Full disclosure I always stop here when I drive through Attica. I grabbed a bottle of oj out of the fridge and after browsing the snacks I settled on some honey roasted cashews. I tried to avoid eye contact with the men sitting in chairs watching a TV on the wall as I went to the register to pay. But as the cashier tried to scan the bottle he stopped, looked up and asked me to hold on for a second. I thought maybe the bottle wouldn't scan or something and he needed to know the price because he walked to the back of the store, opened the refrigerated case I got it from, and commenced to pulling out one bottle after another looking at the labels, tucking it under his arm and pulling out the next one. It was then I realized they were probably expired. By this point the TV dudes were now standing behind me in line. As I awkwardly turned around we all mumbled to one another about what the issue was likely to be. We all watched the cashier end up with an armful of oj and then go into the back stockroom. He came back out maybe 10 seconds later, and now he only had one bottle of juice in his hand. When he got to the register and set it down I asked "was it expired or something?" And he pauses and goes, "......yeah" and then as he was ringing me up his eyes opened wide. I added, "by a lot??" and he chuckles and goes "I don't know if I wanna say" I'm like "dang that long, huh?" and we laughed. As the men behind me commented to each other and me that the cashier had not only noticed something most people wouldn't, but that he had gone the extra mile, I looked over my shoulder and agreed while paying for my fresh snacks. I thanked the cashier for catching that and asked his name. His name was Jesus. Thanks for everything, Jesus. You're the man!

This is a very good place that you should go to for ice cream. Speaking of ice cream, they have a variety of flavors like "cookies n' cream", "Mint Chocolate chip", and "strawberry cheesecake". One time I was with me and my sisters and we were waiting in line for so long that the lady working at the register let us get our things for free. Overall this place is amazing and a great place to hang out with friends or family.

The chain is able to slash prices using minimal staff and foregoing the usual up selling techniques like end caps. Fruit is sold directly from the packing boxes it was shipped in. Berries usually look good until you get them home and realize 2/3 of the pack are rotten. I've taken them back but honestly, it's not usually worth the gas for an extra trip. Can usually find some great vegan items here in the "special find" section, but you have to grab them when you see them. Often I'll get them home, we'll try them a few days later- love them, but then go back to the store to get more and they're gone.

My beef with this place is the overnight staff. There is a Garth look-a-like and an elderly grump. Neither are big on personality and both have a wierd germ phobia. Whenever I purchase anything from the store my change is dropped from about 2 feet above my hand. I don't sport any visible open sores and I am dressed appropriately for my nighttime delivery occupation ( and it's not the oldest profession in the world). These people see me maybe two time a week and I am still treated as a pariah. Today was special. Stopped to fill up and when I scanned my card the pump give a loud screech and indicated "Must See Cashier". I walked inside to see a new "friend", one I've never had the pleasure of catching coins from before. I said the "pump" tells me I need to see you. She responds with snarky commentary like I have not heard before - at least she spoke. After listening about how she cannot read pumps or registers from where she is standing she decides to check out her register. We could have saved time by her keeping her lips zipped and just checking the damn register for the error response. End result, her response, my card is no good. Bogus card. Will not be accepted. After this warm welcome I proceed outside and rescan my card. All was well. Minimun gas pumped and I proceeded to fill up at the next 24/7 station.
