This my mom's preferred Asian store in the Tulsa Metro. It's not crowded, clean, & able to navigate through the store easily. They don't overstock their products so that it doesn't just sit on the shelf. My mom loves to get her produce here. I love the papaya salad you can order at the deli. It's my absolute favorite and a must try! It's packed full of flavors and to your own desired spice level. If you have peanut or crustacean allergy, make sure to let them know, they may be able to hold back the sauce and or crushed nuts. This store is owned by a local Hmong church family and everyone there is so friendly. Growing up in Tulsa, I knew a lot of those people and it's always so refreshing to see their faces when I come back to visit. They have a lot of selections on oriental items such as noodles, candy, snacks, sauces, frozen food, fresh veggies, meat cuts and everything you can think of. If you're looking for a quick lunch, they also have a deli to serve you food or drinks. It's always delicious and always a delight to go to Asian Mart. They have great selections at a great price. Wow. This place has slummed out over the last few years. Initially I really liked going to this place because it was set up so much better and quite honestly didn't smell as bad as Nam Hai. They had a large selection of different foods and a small hot food service area as well. My last trip in tho was a disappointment. Shelves are mostly empty, some parts of the store looked ransacked. The hot area is shutdown. They don't have near the selection of items they used to have. It seems like it's in it's death throes as a business. Even though there were a lot of items out of stock, I did come here at the start of the Coronavirus pandemic. Regardless, they carry many things I haven't been able to find anywhere else and there isn't unpleasant smells like in other markets in the area. Asian Mart is very clean and the workers helpful and nice. If you're looking for ingredients to make homemade phó, I attached a photo of the brand I used that worked perfectly! It's in the same aisle as the sugar, boba and other spices on the immediate left on the bottom shelf (if you're facing the back of the store). I almost missed it, so make sure when you go your first time, you really check each shelf. They also have a cafe inside and I really want to try their boba and food soon, although be warned they are cash only! read more

A nice clean Asian food store and deli. I love coming here because I can shop for groceries and grab a bite to eat at the same time. The food is pretty tasty and is soul food for me because I am Hmong and the deli offers Hmong style food. Today I did a little shopping and ate at the deli. The store has a plethora of Asian goods including a butcher shop with really nice dudes to assist you. You can get fresh fish, ox tails, beef bones, pork belly, crawfish and a whole bunch of other meats. I'd definitely recommend getting a Asian drink in the refrigerator. My favorite is the Mogu Mogu drink with jellies. It's refreshing. The deli offers a variety of foods. Sometimes the menu changes and you can get something new to savor but the menu is consistent. There is usually fried chicken legs, Hmong sausages, sesame balls, egg rolls, sweet pork with eggs, boba tea, pork buns, curry, papaya salad and a lot more I can't think of. The only problem is the food is not cooked cook to order so it might not be the freshest. Overall, it's a great Asian shop and eatery. read more

When you are traveling, you are shopping light if you are shopping at all. Maybe you are just here out of curiosity. I am from the Dallas-Fort Worth area and we do have a large Asian population and many markets of all kinds; but when I travel, I still like to "look around." This market has taken full advantage of all of their space. They even have a lovely traditional clothing area and an oversized cooking supplies area. I believe that you could find most everything here you wanted for daily needs. The fresh meat and seafood section was one of the cleanest I have ever seen. This review is just for the deli, we had ordered a lot of food from the deli and it did not disappoint!!! We'd ordered the Hmong sausages, fried fish, pork chops, pork intestines, eggplant stirred fried, sweet pork, egg rolls and sriracha wings. Hmong sausages 4/5 Typical sausages but it was cook right Fried Tilapia 4/5 Very crispy and nicely deep fried Pork Chop 4/5 You can actually taste the charred on this and that add another level of flavor Pork intestines 4/5 Probably one of the best I had had in the south from a Hmong deli. Eggplant stirred Fried 5/5 My favorite dish, full of favors but a bit oily Egg rolls 3/5 Sriracha Wings 3/5 Pretty much what it is, nothing too catchy or draw attention, we just wanted wings and a new experience. read more

