This is the least up kept store in the chain. It's not beautiful like the other's. Few cashiers and slow moving lines are always an issue.

Everything they smoke is bought from this place and as an organization they've been smoking meat since 1976. They also have a spot in Eufaula, OK. Just as awesome! I highly recommend both locations!

This place! A meat…read moremarket and a restaurant--with an indoor, air-conditioned patio that's spacious enough for even large groups. Oh, and the food? So. Good. We originally stopped in just to buy a couple of steaks. But the mouthwatering aroma of BBQ pulled us over to the meat counter and daily menu board. Naturally, we had to try a few things. We decided to go with the stuffed spud--amazing! Packed with so much BBQ meat, I had enough left over for a sandwich the next day. The pulled pork was excellent. I'm not a sauce kind of gal, so I really appreciated that it was served "naked." A good smoked pulled pork doesn't need to hide under sauce! (Though, they will give you a boat of pickles if you ask--pickles and pork? Wrap me up and send me to paradise.) My guy, on the other hand, loves sauce. Watson's has three varieties, including a spicy one that gave his brisket-stuffed spud that twangy kick he loves. And yes, it was stuffed. These spuds alone are worth the stop--giant baked potatoes cooked to perfection, loaded with butter, cheese, and sour cream (if requested), then topped with generous portions of BBQ meat and delivered by the friendliest staff. After eating (and boxing up the leftovers), we explored the market--frozen meals, jams and jellies, salsas, sauces, and fresh baked goods. We picked up a loaf of pumpkin nut bread. Moist, flavorful, and delicious. They also had banana nut and zucchini breads--next time I might try one of each! Now back to our original mission: steaks. I'm a filet-only kind of gal, but I'll admit the other cuts looked so good they almost converted me. Still, we stuck with the filets. We were so full from lunch that we waited until the next evening to grill them--and wow. My guy cooks steak better than any restaurant, and the Watson's filet was up to the task--perfectly grilled to just under medium, almost fork-tender, and absolutely delicious. Next time, I might buy an extra filet... or maybe just grab a couple of those giant baking potatoes and recreate that loaded spud at home.
