Nowhere have we found any pizza that compares to the amazing pizza at Legends and Lore. The restaurant is small and almost always busy. The decor is very interesting and will keep you entertained while you wait for your food. And speaking of food, the Flatwood Monster pizza is especially out of this world (pun intended.) One of the toppings is macaroni and cheese. I don't even like mac and cheese, but I love it on this pizza! If you haven't tried it, be sure not to miss it. Just a warning, it does have jalapenos on it. So, if you can't handle a little heat, then I recommend The Legend pizza, which is a supreme with the freshest toppings you'll ever find. Their sammiches are also delicious and very large. A whole hoagie is actually two large sammiches, so you'll have one to eat and one to share or take home. The wings are great too. Heck, everything is fantastic. The owners are friendly and really care about their staff, customers, and the people in the area, often generously giving food those who have fallen on difficult circumstances. They are, as we say here in Appalachia, good people. We drive 36 miles round trip almost every week from Englewood just to eat at our favorite pizza place. It's that good! We love Legends and Lore!!

It's no myth. Legends & Lore is a good place to eat…read more The inside of the shop is filled with tokens and pictures of your myth of choice, from the Loch Ness Monster to Bigfoot to every folklore monster in between, and their specialty pizzas have cute names and ideas that run with the theme, so choose your myth wisely. The pizza is good, not my favorite but I like their unique flavors, such as with the Rougarou and the Exorcist. People say to order the pickle pizza but I haven't taken that plunge yet. My favorite part might be their wings, very meaty and good choices of flavors. The Moonshine BBQ tastes like regular barbecue sauce but my favorite is their Honey Garlic Sriracha. Some of the wings are so hot you'd have to sign a waiver to try them. Some may call it legend-dairy, but I call it a pretty fun pizza joint!

I really like this place! The front bar area has a nice bar and nice seating (the back dining area…read moreis more generic). The food is very good! I had the chicken salad croissant with the barbecue kettle chips. I know Aubrey's and Jenkins are known for their chicken salad, but in my opinion, this beats them both, and it is served on a toasted croissant. So good! My husband had the Italian Sammy which he said was good, but a little spicy. For "dessert", I went with the Blackberry Whiskey Sour, which was also really good! Everything was really good!

I washed it all down with a couple of double espressos and an ice cold coke . For desert I had a salad topped with red wine vinegar and oil . There was no rush to enjoy the meal as Amanda , bartender, manager and a very perceptive lady timed my order perfectly. Wes Flynn , the owner , buzzed around the place incessantly checking to make sure each customer was satisfied pitching in to bring out food and clear tables ,he even had a little time to sit and talk . There was live music and the decor was comfortable that tried to invoke Chicago in the 20s displaying a prominent picture of Al (fonce) Capone , I suggested instead put up one of Sophia .