Actually, I agree with Ginger A. This place is distinctly clean and larger space than another Asian place in 31 and Garrett. Their costs are cheaper when I wish it. Deli? It totally awesome. I really enjoy their meals and when I order I want to eat. It reminds me that it's Hmong tradition. The staffs are really caring and helpful a lot... I went here on 06/25/13 in search of two things: shirataki noodles and Red Boat Fish Sauce - of which Asian Mart has neither. This is probably the largest store for prepackaged Asian food in terms of store size, but I'm not sure they carry the largest variety of foods. The aisles are huge because there's max 4-5 aisles. They don't care a lot of the brands or products that I'm used to seeing at other Asian grocery chains such as Ranch 99 Market. They sell traditional clothes and boba here, just a heads up. read more

It's been a while since I've been here, but it doesn't seem as great as I remember it. I came here looking for rice to make sushi...but didn't find the exact brand I was looking for. Yes, while this place may be cleaner than Nam Hai, it doesn't have as much variety. The meat and vegetables looked okay....the things in the freezer/fridge were starting to get on the sketchy/looks-like-it's-been-in-here-too-long side. Fresh lime leaves for $1/package? Huge container of awesome green tea for $3? Those yummy thai eggplants that you can never find ANYWHERE for super cheap? YES, YES and YES. I stopped into Asia Mart last week to get some ingredients for a Thai recipe I've been dying to make. In addition to finding everything I needed for the recipe, I found fun snacks, tea, veggies, etc. The veggies all looked really fresh and were super well priced. The snacks were exciting - it took all my willpower to not walk out with 48 packs of strawberry pocky sticks. When I had trouble locating something, the friendly staff (wearing a sriracha tshirt that I must buy) walked around with me to help me find it. I left with a couple bags full of great items and without a big dent in the wallet. read more

This store is the first Asian store I've been to and I think it is really wonderful. It is delightful to look at the products they have, they have many fruits I have never seen in real life before, which is extremely amazing to me. They also have traditional clothing hung on a shelving which is super cool to look at. There is neat soup bowls I totally wish I had this winter to eat yummy soup out of, too. They also have some CDs on one shelf and a shelf of odd things like beautiful parasols, and some paper lanterns. If that wasn't enough, the customer service is very friendly and they speak English very well, the cashier even is nice to me when I cannot make sure my debit card is on the right side to slide it, haha. :) They have a deli, which is apparently pretty popular for its lunch food, although I wouldn't know due to every time my family and I get there the food is all eaten up! Hehe They sell bubble tea at the deli too! Gah! Bubble tea or (boba tea, pearl milk tea) is soo good. You can even stand there and watch the person make it. (*you have to pay at a different register if you're paying with a card. If I remember right you can pay cash right there at the deli but that register doesn't have a card thing I think, although the nice employee usually tells you) -you can get your boba tea iced -you can get your boba tea blended -you can get your boba tea without pearls -there are a few different boba options but the pearls are the best in my opinion -there a few different tea flavors -there are two different sizes of their boba tea, small, which is cheapest, and large which is a bit pricy not not bad -the plastic wrap on the boba tea straws can be recycled right there at the deli counter (saving the world one boba tea straw wrapping at a time ^.^) They sell actual tapioca pearls (the boba, and the pearls you can get in the bubble tea) which you can cook yourself at home -which is cheaper although not as good or even heck as quick to get as tapioca pearls take a long time to cook- in large white, small white, and several other colors and sizes. I did not see any black tapioca pearls, that is fine, although I was pretty curious on why they didn't sell any, maybe a question to ask an employee next time I'm there, I suppose. *edit; found the black boba! And some a lot easier to cook boba, it turns out they just didn't have any that time I went. ^^ They also have milk tea packets, though sadly they do not have pearls in them, they are extremely good warm on a cold day, and you can get a lot for cheap. For hard core sweet fans, there is a of isle worth of sweets, and sweet things to buy are pretty much anywhere in the store, tempting you to try them. They have a fish deli... I think that's what it would be called, maybe, but I'm not too sure, which sells fish for you to cook, but I'm not a fan of any seafood at all so I tend to not even look at the fish they have, so I wouldn't know if their fish is any good or not, that'll have to be up to you. Plus, no real notable smell unless you're right up standing next to the fish counter, but even that is a pretty light smell, and it only makes sense for you to smell it if you're right up there at the fish deli. Moving from somewhere that has always had a large variety of Asian markets, I really felt like I was missing that here when I moved to Tulsa. I found out about this place from someone at work who had been here before and said that it was much larger than the other places that were in this area. I figured why not give it a try. Once I heard there was a meat counter I was in! They also have bubble tea and pre made foods which is another great feature! Walking in at first I realized the location was a little sketchy, but what Asian market isn't?! I loved that it was more open the other ones I have been to in this area, and they also had cookware! I went to the meat counter instantly and saw they had pork ribs and shrimp. I love that they have fresh shrimp by the pound, WITH the head still on it and was a fair price. This is where I go to get shrimp and meat as often as I can. They had every condiment I grew up with as well so I stocked up on everything. ALL the things I loved growing up was here and I think that is why I loved it so much. Produce here is also fresh and a great price, you will find things you cannot at other markets. I come here once a week and get everything I need and more without feeling like is spent way more money than I should have. If you are 100% Asian and miss all the things you had growing this place will for sure make you feel like home! The store is well organized and they have a good selection of different Asian products, most of it you can't find in regular grocery stores. The prices are more than what I was used to paying in California but I expected it. The vegetables were fresh and well-stocked. The seafood section however left me with some doubts. Unfortunately, the fish have to be shipped frozen so you won't be getting the best quality fish. Don't forget to check the freezer section for some imported foods that you won't find anywhere else. If you need a store that will stock the ingredients you need to create that Asian meal, then this is the place for you. read more

