Fantastic venue. The grounds were immaculate, the rooms for the groom and groomsman, and the bride and bridesmaids were fantastic, the reception area and dance floor were a little tight, but not enough to complain. Everyone taking a look at the goats, burros, and chickens. And of course, the pinball machines were a huge hit for all who attended. The shuttle from the overflow lot to the grounds was flawless, continually running until everyone had arrived. Andrea was awesome, providing umbrellas for the wedding for the quick storm that passed through during the ceremony; she bartended when one could not be found; and even quickly responded to a spill on the dance floor. I can't say enough good about the venue or how much Andrea did to make my daughter and son-in-laws wedding so memorable. I will recommend Red Cedar Farm to all. read more

What a place beautiful place! My husband and I got married here on 08/05/2017 and couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue, so many people came up to us to say that it was the most fun they'd ever had at a wedding. From the antique arcade room, large lawns, farm animals, beautiful barn, horseshoes and fire pit there is something for everyone. Not to mention the gorgeous, well manicured gardens and greenhouse (great for photos) you really don't have to bring much in the way of decor. I loved that they had a comfortable and private bridal and groom suite to get ready in away from guests. We hired the property owner Andrea to be our day of coordinator and so glad we did! She did a fantastic job, was easy to communicate with throughout the entire process (especially important since we booked the venue sight unseen while still living in NY!) and really made us feel at ease the day off. We found Red Cedar Farm in November 2011 and signed our contract as soon as we took our tour. Not only is the property ridiculously beautiful, but Andrea, the owner and coordinator, is such an awesome person and really great to work with. We were both born and raised in Seattle, but couldn't find anywhere in the greater Seattle area that was personal or charming like this venue in Poulsbo. On the day of the event, we had plenty of time to start our setup. The ceremony and reception areas are both so beautiful that you don't even need to embellish or decorate, but it's easy to give the spaces your own style. It was awesome to have the whole day to prep - we started just before 10am. The girls and boys both have separate prep areas - the girls' cottage was so much fun! I got so many compliments on just how beautiful, unique, comfortable, and fun the venue is, from my drunk college friends and octogenarian relatives alike. We had about 120 in attendance, which was a great size for this venue. I love event planning, so sourcing, securing, and coordinating all of my own vendors was awesome for Red Cedar Farm - no packages or anything. If you're looking for a really personal vintage, country, or farm venue, you'll fall in love! read more

As a wedding DJ this is by far one of my favorite Venues. Andrea (The owner) is super on top of it and I never have to guess about venue details when it comes to her. She has even gone as far as to make sure guests are shuttled into the venue! This place is gorgeous and provides so many beautiful places for pictures, and fun things to do. I have seen it set up so many different ways and decorated in so many different styles! It's versatile. I recommend this venue to anyone I know getting married. What can I say about Red Cedar Farm that hasn't been said? This venue is stunning in its understated elegance and rustic charm. Its natural beauty made it so easy to prepare for this wedding. There is so much character here and I loved all the little accents throughout the whole area. My daughter was married there in Sept. and we easily accommodated 150 people. I have received so many compliments from guests about the beauty of Red Cedar Farm. The layout of the grounds provided so many beautiful photo opportunities. There is so much for your guests to do, from the fire pit, to kids playing in the field, to the pinball machines. The whole venue felt personal and warm and I felt like it was a gift being given to us and the only appropriate response to that is gratefulness. Andrea is amazing. She was with us every step of the way, during the planning process, the day of the wedding and the take down. She is so thoughtful and full of wonderful ideas. It's obvious that she takes great pride in RCF and I can't say enough about the ease of working with her. She's the real deal in generosity and class! I would highly recommend Red Cedar Farm to anyone looking for a wedding venue, an event venue, or family reunion. A friend of mine got married here this summer. I was looking forward to it. The place looks beautiful, and who couldn't enjoy themselves with a room full of arcade games? Unfortunately the pinball machines seemed to be for looks only because none of them were plugged in. We were told our music was too loud the moment it was turned on, my water bottles disappeared every time I set them down, even in the designated drink areas, and at the end of the night the lights started getting turned off before we had all gotten safely into our vehicles and vacated the premises. In fact we still had one car load of stuff to load and two small children to keep an eye on and the light right above us was turned off. I kept looking for the sensor thinking it had just timed out, but it didn't ever come back on. I heard someone say there was another wedding the next day, and that's why the woman I assume was the owner, seemed so up uptight and stressed out, but overbooking your venue is no excuse for treating your customers with disrespect, and micro managing their weddings. I haven't heard the brides opinion on the place yet, and to be honest I hope she didn't notice, and that all she remembers is her friends and family, but somehow I doubt that is the case. I'm glad I experienced it before looking for a venue for my own wedding, because the beauty of it would have sucked me in, and I'd hate to have to deal with that kind of drama as a bride. It was bad enough dealing with it as a bridesmaid. read more

