I was in Guelph picking up my son from university and I wanted a good coffee for the drive home. While in the Old Quebec Street shoppes a cashier at Rexall recommended the Red Brick Cafe. What a fantastic recommendation! We easily found it and popped into the inviting little cafe. Cozy and warm, tables were filled with students, and locals There was a line to order your coffee but it moved quickly. All the standards were available, from basic coffee to more ornate coffee/espresso blends. There was a glass case filled with treats and the young women working behind the counter were efficient and friendly. We ordered two regular flat whites, the foam was creamy and perfectly textured. My son was impressed, we both agreed it would make a great study spot. We got our drinks to go but I was a bit disappointed we had ti leave, there was such an inviting atmosphere. Next time.

Breakfast burrito. Yummy!

Wow!! This place is amazing. The breakfast burrito is like an orgy of flavors frolicking in my mouth - don't know what exactly that sentence means but sweet baby Jesus, it's tasty.

Nice cafe/bar with an oldie vibe taking you back 150 years. Great service. Had an espresso and muffin. There are plenty of food options going to drink options later in the day. Place is quite large fitting over 50 people. Wi-Fi tested at 16/5 and there are a few electrical power outlets. I definitely want to come back later in the day.

FAVOURITE CAFE IN GUELPH! I've been going to Red Brick for almost a year now and I can honestly say that it is the cutest little spot in Guelph. Their food is great (high recommend their breakfast burritos) and their drinks are even better, (they make a killer chai latte AND pro tip = try their apple spice tea). All in all, their employees are always welcoming, friendly and eager to help. With their new renovations, it's an awesome spot to get ahead in some course work or catch up with an old friend!

Great place to sit and surf, gab about whatever with friends etc... This ain't Tim Horton's! So price wise its about the same as Williams Coffee Pub. FREE WiFi lots of 'Chill', super nice staff ;) - Downtown Guelph. Try the date squares, getting the last one is the best!!! -Wayne

I love their food, their service and the ambiance at both of their locations. I only wish the Westmount location had longer hours.

When I went on a Saturday it was packed! But still the service was pretty fast. I got the caramel latte which was amazinggg. I think it may be my new favourite iced latte in the area. The coffee flavour is rich and robust which I prefer. I think the Sausage egg and cheese on the other hand was okay. I think I was a bit thrown off because the sausage was a bit soggy. I think I'll still give the food here another try though just because I like the coffee so much. My partner also really liked his frappe so I think we'll be coming by again.

The girls on the counter were very helpful and answered all our questions. The beverages were made correctly and quickly and served us with a smile. The Vegan Cappuccino made with oat milk was made to perfection. The coffee a bit weaker for our taste. The Vegan Smurf Chai Latte with Oat Milk and made with Pea Flower again well made with perfect sweetness and flavour.

The staff is super friendly and I appreciate the loyalty cards for coffee and bread. The bakery itself is small but so quaint being in an old historical house. If you haven't tried With the Grain, you're missing out on a Guelph experience.

Around 10 there wasn't much of a rush and was the perfect time to enjoy some much needed tete-a-tete with my friend. She ordered the Raspberry muffin and avocado toast with feta and I ordered the nut steel cut oats and berries toast. I absolutely loved both of my meals. The steel cut oats were generously served, slightly sweet but not too much. The berries toast, very unique combination of mascarpone, honey, strawberries, and black pepper with a dash of mint. The dark chocolate mocha was delish, and was surprised to discover they offer milk chocolate mochas as well. Additionally, I loved that the cutlery was served wrapped in cloth napkins, which gives it a classic edge. The environment has indeed changed quite a bit. You can see a new roasters has been built and a baby gate has been placed in front of the down going stairs (wonderful safety note for those with wild toddlers like me). It seems milk gets hand delivered by an older amish couple (we so happened to witness this ourselves)...I don't think you can get any more locally sourced than that! I'm glad I revisited this place as I believe this has a lot of great things going for it. Although the sole staff did very well, the food did take a bit of time to come. As we were in no hurry this did not effect my time there but that is something potentially to note for future goers.