Very clean, spacious and well stocked Asian grocery out on 31st Very helpful and pleasant owner/manager eager to help you find whatever you might need. Prices are ( like every other grocery store here in Tulsa about 30% MORE than California ) but I am happy and surprised to find this good Asian market. They had everything I need, and more for asian cooking with decent quality meats and seafood. The vegetables here are even a bit cheaper and much better quality than most grocery stores. Still one has to be open to exotic off brands frequently written in Chinese or Thai and be aware that these countries might not have the food safety controls as the US. They even have a small restaurant with sit down tables and chairs. Havent checked out any other local Asian Markets but this one suites me just fine. read more

Large, clean Asian supermarket. I'd have to say I'm a fan. I am not terribly knowledgeable about many items they sell but found pricing comparable to what I pay for similar products in Joplin, MO (which I think is good for the larger city of Tulsa). I was able to try a lot of new products and stock up on some favorites, and didn't spend a ton. The cashier was very personable and welcoming. Next time I'm in Tulsa, I'll bring a cooler along and stock up! Their deli looks pretty good too. read more

This is one of two main Oriental markets in Tulsa, the other one being Nam Hai. Although Asian Mart has a much smaller selection than Nam Hai, it is far cleaner, nicer, and much more "Westerner" friendly. I haven't really eaten any of their fresh foods, but they do have a pretty decent selection of prepacked Asian goods. Every time I go here, I've never felt like I was "intimidated" or being given the stink eye like when I go to Nam Hai. Unless you are of Asian descent, my recommendation is to try Asian Mart if you're looking for something Oriental, and only then should you go down the road to Nam Hai. read more

Otherwise, the food in the deli section, fresh meat and seafood and the produce is always fresh! Price isn't that big of a difference. This is the cleanest foreign market in Tulsa. They focus on Asian foods and they smell much less than their competition. Normally the smell from these markets will knock your socks off. There have lots of weird items and a deli that cooks up fresh food. But you need cash to buy food from the deli. I recommend trying a bubble tea if you stop by. read more

the employes don't know what they are doing or even care about the customers. we called and asked if they had a product and they say yes i described it to her 3 times and told them i dint want to drive that far its 30 min drive if they didnt have it she said yes they did so i drove up there and asked where it was they said they dont have that i said they told me on the phone you had it. they took 30 min to just act like they were looking for it be for they said nope dont carry it. worst customer service ever read more

Like Nam Hai, but without the stench from the buttfish celebrating its third birthday on ice or the angry old mama-san throwing your change at you. The selection isn't quite as broad, but they have everything we regularly use. The staff are polite and helpful. The prices are incredibly reasonable. read more

Market is much smaller than Nam Hai just up the street, but it has more Chinese products as opposed to Vietnamese/Varied International products. It had the vegetables and hot pot items needed for a traditional hot pot. The meat section was also smaller, but the product looked fresher, cleaner, and better prepared.
