I've always ordered my pizza from Red Baron pizzas and I always order the same toppings of mushrooms, black olives and anchovies but this last order was so disappointing. It tasted as ifin they put vinegar in the sauce and the anchovies tasted as if they heated then in the microwave, very dry, and they really did not taste like anchovies at all! Ive been here a few dozen times since they're the only pizza that I actually enjoy the sauce more than the other places,(Mr d's pizza is good too but their sauce is too bland for me). The prices are good too,I always get the xl 16" 1 toppings for $13.00 deal & I've always been happy with it. I drive from Victorville to pick up every time,as unfortunately they don't deliver to Victorville but that's completely understandable imo. I would give 2 stars based on decent quality and service ON PAST VISITS, but this time ruined everything. I ordered online last night and the total came to $34 and change. I got an alert from my Visa that I was charged $39+. I called Red Baron to find out why and was told that they were having issues with the company they use for credit card purchases. They offered to refund me, but I told them just to give the driver the difference as a tip. The driver shows up an hour later telling me that "the $2 difference" would be credited back to my account. I tipped the driver in cash even though it wasn't a $2 difference and I asked them to give to the driver. I never got the refund and ended up tipping cash anyway. So I was ripped off twice, GOOD JOB GUYS!!! I will never go back and wouldn't recommend anyone else use them either. Since posting, my card was refunded to the correct charge. Over the last year I've been making my own pizzas buying the dough balls from Red BAron. the price continued to rise from $2.00 each then $3.00 then &$4.00. Last week I stopped in and was charged $7.00 and was charged $7.00 by a smurcking / grimacing owner/manager. I replied " last week they were only $4.00 WTF".
