The TVs are pretty nice jus not many channels.
Tabatha R.

The rooms are nice, but the house keepers are very rude, if they wouldn't have been so hateful our stay would have been a whole lot better. We had our son or disturb sign on the door on a Sunday morning and the house keeper has jus watched me put it on there, and shut the door, and knocked anyway. Rude!! But as far as the rooms that are clean, no bugs, and we had a pretty good stay in general.

Nasty hotel, stinks, old musty smell. Non smoking rooms have the hallway filled with smoke . And stinky cigarette smell.

Decent place for the price. Don't expect the Ritz-Carlton. But I personally enjoy my stays there.

Fairfield Inn & Suites Union - King bed in King Bed Suite.

Fairfield Inn & Suites Union

We enjoyed our stay here :)…read more This is a new hotel so it was nice and clean. We booked our stay for a couple of nights while in the area for business. The area is a little congested like most parts of Central and Northern New Jersey and the entrance can be somewhat difficult to find if you're not paying attention so once you see Wawa be prepared to turn right and if you miss the entrance make the next right after the storage building. The staff in general were kind and helpful with the exception of the guy who worked night shift who seemed angry and ungrateful for his job. Corporate you might wanna look into this guy before he ends up costing you customers and/or a lawsuit. Plus, I saw him in the back sitting down numerous times and not asking if we needed help. Not acceptable! The free breakfast was pretty good and they have a 24/7 coffee station. They had a wide variety of foods for your dietary wants and/or needs. Cereals, bagels, bacon, Belgium waffles, scrambled eggs, breakfast sandwiches, fruits, juices, milks, yogurt, etc. Each morning the hot foods changed slightly. - scrambled eggs 3/5 - sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit 3/5 - sausage, egg, and cheese croissant 4/5 There is plenty of parking and the area is well lit and safe in general. There is a Wawa literally 100 feet away which makes it nice for late night cravings or to grab miscellaneous items plus there is also a Popeyes 200 ft away. The lobby has cold drinks, snacks, and frozen foods for purchase plus an assortment of things you might need like Tums, hand sanitizer, etc. The room we stayed in was a king and it had a sofa and two televisions. I think they are 55". The bathroom was spacious, but the shower door leaked a lot of water on the floor due to not installing the door seals correctly. So place a towel in front of yours to absorb the water. The bed was comfy but the pillows were horrible. There was a coffee machine, microwave, and a small refrigerator in the room. There was also a table and office chair to do work. They have a nice gym too, but we didn't have time to utilize it. This was a nice stay and I have no complaints except the guy who was working night shift. Btw, downtown Union is less than a mile away so you can walk there to enjoy the wide variety of cute shops, cafes, and restaurants there. Go explore it! Safe travels :)

Heart-shaped hot tub surrounded by wall sized mirrors represent a John & prostitution rendezvous stay. Friendly front desk receptionist, but crazy shuttle driver. Didn't wear his seat belt the entire ride to the airport at 4am (10 mins), ran a red light with passengers. Umm, I thinks not staying here... ever. I would rather pay a lot more for better service in all areas.

Should I just stay at the airport and try to snooze or get the cheapest hotel nearby with free airport shuttle service? I opted for the latter when I saw the deal here for £37. After a 7 hour flight from London and my body being reminded by my jetlagged brain that it was actually 5am and not midnight, I was very happy to see Charlie and the hotel shuttle turn up at P4. The roads around Newark Airport are a warren and I was very glad not to be driving Irvington is about 15 minutes from the airport and at that time of night, a mere 15 minute trip. The hotel isn't really that close to any shops but I was only after a soft pillow for 5 hours So, how does one judge a hotel? This hotel really comes in 2 parts. The part outside the bedroom is a little shady to be honest. I have a suspicion that it's used by umm ladies of the night as there were a lot of men wanting short stay rooms, accompanied by ladies who seemed quite unfamiliar to them. The corridors had a musty smell and there was no lift However, to be fair, the room was nice. It was large, clean with no smell. The beds were big. The TV was big. The bathroom was big. The wifi was free. The parking was free So, if you can avert your eyes at checkin and run to your room, for the price, it's a 4 star experience. I would return if I was in the same scenario but if I was staying for a few days, I'd probably go elsewhere

Hampton Inn Newark Airport - Guest room

Stayed at this Hampton Inn expecting the usual Hilton standard, but this was one of the worst…read moreexperiences I've had in over 600 stays. I was denied extra pillows despite explaining it was due to a medical need (something I've never been denied at any Hilton property before). The room's AC unit was extremely loud, constantly turning on and off throughout the night, making it nearly impossible to sleep. When I called the front desk, I was told they were at capacity and there was no one available to address it. The most concerning issue was the airport shuttle. It was overbooked by the hotel, and I was actually asked to let another guest sit in my lap during transport. That's not just uncomfortable--it's unsafe and completely unacceptable. When I contacted the hotel manager afterward to request a refund under Hampton's satisfaction guarantee, I was dismissed, told to "get over it," and the call was ended. I've stayed at Hampton Inns for years and have always had good experiences, which made this especially disappointing. Issues can happen anywhere, but the lack of resolution and professionalism here was the bigger problem.

