The most relaxing experience I've had in a long time. If you haven't tried floating therapy, I highly recommend giving it a try at Recover. I became relaxed from the moment I walked in the door due to the calming aroma essential oil defuses and soothing sounds. The staff were friendly, calm and gave me a feeling of relaxation, security and importance. The floating room was secluded from the rest of the facility and quiet from outside distractions. It was very clean, smelled of lavender and extremely calming. After a brief overview of how to get started, all the amenities and safety procedures of the float tank, I was left alone. I got undressed, took a quick shower and then stepped into the perfect body temperature water, closed the lid, laid back and immediately started to float without any effort. Once in I had the option to leave the light on or off. I turned off the light because wanted the full experience of darkness and soundless floating. It took me about 10 minutes to clam my mind and begin a relaxed meditation. With the lack of any physical pressure on any part of my body, I remained completely relaxed throughout the entire 60 min session. When the tank light came on and I heard the sound of soothing music, I knew my session was over. I must have fallen asleep, because it felt like I had been in there for 15 minutes or so. I got out, took a shower to rinse off the salt and got dressed. Best therapy session of any kind I have ever experienced. Short story: Dr. G is an amazing therapist who really goes above and beyond for her patients! Long story: I've recently completed my third round of physical therapy for pain in my knees and hips. Dr. G was the third therapist I've seen and definitely the most thorough. She really worked to find the root of the issue, rather than just general muscle strengthening. I've been given several home exercises to complete during the process of therapy, as well as ones to continue with to prevent future injury. Anytime I was having new (and often unrelated) symptoms or pains, she always had ideas for how to treat them. She was always willing to find the cause for a problem and give me some quick exercises even if it wasn't a problem directly related to my knees and hips. Recently, I emailed her regarding a severe migraine I was having. I'd had the migraine for 5 days and was getting desperate about a cure so I emailed Dr. G seeing if there was anything she could do. She got me in the next day and worked her magic to give me some immediate relief. I highly recommend her and Recover for any physical therapy needs! read more

I'm a disabled veteran who has one foot flatter than another. This prevents me from being on my feet too much and this also causes spasms of pain, if I don't stretch or do something regularly. I'm not sure if the VA is willing to cover it, but I'm about to find out if I can get regular treatment. I tried sensory deprivation therapy for the first time tonight and it was well worth every penny. You can use lights and listen to music for a more laid back session, but I went all-out and I would highly recommend it to anyone who's never tried it before. Not only do they offer the float tank, but Recover also has a very comfortable wait area with three recliners; one being a full body shiatsu massage chair that you can use before and/or after. Marcus was awesome in making it a worthwhile experience that I will come back for more of and it's a very reasonable price for something that provides healing on a whole different level. I repeat...I highly recommend sensory deprivation float tank therapy for anyone who's never tried it before. I'll be telling everyone I know about this experience. read more

What an amazing facility Marcus has put together at Recover. Today was my first visit to do Floatation therapy. I was not sure what exactly to expect but Marcus made it such a simple and painless process. The floatation therapy itself was quite incredible, I was able to relax every single muscle in my body and then start to let my mind relax as well. I have been training quite a bit so I also used the Normatec Compression system which always cuts my recovery time in half. I think Marcus has just about thought of every single thing, including the incredible massage chair that I would sell my car to have. I couldn't have asked for a better first experience and look forward to being back again very soon! read more
