He's got that middle aged Bay Area Filipino humor and he's very thorough and clear on what to do and how to drive. The lessons were comprehensive but not overwhelming. I think the best highlight of his lessons were the places we went. He and I drove from SF to San Mateo and back, and there was always a way to cram in practice on subjects like knowing what to do at an area with few stop signs or driving on the freeway. A very honest recommendation for people that want to learn driving.

We had wanted to stay, but they clearly did not value our business when they made little attempt at retaining us or offering other alternatives. Seems like they just wanted to give us the refund to get us out of their hair and Instead they took that as an opportunity to try to get more money out of us. For young kids, inconsistent instruction isn't just inconvenient -- it causes them to lose momentum and regress, because swimming requires routine, repetition, and confidence-building week after week. Not to mention, we plan our day expecting this class to happen and week in and week out we get a cancelation notice on the same day, completely messing up our schedule. It's completely unacceptable to run a swim school with this level of inconsistency and no real accountability or effort to make it right. Families aren't paying for "weekly" lessons that get canceled constantly.

Started off at the SF course, and didn't pass the skills test which was a bummer. But they have an amazing retake option where you get to run the entire course again. So basically, I got 20 hours of training by taking the course twice and paying once. Highly recommend the Vallejo course, as SF and Alameda use the brand-new, twitchy BMW 310R's which were not easy to handle.