Pros: The hotel itself is pretty good. My first time using digital key and I loved it. The hotel…read moreroom was clean and had a good floor plan. I loved that I could slide a barn door to close in the bedroom if needed. My room was close to elevator and the clean supply room so I was a little worried about outside noise. Although I only stayed over on a Monday night even without ever closing the bedroom door it was very quiet. I had a small issue with somehow dropping my phone down into the ice machine (horror) but maintenance was very responsive and quickly got it back for me. Housekeeping was very friendly. Front desk was ok, although I feel like they could have anticipated or understood my question better when I asked about hotel shuttle. They have a sign stating where the shuttle picks up. I asked about it but they just said that it was coreect, so then I made an an attempt to find the location on the sign. When I got back to the elevator and realized it didnt go down or anywhere that might be a level cars would park or etc. I went back and asked where to find the location. They said it was where the shuttle picked up at the airport. Then is said where does it pick up here. They asked when did I need it. I said now. They said ok they would add me to a list. So #1. Why would someone checking out of the hotel need to know where the airport shuttle picks up passengers at the airport. And even if that is useful information, shouldn't it also inform where or what is needed in order to get picked up at hotel. Specifically this would seem important if the check in line was long. #2 He never answered my question about where the shuttle picks up at hotel. Once i realized the shuttle sign was useless, I assumed it picked up outside the doors and it did but this entire exchange made me feel like I was an inconvenience rather than a customer. Cons: breakfast had no flavor. I'm not expecting a lot from a free breakfast but usually the flavorless eggs have cheese or something you can add to the top to give it a little something. The vanilla pancake topped with whip cream and strawberries was ok but again very little flavor. Plus not something I could eat had I been on a hurry or had an early flight out. Other Hampton breakfasts do a little better job. Maybe Monday's are just not busy enough to warrant more.

I was able to get some sleep while waiting for my mother to come in. Also, I was able to take advantage of the amazing breakfast! I grabbed some fresh scrambled eggs, chicken sausage, and potatoes. So delicious! They also had a plethora of breads and bagels as well as cereal and they had a cute build your own parfait bar with Chobani yogurt! Now to the rooms! My mom and I shared a two bedroom queen room. It was much larger in the photos than I thought it would be with tons of chill and wall around space. It also comes with a mini kitchen sporting a microwave, large fridge, and dishwasher. I also loved that it had silverware, plates, and cups--abd of course a wine opener! I did not get to enjoy the gym as we had two very quick, but busy days. It is well equipped though including a peloton. This hotel has everything you need and more! Love that it is just a few train ride stops to the World Trade Center and Manhattan. I will be back!

DO NOT STAY HERE, they have roaches. Please go through trip advisor reviews thoroughly. I stayed at…read morethis hotel once before and didn't see roaches being an issue however yesterday after dropping my bags off and then returning in the night to settle in, I opened the bathroom door to roaches! I immediately went to the front desk and let them know and they insisted I move to another room. Why on earth would I do that? If that's not enough the Operations Manager, Carlos, responded to an email I sent saying they "need" to investigate the issue in order to respond on IF they will provide me my money back after not staying at the hotel. Excuse me? I read his email then called to make sure I had it correct and he confirmed they need to investigate because they "don't have roaches." LOL I'm certain he's either seen them first hand or heard other guest share this information. Regardless, I'm sure the staff opened the door and saw the roaches well before the call took place and why on earth would a customer need to wait for an investigation when they left because of that health hazard in the first place. He even asked "what time did the roaches enter the room?" which really had me floored. -- It's clear based on a review from 2021 that they are good for taking advantage of people with the unhealthy conditions of the hotel. A previous review indicates that a person pointed out the roaches and management asked the same question "where's the pictures?" And that they would launch their own investigation, just to say they didn't find anything. Take your money elsewhere. As of 12/3 I called corporate who spoke to the GM who now indicates "we won't refund her because she went and wrong on social media" again staying true to their scheme

I was mislead by the reviews as well as the price for parking onsite each day. From checkin to checkout, customer service was blunt, nonchalant, and unwelcoming. Our reward status was not recognized, addresses, or mentioned. Also, when I complained about the cold temperature in both rooms that I booked, my complaints were downplayed, and condescended. My complaints were not addressed and my bill was not comped in any way, despite reporting that the room was cold each day. We were out of the room majority of each day, so we made the best of our trip during the short stay. Again, I do not recommend this hotel. The first room we were assigned smelled like acetone / strong cleaning chemicals. Kinda like they were trying to clean up the smell of cigarettes or maybe a biohazard. The second room thankfully didn't have that smell. But the heater didn't work and didn't get over 70 degrees, which definitely sucked in the middle of December. On top of all this, the hotel falsely charged us 7.40$ for a breakfast that we never ate. I noticed it as I was reviewing my credit card statement. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK YOUR CREDIT CARD when you stay here, but honestly just don't stay here.
