I was just driving up N. Church street when my curiosity got the best of me for my good upon seeing the store front for Red Dirt Vagabond that I hadn't noticed before. I was filled with a sense of wonder for what could be sold inside. Long story short: the store is filled with locally produced treasures created right here in Middle Georgia! I wanted to buy everything from the tantalizing- smelling candles to the historical books on Thomaston and Upson County. I left that store a happy camper with some great purchases in tow and a strong desire to let everyone know about this wonderful place. I love that they sold a variety of neat artisan and handmade products which makes it the perfect place if your looking to buy someone a special gift for any occasion. They had a lot of products for the outdoorsy pet lover, leather-made jewelry and totes, crafty cutting boards, hand-painted Bibles, and local honey and sunflower oil- just to name a few things. Lastly, I have to talk about Mrs. Sandy. She was so friendly. She welcomed us into her store and gave us helpful information about all the products inside. Also, she cooks a delicious pound cake! I bought three slices of the cream cheese pound cake for my family members and me, and we didn't leave a single crumb. I'll be back for some more cake, candles, and gift shopping especially with Christmas not too far away. read more
