chicken Tikka Masala Pizza
Amethyst M.

I went to Red Chili for the first time just bc there was a shaded parking spot right in front of their establishment I've been a customer at one of the other restaurants in the same plaza & decided to check out Red Chili since I was literally right in front. The items on their menu looked really good & bc I was picking up lunch to meet a friend I gave my friend the two options: Red Chili & the other establishment. We decided on giving Red Chili our business bc I was in the mood to try a new place. The menu had a couple of photos of their food & I asked the person at the register if there was a photo of the Chicken Tikka Masala Pizza bc there was clearly no photo of any pizza on the menu so she got her phone from the back area & pulled up a photo. AS SOON AS SHE SHOWED ME HER PHONE W THE PHOTO OF THE FOOD ITEM I WAS ASKING ABOUT the restaurant phone rang. The owner was reprimanding her for pulling her phone out in front of me, the customer. I would have given this place a 5 star review if that incident did not happen. I apologized to her bc my intention was to just see what the restaurant was promoting, not for her to get talked down to. I tipped her in cash, ofc, for the inconvenience. If the menu online & in person had proper photos & labels to the description of the photos I am sure that there would not have been any issue. Anyways, I apologized to her for asking what the food at the restaurant looked like bc there was lack of evidence. The inside of the restaurant is very spacious & well lit, if I had time to sit down & eat my food I would have. The chicken tikka masala pizza was honestly really tasty. I am super happy that she showed me a photo of the menu item. I also ordered veggie samosas & they were pretty good too.

"It's hard to find good food for under $10, but this place gives you so much for a small price. I really liked the daal and naan."

garlic naan

Been coming here for a few years so far and they never disappoint me with the food they have to offer. The curry and masala are my go to things to get here. The chicken and lamb are cooked perfectly so its easy to bite into. I also get the garlic naan which is made fresh and has a good aromatic smell to it. Inside there are lots of seats and I never really see it get full. You have lots of parking in the plaza, however, it can be crowded sometimes. The wait time for to go orders can take a while. I usually wait an average of 30 minutes for an order of chicken curry, lamb masala, and garlic naan. I recommend ordering ahead on phone then picking up 30 minutes later. If you dine in, it takes around 20 minutes until your food comes out.

Shrimp Biryani

Red Chili is located in a shopping center with free parking spots. This comes in very handy as it takes about 20 minutes for your to-go order to be ready. There was no line to get in, to order or to pick up your food. Ordered a SHRIMP BIRYANI and the flavor on the rice is sooooo good! There are 6 full shrimps in that very generous pile of rice. I'm sure I could have split this with someone, but I was so hungry I finished it all by myself.

Great food, good service, variety of food choices. Ambiance is calm, we went during lunch time.

Jj ..

The service was good we walked in and were greeted by a young women at the counter who gave us menus so we could see what we had to order. I came with my family and ended up ordering the Chicken Tika Roll, Chicken Tika Masala, garlic naan and the fries. The fries were premade/frozen but overall nothing to special like a 5/10. The chicken Tika masala was good with the garlic naan like 7/10 and the roll was the best being a 8/10. The inside of the place looks cool I remember coming here when I was like 9 and they have changed it a lot since it looks better

The best South Asian restaurant in the Valley, especially if you like non-vegetarian food. The lamb biryani is not to be missed! Service and parking availability are excellent.

Plenty of seating to enjoy your meal. There's a fridge on the way to the cashier with plenty of dessert, ice cream, and beverage choices to choose from. The fullness & deliciousness from the food distracted me and had me forget, but will definitely try the Mango Lassi & Rice Pudding on my next trip! The pudding's made with basmati rice so that's what caught my attention. Was greeted by a nice gentleman who provided me with great recommendations. He even checked in on all his customers while we were eating. 10/10 customer service our whole time there. He was kind enough to give us a drink & rice on the house to go along with one of our entrees! We got: Chicken Korma and Lamb Briyani The chicken was in a yellow, creamy sauce - curry. The aromatics & spices put into these dishes were so comforting. Both the chicken & lamb were so savory, tender and each bite was very flavorful. The rice was very fluffy and delicious. Garlic Naan Served fresh and warm. Not oily, but wasn't dry! Every bite was soft. The garlic was subtle, but perfectly present in every bite. Samosas These were HEAVEN SENT. Idk what kind of seasoning or filling they used - I believe there were potatoes, lentils, veggies? I didn't know what to expect for the filling, but it was sooo good. One order came in 3 pieces & they were HUGE. These are a MUST if you go here! They came with 2 sauces which both paired very well w the samosas. If I'm ever craving this kind of food, this is the restaurant I will choose to go to. Best spot in town! Customer service, experience, & food all surpassed my expectations. Definitely will come back & try more things off their menu! + they have discounts if you attend CSUN!

