This is a long overdue 5-star review for Alvaro and his team. Our shower had started leaking into the downstairs unit, and it turned out the previous owner had done a shoddy reno job that had to be completely redone. Alvaro and his team did an amazing job - in addition to fixing the main problem of the leak, he also made it much more aesthetically pleasing and functional (tiled all the way up to the ceiling; pulled up the showerhead that was previously too low for anyone taller than 5'6"; added some shelves). The price was reasonable considering the quality of work. Alvaro was a good communicator and also helped to advise on design when asked. His crew was so hardworking and respectful, and I trusted them to work in my house even when I wasn't home. Now over 3 years later we are still very happy with the result. Would definitely recommend!! read more

One of the best indicators of a job well done is when you call the person back and ask them to do more work. I cannot say enough great things about Alvaro and his crew. Our building had another leak that resulted in flooding in our home. We had to redo the big bathroom (white) and also decided we needed to do the other much smaller one. He made solid recommendations and supervised throughout the whole process. I cannot say enough good things. If you want it done right, you want to hire a true professional. Repeat business and referrals are often the life of a business and here, he gets both from us. read more

This review is on a second job Red Fox did for a family sibling house we own. We asked Red Fox to remove a Fae Step Walk in Tub and replace it with a conventional shower. It was a very challenging small bathroom. We were very pleased with how promptly and diligently they worked each day. In addition everything was completed to a high standard and we are very pleased with results. Martinez Family read more

Look no further! Professionalism and reliability are definitely words to describe Red Fox Construction. Not only did Alvaro find the least invasive way (!!!) to solve my electrical issue (especially after other contractors told me I'd have to break into walls to re-wire), he also took special care to make sure the spaces he worked in were cleaned up before he left. What a treat! He arrived at the agreed upon time (we love punctuality) and was flexible with my appointment change (due to my own illness). He was knowledgeable about the possible causes and had an experienced team ready to assist in the event that the job would entail more work (which it didn't, thankfully!). 10/10 would rehire again for other projects around my house. read more

Working with Red Fox Construction was fantastic!! Alvaro and the Red Fox team came onboard as a take over for a bathroom renovation. I hired a contractor to renovate and after three months I had demoed bathroom and no more. Despite paying for all the rough and finish material upfront to move things along quickly, they barely delivered half the rough material and none of the finish material was ordered. Alvaro came the first day to provide the estimate and was thorough, specific, and communicative. He agreed to help me retrieve the material from the previous contractor as well as correcting some of the wrong material purchases that were made. Throughout the process, Alvaro and the Red Fox team went above and beyond my expectations. Schedule was met, budget was kept, and quality was wonderful. Change request were responded to with a can do attitude and any errors or mishaps were taken care of with no complaint. I look forward to working with him for many years to come. read more

Great company to use. Highly professional and great quality work. Alvaro knows his stuff.

After providing us with an estimate for a project, Red Fox has gone silent. After contacting this team multiple times to try to schedule the work, we haven't heard from them. I know a lot of home owners like myself are tired of contractors flaking. If you're going to take the time to visit homes and provide an estimate, the least you can do is close the loop. We've since moved on to a different team that was more responsive, but I think providing this feedback will be helpful for others going through the arduous process of finding a good contractor to work with. read more

I contacted Alvaro a while ago about renovating and replacing our Bathroom shower/Tub and also our flooring in the upstairs bathroom in a condo. He was very informative about my options, was able to give me a very accurate quote via text and also sent an associate to double check the quote before work begun. His quote was the most inclusive of costs/services than any of the competitors I was able to contact. Some wouldn't even work in condos. He did an amazing job of walking me through the process and explaining each step of the job. If things came up, he gave me guidance and also provided links with what items I may need or suggestions about how to approach the issue. Throughout the process, he and his team of associates worked quickly and accurately, wore masks and made sure to be informative throughout the duration of the build. We were thoroughly satisfied and happy with the build and when we needed some help fixing an issue post-build (our shower trim that was installed wasn't outputting hot enough water), he came back out quickly to help us solve it. I would highly recommend Alvaro and Red Fox Construction. I will certainly be contacting them again if we have any other upgrades or builds. read more

Alvaro and team did it AGAIN! We wanted an economical facelift for our guest bathroom and Alvaro worked with us on a range of options that would meet our needs (from full renovation, to tub and tile reglaze, which we eventually went with). His crew was always punctual, polite, and COVID safe. But above all, the work, as always with Alvaro, is AMAZING! We have family coming to visit next week and are so proud to show off our new bathroom. :) We can't wait to have Alvaro back out to renovate our master bath to make it 3/3 on projects he has taken on and rocked (see previous post for the laundry project he completed for us). read more

I've worked with Alvaro on numerous projects the past couple of years. Definitely one of the best contractors I've ever worked with. Extremely reliable, professional, and excellent work. If you're looking to remodel your house, I would highly recommend Red Fox Construction. read more

Very professional and honest! I asked them to remove a shed, crumbling wall, and broken gate. Then, I asked them to build a new block wall, and to prepare the location for my new hot tub by laying a new concrete slab and digging a trench for the electrical. All done with good quality and meeting my planned schedule. Now I got a nice location for my hot tub and deck and I couldn't be happier! read more

