I selected the "debit" on the left of the screen (a second debit reference is on the right side of the screen) and it did process my card as credit.

Food and drink is reasonably priced. Staff is friendly. Manager is great; I have even gone in and paid for gas and then got in my car without pumping and drove home, realizing my error as I got to my street. I went back to the store and the manager fixed my silly mistake. There is also a Tim Hortons here and a drive through car wash (I have not used it so I can't comment on this). If you use the car wash, you can save some change on the cost of gas.

The store is basically a decent indie version of a7-11. It's a quick place to grab beer (they have a surprisingly decent selection) or a bag of chips. Everything is outrageously priced--but the convenience factor is HIGH. And, honestly, not giving your $ to 7-11 is pretty appealing--as is shopping in a store with handwritten signs and a colorful staff.

If you go to the full service pump employees will wash your windows while the gas is pumping and they ask if you'd like your oil checked. I do believe Valero also offers car servicing as well, such as,oil changes. There is a small area inside to buy drinks and candy. I've been here many times and haven't had any issues.

My beef with this place is the overnight staff. There is a Garth look-a-like and an elderly grump. Neither are big on personality and both have a wierd germ phobia. Whenever I purchase anything from the store my change is dropped from about 2 feet above my hand. I don't sport any visible open sores and I am dressed appropriately for my nighttime delivery occupation ( and it's not the oldest profession in the world). These people see me maybe two time a week and I am still treated as a pariah. Today was special. Stopped to fill up and when I scanned my card the pump give a loud screech and indicated "Must See Cashier". I walked inside to see a new "friend", one I've never had the pleasure of catching coins from before. I said the "pump" tells me I need to see you. She responds with snarky commentary like I have not heard before - at least she spoke. After listening about how she cannot read pumps or registers from where she is standing she decides to check out her register. We could have saved time by her keeping her lips zipped and just checking the damn register for the error response. End result, her response, my card is no good. Bogus card. Will not be accepted. After this warm welcome I proceed outside and rescan my card. All was well. Minimun gas pumped and I proceeded to fill up at the next 24/7 station.

Most of the items were supposed to be shipped to our house and two items, a case of Diet Coke and a bag of chicken nuggets, were scheduled for curbside pickup on Tuesday between 11:00 and 12:00. I showed up Tuesday during my pickup window and was told they were so far behind on orders that I'd be lucky to get my order that day. I asked if I could just go in, grab the two items myself and have them mark the order as picked up. I was told no because they had to work the orders in order. They told me to come back around 4 or 5 that afternoon. So we found things to do around town and drove back to Sam's Club. The order still wasn't ready. This time they told me to come back Wednesday because they were about a day behind. Wednesday I came back again. Same answer. Still wasn't ready. At that point I called Member Services to see what options I had. Since the rest of the order was still "processing" for shipping they told me I couldn't even cancel it. So basically my money was tied up and all I could do was wait. Thursday morning I made my fourth trip to Sam's Club and finally picked up the two items. Four trips over three days for a case of Diet Coke and a bag of chicken nuggets. While I was there I checked on the rest of the order. Nine other items still hadn't shipped. They weren't even being prepared to ship. They were just sitting in "processing" with no estimated ship date and nobody could tell me when they would actually leave the warehouse. That's probably been the most frustrating part. Once they have your money you're stuck. You can't cancel because the order is processing, but nothing is actually happening. Customer service couldn't give me any answers or any real solution other than to keep waiting. I understand stores get busy. I understand things happen. But don't let customers pick a pickup window if the store is already a day behind. Don't make someone drive back four different times for two items. And if an order sits in processing for days, there should be a way to cancel it instead of tying up someone's money indefinitely. My wife has been saying for years, "We should have just gone to BJ's." This was the last time I'll be hearing that because she's right. Something that's supposed to be convenient has somehow always turned into more work, more driving, more frustration and more wasted time. After 9 years, we're letting our Sam's Club membership expire and switching to BJ's. I really hate writing negative reviews, but this experience was handled so poorly that I felt other people should know what to expect.

Appreciate the customer service, scan and go as well as curbside pickup. Only downsides- 1. at times is when you don't need items in bulk. 2. If you do curbside you have to be sure to ensure the item is for 'pick up' and not shipping otherwise some of you items will be dropped at your doorstep days later. 3. Noticed that they carry a product (Buldak Ramen in the pink package) that says on the back label it causes cancer and reproductive harm. When I complained to corporate someone did call me right away but then I heard absolutely nothing for the last 3 months. Don't buy that!!!! I look forward to some Costco specific items whenever they break ground, but until then my local Sam's meets most my needs.
