This is a great place for horse feed and hay. They also carry McCoy's raw unfiltered honey which is hard to find. I order first cut timothy and alfalfa separately which I use to mix my own "T and A" hay. The hay is always fresh and i have never had a problem with delivery. This red barn was such a charming find in Loxahatchee Groves. Loxahatchee Groves is a very rural area of south Florida. People choose to live here so they can have farms, horses, and other animals. Red Barn Feed & Supply Inc., was created in 1989 by Jerry and Betty Case in response to the need for high quality food and products for the animals of Palm Beach County. Red Barn started out as a feed store and has now grown to over 20,000 feet to offer products for animals and their caretakers. Animal feed was where Red Barn started in business and they offer food for livestock and house pets but they can also supply for exotic pets as well. In addition to food they offer shelters, pens, toys, harnesses, leashes, treats, dishes, water bottles, and anything else you might need related to animal and pet care including grooming, housing, and bedding. I was able to pick up food for my bunny Hopper. I looked at some really nice houses for him and if I ever get a windfall, the $700 bunny mansion is ear marked for him. The most horrible service ever received. I work in Fort Lauderdale area I drive to this feeding store because they have the food my horses like. Due to me not getting off to 5 and having to drive from Fort Lauderdale to West Palm Beach it gets hard to make it before the store close. So I decided to call and ask if they can just stay open 10 minutes for me to grab the food and pay I will be there by 7:10pm. I even offered to pay for the food over the phone and have them leave it outside so I can feed my horses and they stated no they will not stay open for 10 minutes. That was the moment I realize they do not care about customer service, they do not care about the animals and they do care about anything. I will not longer be coming to this store anymore. I rather go somewhere where I am treating with excellent and who actually cares about their customers. I hope one day every one realizes they deserve better service than this store. Red Barn will do if you're in a pinch but some things are significantly over priced and I have had several occasions where there's a price tag on the item I'm buying but a higher amount comes up on the register. For example, I picked up two feed tubs, all 15 of them had yellow price tags that said $26. When I went to check out it rang up as $38. I put both back and will just order them online. read more

Great place, they have mostly western stuff that is hard to find around this area. The apparel store is super cute, they have very nice and unique stuff...and the staff is super friendly...they say hi, goodbye and thank you.... not common this days. Is a well situated store. I have shopped here on a weekly basis for the past 10 years, at least. I finally bit the bullet and had to switch. The hay is too expensive for the inconsistent quality and have received many moldy bales over the years. They charge over $200 minimum for free delivery and when you are boarding one horse, that's just impossible to reach. The delivery charge in that case is about $25 the last I checked. The product prices inside the store are high and I've saved upwards of $18 on just one supplement by going to Tractor Supply. I will go here if I'm in a jam, but not on the regular anymore. read more

Absolutely love this place. I buy feed for my chickens here every time and not once has it not been a great experience. I've bought 10 chicks from this place and they are all well and alive. Use to be a friendly store for the locals. Now it has become a place that caters only to the English riders. The prices have gone up, hay prices are astronomical considering their hay sits in storage for long period of time before they even get it. Their cheapest hay is 17.00 and normally is dried out and colorless. It's sad that they are pushing out the locals. read more

Super disappointed. I have 2 gift cards of $50 that are a few years old. I really didn't think time would be an issue since I didn't see Red Barn going out of business anytime soon. I came to the store yesterday with the gift cards to make a purchase. I find out they no longer have the system to read the gift cards so they are not usable. I'm super disappointed. I waited way too long to use them, I get that, but thought they were as good as cash. Manager would not honor any amount so I'm out $100. read more

So sad...we have been going to the Red Barn since we have lived here...never returned anything, never had a problem and today we open a bag of Purina Layng Mash that we bought there about 2 weeks and we find mold all over the food. I call the manager, Trina, to let her know and to inform her that we will be coming in for an exchange. She proceeded to tell me that without a receipt she will not exchange the $20 item. Really? After being a customer for 16plus years!!! Shame on them!!!! We obviously will not be purchasing anything from them anymore. Any body else have anything similiar happen to them? Read the reviews, hay is definitely hit or miss, I've had bales that look half the size of others.. also received incorrect types of hay... some bales are straight alfalfa when I ordered T&A... don't bother speaking to the manager about INCORRECT ORDERS or orders SENT TO THE WRONG BARN , he will blame you and make excuses as to why the situation happened and raise his voice!!! Alex you need a new job...! I specifically wrote delivery instructions and they didn't follow them or take responsibility! A lot of other places in town that sell better hay! read more

This is THE WORST feed store in the wellington area. There service is horrendous and their managers are extremely incompetent. This trickles down to the sales and delivery people. Their prices are too hight to be such self entitled dotards!!! Jeff, the owner, is non existent. Steve and Alex are both big jerks. They take no responsibility for ANY of their mistakes and label the client as being a problem - yet they have no problem sending moldy dusty hay. The delivery guys leave my place a bloody pigsty every time they leave. Most bags of feed i get have holes eaten into them. They do not stack hay but throw it willy nilly into your feed room. They send the wrong hay and call you crappy names when you call to return it. They will argue with you about what hay you buy on a weekly basis and tell you you have no idea what you are talking about. I may only spend 45k there a year, but it is hard earned money & I deserve the same respect & quality of service as the next person. Do yourself a favor, shop elsewhere, unless you do not mind crappy service and quality. Good bloody riddance!!!! There are too many options here to settle for this! read more

Absolutely terrible service. I have a reoccurring order that is to be delivered every Friday and TODAY WAS THE THIRD time that my hay was not delivered and another time they brought the completely wrong hay. I don't understand how a business like this cannot provide the food that my animals need to survive. I have discontinued all ties with this business. It is absolutely awful. read more
