Glow had a lot of good reviews so we gave them a shot. They came to do a "deep cleaning" as the initial clean. To start, they were late, running behind from another job. Thats understandable, but it doesn't hurt to communicate that to your clients. About 5.5 hours 2 women were here cleaning the house while we were in and out. Language barrier with the on site cleaners made it difficult to communicate and clarify our requests. After all was said and done, some things were fantastic and others were completely neglected which was strange. Kitchen counter tops were shining and clean. Furniture that was moved to clean the windows was left out of place. Shower looked great. The master bed was a mess because they stood on it to clean the fan. Downstairs is a living room and it wasn't touched. The attached picture is from us running a vacuum in just the kitchen after they left a 5.5 hour cleaning! The company was contacted, and I applaud them for trying to make it right. They said they would send someone back, but at this point it was 6PM and there were people coming over. Told them multiple times that it wouldn't work tonight, but they sent someone anyway. That didn't feel like great customer service. All in all, I can't see how I would use them again after an accumulation of short comings on the first experience.

I had only seen the home one time. If they had discovered it was dirty and they were not able to clean it properly they should have called me. I spoke to Jim on the phone to book the service, and he was really friendly and helpful. He said his wife Rose would be in touch with a quote after I texted some pictures of the room. I don't know who I was texting with in the end. They quoted me $100. The two workers arrived right on time, were very polite, and did a beautiful job! However, they spoke no English and used a phone app to communicate. (You speak into the phone, they read the Portuguese that's generated, then they speak into the phone and it spits out English. Who knows how accurate it is.) I lived in a foreign country for 6 years and while I wasn't fluent, I had basic proficiency in the language... admittedly I worked in an industry where people spoke English, but for day-to-day things I was glad I could read and handle basic conversations. (This was pre-smart phone.) I'd love to hire Rose's Cleaning for their organizing service, but can't imagine how you'd do that with someone you couldn't talk to. They get good reviews for that, so maybe I'll try it. I'm skeptical but interested. If all you need is cleaning it probably doesn't matter that you can't communicate without a phone translator. Their work was beautiful and they were punctual and polite. All of that is great. I'm glad they could fit us in!

Please beware before doing business with this shady company. Let me added in response to the owners response. The home has already been cleaned by the previous owners so again not much to do. We are hiring a cleaning company just to sanitize the place, 15 hours is a crazy amount of time for one home. It's not the White House we are asking about. I'm glad she recognizes that I will be looking for an honest company as she is not an honest business owner.
