The first performer shared much about the culture while describing the craftsmanship of rug making. Very engaging drum circle and then a beautiful melody on a native wooden pipe. Many different dances and dances, followed. Each with an introduction about the story being told. Each great in their own way. The final hoop dancers were certainly a great finale. Didn't expect too much coming to the show but i tend to do so, so i don't let myself down. When purchasing tickets, I worried about seating since its like first come first serve basis and we didn't do the dinner portion, just the show because it wont be worthwhile for my kiddo who can be picky with certain foods. Although i guess due to off season time coming here, the show was only half filled. The hostess was going to seat us with others at a corner seat in front row, but when i spotted a middle seating but second row, i asked if we could be seated there and she gladly allowed us. She also told us we could have soft drinks or tea included and also offered us their pudding dessert. My child was a happy camper. The show was totally worthwhile and my son was engaged and so mesmerized the whole time. Note he was the only kid at the show. The whole place was mainly older couples and groups. The show was awesome with a variety. During intermission 15-30min between dinner to showtime, a native woman gave a lesson to the audience how weaving is done, the history and significance of the art and each piece. Then it went to a song played with what looks like a double flute that was beautifully played, a pow wow, a few traditional dances to very cool hoop dance. I will add it seems to vary on nights on what you will get and they change it up, which is great! So some may find one better than another and you never know what you get but i will say, but ours was great! Lastly i will add they have a bar inside for those who may want wine or beer during the show and they do allow guest to take pics and vids but careful with and do not use flash. They may have one performance that will use strobe lights so NOT for individual who have risk for seizures! At the end, everyone enjoyed it and my son did not want to leave and wanted to go back and watch it again! Definitely a must for kids (who can sit still and enjoy a good show, that is). It is quite intense i must add that the drum beats, the dance and chants still engraved into my son and my mind for the next hr to bedtime haha. read more

Fabulous dinner and show. Took our 3 kids (16,12,12) and they were enthralled. Multiple choices in the buffet line which was served- including vegetarian. There is a children's menu which you purchase ahead of time. Our kids wanted to eat the frybread with chicken. The show and weaving demonstration was so educational. If you ever want to see traditional Native American dances this is the place. It a great experience on learning the different styles of dance they do, what they are used for, and mean to their people. It was also nice to meet the dancers after their performances. I got to compliment their performance and ask questions on how long they been performing. The food was great. Me and my family had Indian tacos and for dessert we had pudding. First time visiting Page Az and decided to do this show and dinner celebrating the history , culture and food of the Native American people. We were a party of 8 (ages 10-60) and everyone had a great time. What an enjoyable evening. The food was good, the atmosphere was friendly and inviting . Everyone who was a part of the show and event were accommodating and friendly. The dancers were extremely gifted in their craft and it was great to learn about the Navajo history as well. This was an incredible experience. I'm so happy we went to Red Heritage to enjoy a traditional meal and to learn about Navajo culture. I loved the audience involvement for children! As a society, we need more education on indigenous culture and what we can do to support . I learned so much from making soap out of Yucca, to the regalia that's worn during ceremonies, to being able to join any Pow Wow in the USA...Did YOU know that? Red Heritage is run by family. My buddy found this place for a dinner show while we were in town for the Antelope Canyons. Dinner was served in the main room and consisted of a one-time option of 1. Fry bread, rice, or salad 2. Protein (chicken, tri-tip, vegetarian chili, green chili pork, and another beef option) 3. Toppings (lettuce, tomato, cheese, onion). Along with sour cream, salsa, and a vanilla/whip cream pudding dessert. Many in our party misunderstood and thought they were able to get seconds, but alas. The show started with a presentation on weaving and materials, the Navajo rugs and symbolism within, the history and culture of their people. No sugarcoating on this telling of Native American history and the trail of tears and the scorched earth campaign. The second half of the show (or perhaps that was the actual show) started with our host masterfully weaving storytelling with introductions and jokes. By the end of the show we were wholeheartedly rooting for each of the performers. We were regaled with pow wows of powerful chanting around a drum circle, a flute solo, a grass dance, jingle/cone dance, feather dance, and hoop dance. A lot of energy and mastery from the performers. Far be it from me to provide uninformed opinions, but if I could suggest bringing the stage into the main floor and having the audience be on the outskirts, and perhaps bringing the show outdoors, that would elevate the show that much more. I wish the Red Heritage much success in their business and spreading and keeping the Navajo culture alive! read more

We were really excited to visit this place as it had amazing reviews. I grew up in an area that had powwow's every year. I loved learning about the Native American culture and wanted my kids to experience it as well. The food was good. You wait in a buffet line and take it back to your table. The staff were kind, however the first half of the show was not what we were looking for. A lady gave a presentation of their history and certain things they made. The story had a constant negative dialogue toward white Americans. The second half of the show had beautiful dances and drum circles, but the host came across very fake and insincere, not towards his beliefs but the way he told it came across inauthentic. We wanted to leave, but stayed until the end. The dancers were absolutely amazing and their handmade attire was lovely, however I wish the entire show was dancing, drums with an authentic storyteller. So different from the powwows I experienced growing up. read more

This was awesome! We were looking for something to do in Page in the evening and found it on a google search. It was moderately priced and included food and drink. I learned so much about the Navajo and their traditions and the meaning behind so many things. My party of 4 and I had so much fun at Red Heritage! We've been to a native heritage show similar to this when we visited Niagara Falls in the east coast so I was excited for another opportunity to experience something similar with my boyfriend with us this time! Unlike the first one we watched, Red Heritage delved deeper into the Navajo culture and shared how they made yarn, how they colored it, the significance of their rugs, what they used for shampoo and soap, and the significance of each dance performed! And at the end they had us join together and danced with everyone in the audience. Yes, it is located in a strip mall and it looks like any other restaurant when you walk in, but the history, culture, music, and dance are all amazing! Everyone is super friendly and helpful, the food is simple and hearty, and it is very easy to customize your meal. (It is kind of set up Chipotle or Subway style.) The performers come out after the show to pose for pictures and answer questions. Absolutely wonderful!! Go see this! The performances are stunning between the beautiful flute music, the dancing, singing, and drumming, but the educational piece is SO well done. It's presented with so much love and respect for everyone and everything, and I walked away awe-inspired and filled with great admiration for the Navajo culture. I loved learning about the Navajo way of life -- the principles they live by, their humble and deeply respectful approach to using the resources of the land, and learning to speak a few Navajo words and phrases. I came home and couldn't wait to share everything I learned about the tree root soap, how they washed the natural wool off a sheep, and how they used it to care for their hair. I have a newfound respect for the way we should be using and not abusing our natural resources. Their warm, inviting, and incredibly hospitable demeanor made this a truly wonderful evening.
