed animals, mythical creatures, food, viruses and they ranged in prices and sizes. Most were items I haven't seen in other stores and there was even a really cute and high end Axolotl weighted toy that caught my eye! They also had puzzles, board games, dice, marbles, pop culture/ fandom merchandise (like Grogu, Star Wars, and Studio Ghibli items) and they had some fun candies and drinks too! If you're looking for gifts this is a great spot to check out!

It's pretty misleading to call this a bookstore. This is a small "pop-up" booth inside Northside…read moreMarketplace. I went to Northside Marketplace for the first time ever last week, Thursday afternoon around 3:00, specifically looking forward to spending some time perusing this indie bookstore. Turns out NM is like a mall that's been shrunk down, overpriced, and jammed into an industrial-style building. Elizabeth's Bookstore is a square section, maybe 10' x 10', with 3 walls displaying spaced-out, front-facing books, a digital kiosk for checkout, and a QR Code for their digital store. Here's what Elizabeth's Bookstore does NOT have: - Any human people working there (booksellers? staff? nope!) - Chairs, sofas, or anyplace to comfortably sit and read a book - Bookshelves. Literally! There were displays, but no actual bookshelves. Hope you like one of the 20 preselected books? - Any sound cancellers or any other means of cultivating a non-industrial, bookshop-like atmosphere I don't really want to leave a 1 star review, because it is genuinely independent. And, it's associated with a writing center and hosted events in 647 Coffee (different location), which seem pretty cool! But I felt like I had to write something to give others a heads up. If you're looking for a great indie bookstore in Akron, unfortunately, this isn't it. Really not a place to peruse a selection of books, buy one, and hunker down with a coffee to read. Nor is it really possible to host a writing group or book club here. I hope it someday grows enough to move into a location that allows bookshelves and staff. Until then, I support Elizabeth's by buying their books online, and I won't be returning to this "bookstore."