At first I was a little downhearted by the size, but honestly the amount of bones I received is still a hearty amount, I have some of the bones simmering in the crock pot now making some bone broth. I never really looked around the store before today, and actually there's allot of things in the store that I want to purchase, I saw that they sell bags of Samosas, and lots of other delicious looking foods that I plan to try on my next visit.

Asian Spot is a Pakistani grocery, meat market and hot food store (with hardly any in-dining…read moreseating), located at the junction of Tampa and Roscoe. Their hot menu is limited, but covers all the hallmarks of well known Pakistani favorites. Carry out is the way to go. They also have a hot case with samosas (prepared like they really should, with a crisp but thin outer dough wrap). Intoxicating aroma. No thick dough. The accent is on the filling. Here the ground beef, the ground chicken are very mild, but there are no fillers, you can absorb the freshness. Goat samosas are unique, hard to find. Yet my first experience was a surprise. The goat meat is ground, that is okay. But the filling was cold, even had ice particles, exuded cold water. Clearly made from a frozen batch of meat. Another first. These appetizers lack clout in spices, hence miss the mark. Somehow, the potato samosas are the best. The chicken empanada, in my opinion, overtakes the chicken samosa in texture, flavor and overall taste. Chicken Biriyani is good, but needs consistency in flavor, color, fragrance and intensity. The green chutney and raita that accompany these dishes are different and unremarkable. Seekh Kabob (two of them to an order), while well priced, were dry and bland. In spite of this, food here is prepared fresh daily (not the goat samosa), halal and diverse. There is no fish. Service is exceptional.

The owner is from Afghanistan and has a huge attitude problem! His responses are rude and doesn't feel like friendly specially when he is busy and you ask him for something simple. Problem is that there is no server here and the owner himself work as a server, order taker, and at the front counter as well. Of course, customers will be asking him for everything and he just can't handle that and shows his temper. When he is not busy and you talk to him then he will be all friendly and act nice. This is not how he should run a restaurant if he doesn't want to hire more people. We ordered a lot of food. Mostly, all of the BBQ items were good as well as Nihari. His food can be spicy even with a mild request, so watch out for that. Naan was good as well. We ordered chicken biryani and it did not taste good! Felt like it was a day old and did not taste good at all. Ordered paratha and did not like that either. It is much pretty the same as his naan just a fried version of that. This is not how paratha should be. He brought nihari but no condiments with it. When I asked for it only then he brought in with an excuse that it is only available upon request to avoid any wastage! What? Wastage of few garlic and mint leaves? How about wastage of other food? Should he bring that only upon request also? So many food and there was no salad or anything like that. Again, when I asked for it, his response was, "I have onions, did you want that?" I was shocked yet again and just continued eating to not ruin experience for my family. Among so many of us, he only brought 1 tray of mix chutneys. When I asked for another one he rudely told me he doesn't have it and just walked away. This was another shocker as I can clearly see a full set available at another table after the diners left. After a while he came back with a tray with an excuse that one of the chutneys is out. Again, a lie! It is just that he was busy and did not like my request. He brought utensils but no spoons. I had to ask for it and he reluctantly obliged. On the receipt, there was an unlisted service charge automatically added without telling us or our permission. Why not clearly list that upfront instead of sneaking that in? Overall, I will not go here again because of the poor customer service and nothing special to die for. There are other good food and good customer service restaurants in LA and there is no need to come here and suffer. Owner definitely has to change his attitude if he wants to survive and successful.

While I was there, I noticed they also have a food counter. Out of curiosity we decided to try it, and I'm so glad we did. The food was outstanding. We sat at one of the comfortable dining tables, and the staff kindly suggested what to order. The paneer was rich and flavorful, the baingan bharta was hands-down one of the best I've had anywhere outside of India, and the makke di roti with sarson ka saag was perfect. We also tried the aloo tikki chaat and the samosas, both of which were excellent. They really nailed the flavors across the board. Beyond the groceries and hot food, their fresh sugarcane juice, quality meats, and delicious pastries are all fantastic too. We ended up taking home quite a few pastries. Delhi Spiceland has become my new go-to spot. Great groceries, amazing Indian food, and warm, attentive service all under one roof. If more stores maintained this level of cleanliness, organization, and genuine customer care, they would all be thriving. Highly recommended. Five stars all the way!
