I asked if he needed to come out and measure and he said no, he was familiar with my existing sink. We discussed top mount vs undermount and the emails clearly show that we opted for the undermount. The sink and stopper arrived and Joe scheduled the installation for 9/26/23. His installer (Joe) arrived and was very nice. He started unloading tools and then measuring. He advised me that he would need to cut the granite and in order to accomodate the faucet and soap dispenser. That would leave "HALF MOON" sized peices of granite that he would need to epoxy to put back together that would be visible to the eye. He would attempt to color match the granite with no guarantees. The granite was only 18 months old and we said that we did not want that option. He said he could top mount it so I called my wife down to discuss. Meanwhile he is in the kitchen waiting for us to decide on the spot. I made my personal desire clear that I wanted undermount from the start but my wife gave in to the pressure and said being that he was here and ready to install the sink, we could "LIVE WITH" top mounting option. Joe opened the granite hole, installed the sink and here we are.. I am personally not happy with how this all went. I gave in to the wife but we should have NEVER BEEN PLACED IN THAT POSITION. Now I have to live with the outcome. Joe should have slowed down, come out and measured properly so we could have the sink and the install that we discussed with no suprises. I paid full price $2800 and lesson learned. Do NOT ALLOW HIM TO RUSH YOU and do not proceed and settle for anything less than discussed. So now we have a sing that we actually hate! We even miss our old stainless sink and we will have to replace the granite if we ever want another undermount sink to replace this one. Tough luck for us sadly. Cannot recommend this process unfortunately. Best of luck...

Even though we paid extra for one of the company's designers. You would think they would have foresight in where electric, lights and such would go. Multiple mistakes. They have misplaced them on each place they put them. The project started over a year ago. It was a garage, a room addition, and later I added a foyer/porch. I only did one change order for that. My joists sat for months growing mold. They were still put in my project, even with my protest. I forced the company owner to visit back in June. He told me he was embarrassed and would take care of me. He did NOT. This was the most expensive mistake I have ever made. The project was overpriced for what I have received. This project is over $150k, you'd think they could at least be nice to me. This should have been a 3 month long project. Some of the subs were good. Some weren't. I have been living in one bedroom during this entire project and haven't had a kitchen since June. My furniture has been in storage. Our social and family life has been on hold. We haven't been able to have our grandchildren here because of living in a construction zone. I wish I could give a better review.

The work was well done and the final result was fantastic. During the process they did a great job of keeping the house relatively clean and dust-free. They also accomplished the work exactly within the time frame they described for it. John clearly takes a tremendous amount of pride in providing quality workmanship that achieves the highest standards. In the end, we felt like we had a new space. We will definitely plan on using Kiernan Remodeling again in the future.

They performed as perfectly as possible. Brian took 4 days to install the cabinets in our 1926 house (after 99 years, the floors and walls needed help). I watched and helped a little. Excellent workmanship. Then the Quartz counter top. The crew again did a perfect job. The kitchen turned out better than we hoped. Another good part of working with Robert Ellingsen, owner, is that he has his own workers, no subletting. He also demonstrated real integrity in his words and actions. The whole project got done in under a month. My son and I did the demolition and the new vinyl plank flooring. The proverbial icing on the cake was that he was way less expensive than the others. Promised their attention to detail which just did not happen both in the design phase and building phase. You would think a kitchen remodeling company would know how to install an exhaust fan in an already existing vent (they had the specs of the fan since the design phase). But no, when the kitchen was mostly done and a handmade tile backsplash was already in the owner announced we would just have to buy the recirculating kit because they couldn't vent the fan out. Total disappointment in how this was handled. We hired another contractor to do the job right. We will also have to hire a flooring contractor to fix a design issue they missed, part of my cabinets sit on a new tile floor and part on existing wood floor.

After reading so many rave reviews we knew that we chose the right company. The entire staff at PDR was amazing. When I met with Dana Lokker I told her what I was looking for and showed her a few of my pins from Pinterest. She measured then went on her way. A week or so later so revealed the design and I couldn't believe it. She hit every nail on the head. She even suggested a few things that I never thought of which made the design that much more grand. Demo started and PDR and their subs were all very nice and did quality work. I felt comfortable with everyone in my home. Even though the foot print pretty much stayed the same I have double the amount of storage then I did before because of the design that Dana created. My kitchen, pantry and dry bar is by far more functional then before and I couldn't be happier with the finished project. I would like to personally thank Tom, Bob, Kenny, Dan, Dana, Andres and Carrie as they each had a hand in part of our renovation. They were all very friendly, professional and knowledgeable and I highly recommend PDR to all of our friends and family.