Really enjoyed working with Alvaro and his team, would definitely work with again. They helped us with a bathroom remodel and we are looking forward to working with them on more home reno projects we have planned. They transformed our dated bathroom into a relaxing, clean and updated version. We went down to the studs and they did everything from plumbing, electrical, tiling, painting and all the finishing. Alvaro is very responsive, easy going, and professional. Unlike many contractors I've worked with in the past, he gives great suggestions and helps solve problems. We definitely found some unexpected "surprises" as we opened up the walls and floors, but Alvaro helped us get everything done to code and done right. No Mickey Mouse stuff. One note for others, if you notice anything that might have gotten overlooked or something that looks a little off, just let Alvaro know. He's very open to making adjustments and changes to make things right. read more

Alvaro did a great job on our bathroom and flooring remodel. We replaced our master bath tub with a walk in shower. And, replaced old carpeting with laminate flooring. We are first time homeowners and new to the remodeling experience. Alvaro completed the project on time and with great attention to detail. He was knowledgeable in answering all of our questions as we went through the process and worked with us on ways to stay within our budget. We were able to select of the finishes that we wanted. Alvaro and his team respected the property and kept everything super clean. We are so happy with the end result and would definitely go to Alvaro again for any future renovation projects. read more

They seem promising as the person they sent seem knowledgeable. They came to my house on a Wednesday and told me they would have the quote ready on the weekend. The weekend came and they were unresponsive to my texts. I called them on Monday and they picked up and said they will send me the quote that night. They never did. Words of advise: not a reliable contractor read more

Alvaro and his crew renovated two bathrooms for us and I can't say enough about how great it was to work with his team and how happy we are with our new bathrooms! We contacted Alvaro through Yelp (along with a bunch of other contractors) and he came to our home to give us an estimate. We ended up choosing to work with Alvaro because his quote was the most reasonable and he was able to work within our budget. Also, he's just so darn nice, honest, and knowledgeable! Alvaro and his crew showed up promptly everyday with their masks and worked quickly and efficiently - one of our bathrooms took less than a week to complete! Even despite some hiccups (problems no one would've seen without us breaking through the walls), Alvaro and his crew managed to repair and renovate the bathrooms beautifully. I would highly recommend hiring Red Fox for any and all construction and renovation needs! read more

I was so stressed when my air conditioner stopped working just before we were leaving town. We contacted the company, and Alvaro immediately came out to assess the problem. First of all, I want to thank Alvaro and his team for their hard work and helping me get my kitchen renovation done quickly and professionally. Alvaro was quick to respond from quotes, timelines, and questions I had during the whole process. This was my 2nd big project working with Red Fox Construction. It's always a pleasure to work with Alvaro & his team. They were tasked with repiping our entire house. Basically bringing us into the 21st century by taking out our 80 year old pipes and replacing it with all NEW Pex. Although Raul and his team were met with some unforeseen circumstances like my tree growing into the city line and other issues they were confident and had the current technology to get the job done. The beauty of Red Fox Construction is that they have this umbrella of friendly, knowledgeable, & trustworthy individuals who are designated for specific tasks. I've had them come out to install a light fixture for me and also had them come out for an emergency pipe issue. I would 1000% percent recommend this company. Next on the list to do is the Bathroom remodel & I already know I'm going with Red Fox Construction. read more

No headache. No BS. Just good work. That seems like a big ask these days when it comes to contractors, but that's exactly what I've found with Red Fox Construction. A few months ago, I hired them to build a partition wall inside my commercial office building. Like many people, I initially sent out feelers for the job to a number of contractors on Yelp, but I chose RFC because they were quickest to respond while showing exemplary communication from the start, and as the saying goes, "How you do one thing is how you do everything." Alvaro was professional, helpful, and highly efficient, finishing the wall in just a couple days - Significantly less time than other contractors had quoted me. The completed wall was exactly in line with my vision and specifications with quality workmanship to boot. Pricing was competitive too. Having spent the last two years renovating my home, I've learned that finding a good contractor is like striking gold. Needless to say, I feel lucky to have found these guys. You can bet I'll be contacting them again for future projects. read more

Could not be happier with this company and end result of their work! If you're in the market for a house project, this is who you want doing it. Great value, strong communication, phenomenal attention to detail and kept my house clean the whole time - this team always took the extra time to do things the right way! From the very first visit, Alvaro was knowledgable, transparent and honest. He guided us through the design phase, sharing tips and suggestions to get the best quality work at an affordable price and recommending different materials to purchase so we could really tailor the bathroom to our needs. Once all the materials were here, his crew was onsite for the 5 weeks it took to totally remodel our 2 closets into a brand new bathroom. Was really impressed by fact they spent the whole first day prepping the house so that his team could work efficiently without making any messes (this paid off big time during the messier bits like concrete cutting and sanding drywall). Team was always on time, respectful, and managed my expectations from beginning to end. I've had mixed results with contractors over the years and can attest this is best experience I've ever had. Will be using them again and again and again. My advice: Book with them NOW - this is one of those companies whose services are so good at a fair price that they will only get harder to book and cost more over time. read more

