First let's discuss the studio. It's clean, welcoming and relaxing. The space is decorated with lots of art and the chairs are comfortable. This is key when you plan on staying put for hours at a time. The artist there are extremely talented and friendly. They will be able to encompass your vision to the T. The artist that did my piece was Ryback; a real chill down to earth guy who does amazing work! I don't foresee myself ever going to another artist ever again! Started my piece in Newport and probably finishing over here at the Lake Forest location. The new location is nice and has many parking spots in the lot. Came to the new spot for my 3rd session. Clean and cozy spot. Got there for my appointment and Ryback went straight to work. As an artist Ryback is real chill and easy to talk to. 6 hour sessions feel like half the time. I recently accompanied my friend who received his first tattoo from David. While the tattoo shop was clean, and David's work was overall good, I have to comment on his attitude. First of all, when my friend (David's client) attempted to introduce me, David cut him off to say he "normally skips pleasantries" and "won't remember your name anyway." He was immediately very rude to both of us, going so far as to ignore his client multiple times. Furthermore, David repeatedly changed the placement of the tattoo stencil before my friend could even comment his opinion, and got angry when my friend reminded David that he no longer wanted a border around the image he was getting tattooed. Mind you, my friend had already had a consultation with David previously, where he requested the border be removed. When my friend reminded him of this, David said he "can't be expected to remember something like that," and scoffed that it wasn't his fault he almost tattooed the wrong image. He didn't even apologize for his mistake. As someone with over a dozen tattoos, I was absolutely shocked by David's bad attitude and lack of professionalism! I highly recommend that if you come to this studio, employ a different artist. read more

Got my first tattoo here and I don't regret it at all, David was extremely helpful and even helped with placing to make sure it looked good! He does quality work and gets it done fast. Finished my sleeve at this location! Traveled from AZ just so I can have noodles as an artist again! He is very fast and his lines are clean and coloring is on point! I don't know where to begin. This was my first tattoo and it's an extremely significant and sentimental tattoo to me, so I wanted it to be perfect. I found David through Instagram and shot him a message about a quote, and he was very response, which was right away a good sign. Instead of exchanging a bunch of messages back and forth through DM's, he called me and talked about the initial design and what I had in mind for my tattoo. I drove up from San Diego and I'm so glad I made the drive because it was 110% worth it. If you're looking to get your first tattoo or your hundredth, I highly recommend this place.