My wife and I have nothing but good things to say about this venue and Andrea. We got married June of 2016, and could not have imagined being better taken care of. So many compliments from our guests and wedding participants! Andrea was on top of everything, almost like having an additional wedding coordinator. I went to go look at Red Cedar Farm a couple of weekends ago and absolutely fell in love with this BEAUTIFUL venue! It has so much natural beauty and charm, and the rustic details in both the barns and outdoor area are to die for. The owner of the property, Andrea, handles all inquiries and tours and is wonderful! She is upfront, honest and friendly - exactly the kind of owner you want to work with when planning an event as important as your wedding or rehearsal dinner. We are using the space for our wedding welcome reception/ rehearsal dinner after looking at many other venues in the area and couldn't be more excited. She is making many changes and improvements this fall so I am sure it is only going to get better. The owner has contacted me two more times by phone since my last update. She admitted to using a fake yelp account to promote her business, told me she contacted yelp to try and have my review removed, begged me to remove my post, and even tried to bribe me to do so. She has never sincerely apologized for the drama she created on my wedding day, and I truly feel that she is harassing me. This wedding venue is gorgeous! I booked with Andrea over a year out and in that time she made an amazing venue even better. Andrea has great pride in her venue and does everything to make sure your day is what you want. The venue doesn't need a ton of decorations because the antiques spread throughout the venue makes it that vintage/rustic feel. The game room was a hit. We didn't have a first look so we had a longer cocktail hour and our guest played their hearts out. I highly recommend this great venue. read more

If I could give Andrea and her place more stars, I would. I'm super late in writing this (we got married in July of 2019), but I could not go any longer without writing a rave review for this venue. Our original venue fell through 5 months before our wedding date after having been booked for a full year before that. Andrea not only helped us secure a date the same weekend as our original date, but also worked with us to make the transition for everything as smooth as possible. Be sure to spend the extra money to hire her for the day of coordinator. She is incredible, takes ownership of your day, and just makes it run so smoothly. The venue itself is beautiful and fun--the animals, the game room, the fire pit--all of it is curated to give you and your guests the best day ever. I can't imagine having our day any place else. It has been almost 6 months since I married the love of my life here. Andrea was nothing but very helpful when it came to our big day. She even helped us with rehearsal and came up with plan A and plan B in case it rains. Plan A was an outdoor wedding and B was taking it inside. Fortunately, we were able to have my dream outdoor wedding. The venue itself is completely gorgeous but I think one of the things that will make me really recommend this place is the fact that Andrea had even acted as security in case of a certain someone was to show up that we have specifically told not to come. Red Cedar Farms is a beautiful venue! The moment you pull into the drive way, you're immersed in it's enticing beauty. A stone wall that surrounds the venue like something out of a fairytale, making you feel like you're miles away from the real world, allowing you to focus on your special day! Lush green, well manicured lawns gives the customer the feeling that the owner takes pride in their establishment. Gorgeous barns only add to the scale, and complete the total package. Made only better by it's fun collection of vintage pinball machines. With everything listed above, know that RCF (Red Cedar Farms) is the PERFECT setting for your wedding photos! ...With that being said. I'm not Married, and you couldn't pay me to be married here... "WHOA" you're thinking. "But, you said the venue is amazing! Why would you advise against RCF"? To which I'd retort: Let me count the ways. Hope you have a second to read them, because it could save you $4000 dollars. So when you spend your hard earned money at RCF, know that it also comes with the owner breathing fire on your fun. (Harsh, but true). Like I said before I'm not married, I was just a groomsmen. So I can tell her "Eye of Sauron" was not fixated on me. (NOTE TO READER: I suggest you read Amber S.'s review in addition to mine. Because it's EXACTLY what happened to us!) First she started by insulting the children of the bride and groom. Children whom I love dearly, so right off the bat she was my mortal enemy. Talking down to the mother of the Groom. Pacing around the venue like an overbearing girlfriend. Constantly reminding you that whatever you're doing, isn't OK. If you were enjoying a beverage, better not set it down and look away, because she'll take it and throw it away. Water, beer, Expensive wine, doesn't matter, that business is going in the trash. Were you enjoying music at an elevated level? Enjoy it while you can, because she will yell at you OVER THE MUSIC, to turn it town! She'd close doors so that you couldn't hear the music outside whilst enjoying those beautiful grounds I was bragging about earlier. Now I know what you're thinking. "If I spend $4000 on a venue I shouldn't have to put up with this" and I agree with you! I do! But, I'm worried this person doesn't possess personable social skills. So who knows, she may see no wrong in her actions. That's not for me to say. I'm just telling you what I saw and heard so you know what you're getting yourself into. Now that leads me to this; my sister. My sister was the wedding photographer, but the woman who ran the place didn't know that. How could she? So in one of her pacing stints she asked my sister how long she'd been taking wedding photos. My sister responded to her question and was then met with trash talk about the bride, the groom, the kids (Whom I might add, did what kids do. Running and chasing one another, playing the pinball machines, and catch in yard.) The fact she's willing to trash talk about the people who paid good money to rent her venue behind their back and think it's not going to get back to those people is disgusting. Wait there's more. The grooms quarters. We were stoked to find out we had our own space to get ready. However, we didn't know we would be sharing it with what we're guessing is the occupant watching the football game on the second floor. You read that right. The second floor was locked, and we could hear their phone calls, and what he and or she was watching. It was awkward to say the least. Also, we're not pointing fingers, but some items we left in our room weren't there when we returned. But like I said before, your wedding photos will look AWESOME! read more

