We have known Dr. Soo for quite a few years now and would not consider anyone else for spinal surgery. He is truly a genius and is a very caring doctor. I had a very rare condition in the spinal cord in which Dr. Soo performed an operation. He took the time to research and care for my case personally, above and beyond the call of duty that no other physician would take on. His sense of humor lightens the mood of some potentially bad news. But I assure you, if it can be fixed, he will fix it!!! Both offices are very busy, however, if you are able to book an appointment on a Thursday, I find that the Novi location to be a bit less crowded. You should book your appointment at least a month in advance, or two if you can. To avoid a long wait, you can ask for the first appointment of the day. Just a couple suggestions that are hopefully helpful.

I then tried the online scheduling portal, and it appeared that Dr. Houseman had no appointment availability at all. For a large medical group, I expected a much easier process--especially for a patient trying to address a potentially serious medical issue. At the very least, there should be a simple option to speak with a human being who can explain availability, cancellations, referrals, or next steps. I can't comment on Dr. Houseman's medical care because I haven't been able to get far enough in the process to schedule an appointment. This review is strictly about the scheduling and communication experience, which so far has been extremely frustrating and disappointing.

Been motorcrossing and doing martial arts and working ever since. Now going to take it to the next level. Don't take the first review from the guy that obviously needs a 'different kind of doctor' and someone to lick his wounds for him lol. Do yourself (and your body a favor) Go here, you will not regret that you did. If recommended physical therapy by all means follow up as advised and remember you only get out of it what you put in. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. They didn't take me back until 2:15. The doctor did not come in the room until sometime around 3:30pm. I went to ask if they perhaps forgot about me (this actually happened to me at a different place) and they assured me that this long wait is normal. What? If it's normal then perhaps trying to come up with a solution for this issue would be beneficial. My only bit of solace was knowing that they close at 4:30 so I knew I couldn't be there forever. My appointment lasted under 10 minutes. I had another appointment and because I waited so long the first time, I wanted to arrive exactly at my appointment time. I misjudged the time and would be 10 minutes late. I called though to tell them and I was put on hold. They informed the doctor and he said we would have to reschedule! lol! The person on the phone was super friendly and apologetic but I think it's insane that I can wait so long for my appointment the first time which is "normal" but they couldn't take me 10 minutes late?!? It makes me feel as though they really don't care about me as a patient. At all. I'm in pain and my appointment was just for a steroid shot.

Really, I'd lost all faith in doctors and thought that I'd make the best of an awful situation. Three years later, I reached out to a friend for advice. She gave me Dr. Tanzman's information, and in April 2023 I scheduled my consult. From the moment I walked into his office I had a sense of peace. After speaking with Dr. Tanzman I knew that this is where I was meant to be. Dr. Tanzman is nothing short of amazing. He is thorough in his examination, listened carefully to my concerns, and then made excellent recommendations; he is compassionate. I had breast augmentation and scar revision on May 9, 2023; the results are beautiful! I highly recommend him, and will most definitely use him in the future. I had Brest augmentation first. my implant was sliding out of my left breast and would try to go…read moreto the middle of my breasts almost on to my breast bone. dr Chau kept telling me it was ok that once I healed it wouldn't. thank god I did my own research to learn how to make it heal properly. He then did a second procedure a few weeks later. he told me that he does back to back procedures all of the time. After my tummy tuck my incision opened while I was still in the hospital when the nurse tried to get me out of bed. Dr Chau told the nurse he was out to eat and it wouldn't be until the end of the day that he came and he did not believe my incision opened because that doesn't happen. He finally got to the hospital and found it was open. He sewed me close in the hospital room in a non stream environment. My healing process was absolutely terrible. I have photos of my infection growing that my husband would send dr Chau and he would say "it's normal". My whole back ending up opening again at home due to the infection. I went septic before dr Chau would see me. I ended up having to go to the ER and have a surgery to scrape out infection and close me back. My stomach is crooked, my belly button is crooked and half of it hangs, my boobs are different sizes and definitely nowhere near what I wanted. I wouldn't trust dr Chau to work on my worst enemy. I beg you to go somewhere else. This man should not have a practice.