It was such a pleasure to work with Alvaro and his team. They are professionals, hard workers, focused and considerate of implementing all safety measures from masks to ensuring distance and ventilation while they worked. Our family made sure to wear masks as well during the remodel for everyone's protection and gave them their space to work. We love their level of professionalism and patience in walking my husband and i through getting the right materials and explaining the intricacies of the remodel. This was our first time doing a remodel and we were nervous about the process and the outcome- we've had bad experiences in the past with contractors. Al and his team gave us peace of mind every step of the way and quelled all of our doubts. We will definitely be working with them on our next project. If you are looking for professionalism, dependability, precautions in place, good pricing, and quality work, Red Fox is the way to go! Don't miss out on them! read more

Red Fox Construction - The final result! New everything. I absolutely love it! - General Contractors Near Me

I've used Alvaro and the Redfox team several times this past year; including his plumber and electrician. We re did bathroom countertops and sinks, lots of reframing, new windows, new sliding door, subfloor, and added laundry. He promptly shows up to give an estimate; and of course prices are very reasonable. He's honest and detail oriented when advising if something is worth spending money on or not. As well as pointing out existing improper problematic work and the best way to correct it. I definitely recommend Red Fox Construction weather for a rental you just need fixed up or for your personal home. read more

Alvaro was great . The initial paint company I scheduled to come out for a quote 3 days prior canceled the quote appointment same day an hour AFTER their schedules appointment . I found Alvaro immediately after and he came out the next morning last minute. He did a great and quick job . While I only had a couple of small walls in our apartment he still treated us as if we were big money paying customers . He answered our questions and was very patient and responsive with us. He's also extreme nice and friendly . I would extremely recommend his services read more

Two jobs done in one day! We needed a new showerhead which required plumbing and possible tile work. Also, the insulation in the crawlspace of our townhouse was old and falling down. Alvaro shows up in a mask and estimates the two jobs within days of my Yelp request for a quote. He assessed the two jobs we needed done and even fixed a bathroom vanity that was leaning, no charge. That night he emailed the quote. It was very reasonable including materials. He ordered a special part we needed and came by to double check it would fit. He then scheduled the work, showed up as promised with 3 person masked crew and completed both jobs within 9 hours. They insulated our crawlspace and modified the shower plumbing in the bathroom finding a way to avoid expensive tile work. They cut an access panel and put a door in and perfectly patched another hole they made for the plumbing matching the paint color exact. They hauled away the old insulation and left the place spotless! Alvaro was very knowledgeable and listened to our questions and gave solid answers. The work was better than excellent. We will be calling Red Fox Construction for all our future house projects. Great to find a trustworthy, experienced, not to mention exceptional Contractor like Alvaro Rodarte at Red Fox Construction! read more

I found Alvaro to show the dedication, knowledge and commitment that ideally would be shown by any general contractor, but is not always, along with his admirable ability to understand the other trades that he needs work with (I say this with years of working with contractors who are supposed to have this, but do not, so I do not take it for granted that all general contractors know how to understand all of the sub-trades-- tiling painting, flooring, roofing, etc. --that are involved in a home remodeling job). He was conscientious about arriving when he said he would, could prepare an estimate in very short order, communicated clearly through texts, and has an energetic and enthusiastic mannerism, that are just a nice additional element for a homeowner. Five stars and three cheers for Alvaro. read more

I have a great affinity for anyone who is able to solve a problem rather than walk away from it. I needed a custom size cabinet to replace an existing over the refrigerator cabinet that was too large to accommodate my new refrigerator. Alvaro, instantly understood the situation, and provided an extremely reasonably priced and very well made cabinet. He met the deadline he had given me and and was kind enough to deliver it to me without an additional fee. I found him to be exceptionally kind, attentive and extremely concerned with craftsmanship and quality. I was really lucky to have found him and I will be using him and his team, as I go forward. There were no extenuating circumstances, no delays, no excuses and he's really easy to work with and accessible. He's very prompt in returning all phone calls. Given this day and age, that's mind blowing. You can't do better than this. Highly recommended !!!! read more

TL/DR: Hire Red Fox Construction! We needed to demo and reframe a ceiling, plus popcorn ceiling removal in three rooms. Alvaro's communication was incredibly prompt, informative, honest, and fair. I would recommend and rehire him in a heartbeat. In fact, we definitely have more work we need to do in the future and already plan on asking him to do it (bathroom stuff, more reframing...). Any time I had a question, a response was sent almost immediately. All work was completed thoughtfully and with great care. The crew left the job site clean - swept, mopped, free of garbage, and everyone was so kind. It's immediately apparent that Alvaro knows what he is doing and knows how to get things moving along. I also loved that Alvaro was already brainstorming solutions to problems seen during the job that were not of immediate concern but very important (we just moved into the house and there is a giant list of things to address, and he noted most of the items just by eyeballing it). A resourceful and pragmatic mind for sure. read more