I'm sure my daughter and her wife will post a stellar review as well, but wanted to add my own. This is a fantastic venue with so many separate places for guests to mingle in and outside. The wedding arbor was artfully made and strategically placed in the shade so even on a hot day it was perfect -- the brides and helpers decorated it with sunflowers -- stunning. The pinball room was an excellent distraction for early-arriving guests and a very fun destination throughout the night for the non-dancers, minimal-minglers. The inside catering, cake, and later, dance area was roomy, airy, and just right. Even the rooster and donkeys timed their speeches well during the ceremony! The artistic touches throughout the venue are a series of fun discoveries; look for them and you'll be delighted. Andrea was a great support for the brides (who were both decisive and open to advice), and was around at all times to find that emergency safety pin or get the wedding party to their places at the right time, etc. A beautiful day, a beautiful venue, a beautiful start to a beautiful life. read more

What a beautiful wedding venue! Everything was seamless. Andrea was very helpful and accommodating!

My son had his wedding last weekend at this beautiful venue. The grounds are fabulous and the pictures are breathtaking. Unfortunately, the owner was rude, unprofessional and offensive. To begin she was 40 minutes late opening the gate. My son and his bride spent 40 minutes hauling boxes of heavy plates and supplies before she came out to open the gate. Next, she was still pruning trees and cleaning up the grounds while we were setting up. While the families were setting up she started complaining about the band. She insisted that all the doors be shut all night. Once the wedding began, she (dressed in dirty work attire) stormed around the venue, slamming doors and yelling at guests. To say she was unprofessional would be an understatement. If you are having a celebration of any kind, I would pass on this beautiful venue. My fiancé & I were looking to get married at a barn/farm venue - we had visited a few venues that were all very close in pricing but Red Cedar Farm by far was our favorite. Meeting with Andrea (who is the owner) was an enjoyable experience; she was very helpful with the planning/ideas but didn't step over the line at all. Her input was greatly appreciated and you could tell from the first time that we talked that this is her passion. We secured our date right away as the summer weekends were filling up very fast. Andrea was very accommodating to our needs and our requests to come view the venue a couple times prior to our wedding day. My now husband & I got married 9/20/13 - our wedding couldn't have been more perfect. We opted out of paying for a DJ/Band (and annoying MC) and used the surround sound system that the venue provides. We made our own playlist on an ipod which worked out perfect. We were a little nervous about the offsite parking which is only about 1 mile away from the venue but our guest all said that they didn't have to wait long for the shuttle which was going back and forth from venue to parking site. Our wedding day was everything we have every hoped and dreamed it would be and more. The venue is absolutely beautiful from the lush green landscape to the fine detailed décor inside the barn where the receptions are held. Our guests are still raving today about how much they loved the venue & how special the setting was. Anything we needed the day of Andrea was right there to help out! My husband and I searched all over the Puget sound for a farm venue to get married on. When we toured red cedar farm, the renovation was not yet complete but we could visualize how awesome it was going to be. Andrea the owner worked with us and our ideas to create an absolutely perfect wedding day. The space has such character that you really do not need to add much decor and Andrea is really great with suggesting ways to arrange the space. She was always speedy in her responses to my inquiries and had the space set up early so my set up crew could get in and out before noon. I really appreciated how easy she made everything for my husband and I. I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone looking for a vintage/farm themed wedding/ event. read more
