The place has a good size parking lot, and they even sell car oil in case you need it. The staff was helpful enough. There seems to be always cops at this place. Not because the place is dangerous, but because South Amboy is soo small, they have nowhere else to go ;)

Although sometimes what I order is not always consistently made, convenience trumps everything, and on days when I need seven black cherry seltzers because I'm running around and dehydrated but don't want food, they'll still deliver it to me. I love them. I appreciate that they are courteous and they know that they can communicate with me, and I'll always take care of them and make sure nothing happens inside or outside of their establishment. Selection is always sufficient to fulfill grocery needs. They do not have all forms of produce they have quite a good representation even during recently iffy supply times. A small meat and seafood sections are there with the same emphasis on core needs not extreme selection. do you use architecture plies with bare wood displays and so-so signage. There is barely any space for a cart although a few are available outside. Service, namely checkout, is typically curt but efficient and swift. The staff primarily speak Cantonese and Taishanese. I come back as my starting point for groceries and then fill in the gaps with the Thanksgiving Market across 86th.

My mom and sister like coming to Homey Supermarket typically because it's convenient (just 2-3 blocks from my home) and they have good quality produce, seafood, meat and etc. They don't have as much fruits as the Chinese supermarkets across the street, but the quality is good and at a decent price. I also like that they are opened early. I used to not like coming here just because there's a worker there that I am not a fan of because he likes to stare at a lot of the women that walk by or in. However, I decided to ignore the fact that he's there and buy whatever groceries I need.
