The tumbled marble is spotless, and the grout looks so much better. He was professional, kind, friendly, and so thorough in his work. He truly cared about how the job ended up. He was also reasonable, which was an added bonus. I cannot recommend him highly enough: he is just the type of person you want working in your home.     This review is negative not because of the actual service rendered by the technicians (who have…read morealways been great out of the Rhode Island franchise) but because of the corporate side of the transaction. I had an appointment window of between 11 and 2. At 1:06, I received a text that my tech was on his way. Great! At 1:45, when no one had showed up, I called customer service. It used to be local; now it is apparently all centered in Ohio. Unfortunate. Customer service said that dispatch anticipated another 15 minutes because he was "coming a long way." I was thinking to myself " I live in the smallest state in America. One can travel across the entire state in less than an hour.is he driving from Wisconsin?" What I didn't realize was that he was in fact in another state, Connecticut. The dispatch apparently had no spatial perspective because at 2:40, an hour and a half later, after my window had expired, no one had yet arrived. To make matters worse, the tracker they sent me was hopeless. When it finally worked and signaled me that the tech was 9 minutes away, it then rerouted me to another tech, who was now 20 minutes away! The original crew eventually showed up at just before 3. But 10 minutes later, ANOTHER crew arrived also. Turns out the folks in Ohio confused my order with an old one and thought I had two open appointments making it all even worse. After speaking with a manager, he gave me an additional 10% discount off my bill for the inconvenience I have been caused. When the tech actually presented me the bill, there was no such discount. They couldn't even get that right. I have been a customer of Stanley Steemer for a long time. I have never seen such a mess. I need to find someone else when franchisees get taken over corporately, it always goes to hell.
