I had purchased a complete heating system including indirect water heater from Boucher Energy…read more They tried to sell me an annual service contract but it was too expensive. One day I noticed my water tank had a slow leak. I contacted Boucher Energy since the tank had a lifetime warranty. They were very rude over the phone commenting on how I did not have an annual service contract and had not purchased anything from them in years. They scheduled a technician to come out 2 weeks later and look at the leak. The day of the appointment it was snowing. There was only an inch of snow on the ground. Boucher called me to cancel my appointment due to the weather. Who doesn't work when there is only 1 inch of snow on the ground? At that point, the leak had gotten worse and I had to put several towels down daily to absorb the leaking water. I was told by Tina that the service manager would come out the following week to personally inspect the water tank. The day he was scheduled to arrive, he never showed up or called. The following day he calls me and says I can just send him pictures of the leak. What a joke. It's now 3 weeks since I first called them and the leak keeps getting worse. Now they tell me that all they needed are pictures of the leak. I send them the pictures and they order the replacement tank. When the tank comes in, they call me to schedule installation. A few days before they are scheduled to come out and replace the tank, the leak is so bad that I have to put 5 towels down every 3 hours to absorb the water. I email the service manager Monday morning to see if they can come out right away so the tank doesn't burst and flood my finished basement. Below is his email reply. Good Morning, Unfortunately, I do not have any availability until Friday, the date of the installation. Thank you Stephen Cammuso Service Manager Boucher Energy Systems88 Millville St. Mendon, MA 01756 Office (508)473-6648 Fax (508)634-3509 The technicians that finally came out on Friday and replaced my tank said that the corrosion was so severe and that they are surprised that the tank didn't let go and flood my basement. I would never ever use Boucher Energy again. They are the worst company I have ever had to deal with. Rude, greedy and unprofessional.

Service call is billed at $165 if over 15 miles, so no excuse for extreme parts markup.

Kenny Brooks, a senior technician, was sent to my home to install it. This was an all day job since he had to take the old system apart, drain refrigerant, put in new refrigerant, and install the new part. He was marvelous. We used Green Energy Mechanical to change our house from oil heat to electric heat pumps. We…read morealready had forced air, but they replaced all of the ducts on the first floor and extended them to the third floor. The owner Jonathan was the first person who came to our house. He and his colleague carefully took measurements and temperature readings throughout the house and then showed us their proposal. The whole consultation took a couple hours and was at no cost to us. Green Energy was the fifth and final quote that we got from HVAC companies and it was the one we chose to go with. They seemed to be up to date on modern technologies and talked about going to conferences and learning about new techniques. The plan for the HVAC renovation was elaborate and EXPENSIVE. I don't necessarily think that it was too expensive for what we got. In fact, I genuinely think we got a deal! They gave us less expensive options but we chose to go with the most expensive one. That was our choice. Three guys came to our house 4-5 days a week for about 2-3 weeks. The main guy was named Endrit who was clearly an experienced professional. We loved the ethnic and racial diversity of the crews. They were all sooooo nice and friendly. I felt very comfortable with them. They were also very clean, always putting down tarps on the floor. The only issue was with the electricity. They failed to identify that we didn't have enough electricity coming into the house from the street to support two heat pumps. They were kind of embarrassed but we understand that Jonathan isn't an electrician and didn't know. So, upgrading our electrical box was an unexpected expense that we HAD to do midway through this job. They set it up so that we could have AC in the summer, but we had to upgrade our electrical before using the heat. Communicating with the company went pretty smoothly. We could email office people or text managers and installers. They were pretty responsive. In fact, we came away with the thought that Green Energy is our favorite major contractor that we've ever worked with! I know that we were annoying at times but they never ever let on that they were bothered. They patiently answered our questions again and again! Green Energy did a final check of the HVAC system in the summer (with AC) and in the fall (with heat) to make sure that everything worked properly. They submitted our rebates for us to the state and it was SOOO nice to get a little money back. In the long term, we are eager to continue working with Green Energy. As part of this HVAC renovation, we have a warranty with them. We need to have them come and check on things every year which gives me peace of mind that the people who know our system best will be the folks maintaining it.

New HVAC system: Quote to Installation - seamless & smooth…read more We recently decided it was time to replace our HVAC system which was installed in October of 1996. This 26 year old system was also installed by All Temp Systems and so we opted to stick with them for our new system too. They're a local business and have always been quick to respond when an emergent need arose. I requested a quotation via their web site and received a response from the owner the same day that he would prepare a quote. A day later the quote arrived for the new system and we were pleased as it was a few thousand dollars less that we were anticipating. We also compared it to two of our neighbors who had similar systems installed by them in 2018 and 2020 and found the price difference to only be about $200.00 more. (We were pleasantly surprised to see that they were holding their prices steady and offering fair and competitive pricing in a time when everything else seems to be increasing by leaps and bounds.) We took advantage of the Mass Save heat loan program and obtained a zero % heat loan to cover the cost of the furnace which also qualified for a rebate too and scheduled the installation of the system. The 2 technicians arrived on time as scheduled and were very friendly, polite and worked diligently on disassembling and removing the old system and getting the new system installed. In quick order, the system was ready for the gas fitter to hook up the furnace and the electrician to make the electrical connections and install the new thermostat. Within 6 hours, the new system was tested, up and running and all of the work space in the basement and outdoors was cleaned up and all of the old system components taken away. From quotation to installation, the whole process was very easy. Everyone I interacted with (Mr. Zagame, the owner, and the installation technicians) at All Temp Mechanical Systems, Inc. have been very easy to work with and answered any and all questions/concerns I had. I also have to commend All Temp Systems on keeping their prices reasonable given that it seems there's a fair amount of price gouging going on everywhere. Like any business, they're entitled to turn a profit...but it's nice doing business with someone who's giving their customers a good value for the money with fair pricing. I will continue to use All Temp Systems for my future HVAC needs and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a HVAC company. Great company, great People and fair pricing. S.
