Visited Red Bay Coffee Bar for the first time on a late weekday morning and had a great experience. The location on Alcatraz Avenue was easy to find, and the space itself is a cute, Black-owned coffee bar with both indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered a hot vanilla bean latte with oat milk, and it was actually delicious. The staff member working was very friendly and took the time to share which drinks are popular, as well as explain that they rotate seasonal offerings, which I appreciated. They also have a solid selection of whole bean coffee available for purchase, which is a nice bonus if you want to take something home. I'll definitely be back to try more drinks.

The service was amazing, and the staff were very friendly. The coffee was good and I loved their mushroom shaped ice cubes. The interior of the cafe was very nice and outdoor seating is a plus if you want to study there.

This was my 1st time visiting this location of Red Bay Coffee. It's a small yet quaint coffee house that feels welcoming. My mother and I both had an Iced Vanilla Bean Latte. It was very delicious and refreshing. I recommend this location if you're in the area.

Headed back in to the east bay, making a stop in Berkeley, my husband was looking for hot cocoa and a baked good to satisfy breakfast. In the area of Ashby we landed on Red Bay Coffee. For the last year, I have ordered their whole bean selections, specifically the East Fourteenth. This was my first time visiting a store location. My husband went inside to order. He came back with a blueberry muffin for our little one, a Saigon latte for me and a hot cocoa and pastry for himself. He said the service was fast and friendly. My Saigon latte is a blend of spices nestled in oat milk (as requested). The temperature is perfect and the silkiness of the drink coats the tongue releasing a sympathy of flavors balanced perfectly. My husband said the hot chocolate was favorable but it is not his top. He said he would definitely order it again. Our daughter took a few bites of her muffin with a mmmm mmmm accompanying it. Let's say she gives their blueberry muffin two thumbs up. I would definitely venture back to this location when I'm in Berkeley. Supporting local businesses is a must and Black owned businesses is at the top of my list for that.

Today I wanted a charcoal latte which is my favorite drink. It's smooth and delicious with the charcoal notes throughout. The service was quick and friendly and they made it extra hot like I requested. If I lived closer I would have this drink at least three times a week.

Such a cute spot!! Chill and inviting atmosphere, and the Vietnamese cold brew is delicious! Would totally come back and take my coffee for a walk around the artsy block

I have always wanted to come to this brand but it is so far out of the way. But I was coming home from a training and figured that I'd stop on by and I'm glad that I did. The guy there wasn't a regular in this spot, he works at the Fruitvale location, but my charcoal mocha was good. I wanted the sweet potato but they don't have it. Next time I come, I hope they have it here. This is closer to my home. The person who worked there was very nice and greeted me. This is a cute, very clean coffee space and I'm very glad that I went. I don't know when I'll be back, but when I return, I really hope that they have the sweet potato coffee.

Headed to Emeryville early to hit the Granite Expo and needed a coffee post shopping. We were lucky to find Red Bay in neighboring Berkeley, thanks to my fellow yelpers! And it did not disappoint! This is a tiny shop in a quiet neighborhood. We were warmly greeted when we walked in and our barista quickly took our order. We indulged in an almond and a spinach feta croissant. Bothe were yum, and I appreciated that the spinach wasn't chopped to bits but made with whole spinach leaves. We had almond milk lattes and the drinks were delicious! The coffee had a lovely toasted taste, not at all bitter, with a tinge of floral notes. There was a steady stream of customers coming in while we sat on the front patio--clearly the locals know about this place! We'd definitely stop again when in the area. Plus, this is a Black-owned and Certified B Corporation! (Look that up if you aren't familiar!)

Red Bay has done an excellent job of getting me addicted to their vanilla charcoal latte! Jokes aside, this place is awesome. It's a nice spot to pick up a latte and go, or to grab a coffee and sit down with your laptop for a little while. I am especially fond of their seasonal drinks!

My local coffee shop. Cute little shop I like to walk to, staff is friendly enough and informative. The coffee is really good though and I can tell they put care into their food.

Lattes were very good and tasty. My friend got the hot charcoal latte and it tasted amazing! I got the hot matcha latte w/ oat milk & honey. The service was good and the cafe has cute decorations/seating inside and outside. Definitely coming back!

Came at around 4pm on a Sunday and the cafe was still so packed. Parking was a bit difficult. We had to drive around for over 10 minutes and finally found a parking garage. The chai itself was worth it though. My friend and I both got the karak chai, mine was cold and hers was hot. Both really good although the flavor came out better hot. The Elaichi bun was full of cardamom flavor and just a bit toasted was perfect complementary to the chai. Really wish we lived closure otherwise this would be a go to spot. They have multiple South Asian inspired tea and coffee beverages including Banana Einspanner, Matcha Roofsafzah etc. Their main beverages are various kinds of chai. Our ratings: 1. Karak Chai: 3/5 - pretty average chai, the price was pretty steep for the portion that was provided but i appreciated how strong the drink was 2. Cortado: 3/5 - again my friends were shocked with the portion (teeny, tiny cup) and it was $5. Friends needed to hop over to another coffee shop for another drink 3. Jaggery Chocolate Chip Cookie: 4/5 - this was solid, tastes like a typical indian cookie. Different taste for folks used to traditional choco chip cookies

It was an unexpectedly warm day, so I stopped in for an iced caffeinated beverage. I was indecisive when it was my turn to order, so the barista recommended the orange blossom matcha sparkler. This sounded intriguing and refreshing, so I decided to give it a try. My beverage was prepared about two minutes after I ordered it, and I was immediately refreshed after the first sip. The orange blossom flavoring was very subtle and provided just the right amount of sweetness and floral essence to counter the matcha's bitterness. The fizziness made this a perfect drink for a hot day. I've tried Mind Coffee's espresso on a prior visit, and I can now say they succeed in both the coffee and matcha categories.

We ordered an Americano, the Earl Gray Matcha Einspanner Latte, and the Sakura Matcha Mindspanner Latte. The presentation was gorgeous, from the cups to the cream. The Sakura Matcha Mindspanner was definitely my favorite all around. The hint of sakura combined with the bold matcha was a very fun flavor experience. I think sadly, in the Earl Gray Matcha Einspanner, the matcha overpowered the earl gray. The flavor was there, but it was extremely subtle (don't get me wrong, I'd definitely get it again). Also, their espresso is unmatched. It really reminded me what a good espresso shot should taste like. The staff here were super friendly right off the bath. Even though there is an ordering kiosk available, they still went out of their way to greet us and let us know that they are there to also take orders and answer questions. I was also a bit bummed that they were sold out of their Orange Blossom Latte. I feel like it would taste like an orange creamsicle. They were very reassuring that it's a regular menu item and that I can hopefully get my hands on one before it sells out for the day next time! I can't wait to see what they come out with next!
