The unfriendliest grocery store I've ever been to. Not just one person. But all of them. And it's dirty. I'm not sure why I keep going back

I do a lot of shopping at my local Smiths, and I really appreciate it for what it is: close by and…read moreconvenient, I know where everything is, good markdowns, etc. But it's old, and kind of dingy, and I just associate Smiths as being on the lower end of grocery stores. So when I go to a Smith's Marketplace it's always a bit of a surprise. They are so big and much newer than mine. This one, especially, seems gigantic, with a decent outdoor section, electronics, etc. They have a lovely flower section, and cheese counter, too! Customer service is great, and check out was quick. I don't live in the neighborhood, but if I did I'd certainly consider this as one of the top contenders for my weekly grocery shopping.

I did my weekly shopping at this Smiths Marketplace this week like I have done regularly and which…read morecost me a total of $237.00. After using the self check out, which I always do, I accidentally left a couple of bags on the rotating bag holder when I left. My Son went back to retrieve the bags within an hour and was told they had already put the items back on the shelf. They said he could go back through the store for the items however he wasn't with me while shopping so I had to go back the next day with my receipt in hand to get the items. At the customer service counter I was first told they would honor the receipt and I could pick up the items. After going back through the store again picking up the items I went back to the counter to have them process the transaction. The customer service representative then said they could not honor the purchase without first having their Loss Control review footage to ensure what I was telling them was true because Smiths employees the night before had not documented per their internal procedures that they returned my items to the shelves. Okay so now she doesn't believe my items were left at the store. So bam, now I'm being treated as if I am being dishonest and am being investigated by Loss Control agents. Once they do review the footage they will clearly see what I told them is in fact true. It is outright pathetic that SMITHS MARKETPLACE treats their customers like criminals. It is now noon the day after the harrowing experience and I still have not been contacted by Smiths, still do not have my grocery items and am left waiting for them to complete their internal investigation. What a joke...never, ever will I shop at any Smiths Marketplace again!

Obviously from my rating u know how much I love this place. They have flash frozen tuna and hamachi. They have everything u need! I would have taken a photo of all the different poke I've made, but I would rather enjoy the moment than share something no one cares about. Stop taking pictures of your food!!! They have everything, even banana leaves. Crazy. Love this place. Oh and their hot food is great too.

I still go to other markets for certain items (like my favorite kimchi brand that H Mart doesn't sell) but I come here for everything else. It's insanely clean and bright and smells good inside, for those who care about such things. Their produce is fresh and well-stocked (though sometimes random things are very picked over like green onions). They have tons of variety in brands so I can find exactly which Korean/Thai/Chinese variety I've gotten used to. Very well stocked in the pantry aisle and a nice selection of kitchenware and household items, beauty products, gifts. The deli section is well stocked with ready-made kimbap and banchan. Big freezer and seafood section too. There is only a boba and K-beauty shop in the leased storefronts in the front of the market but hoping they attract some restaurants into the area soon like Chinatown. We need some good Asian food down south!

Love me some WinCo Foods…read more I was just in to take a peek. I shopped at the one in Henderson Nevada and if you shopped there you know whats up. If you're not familiar with WinCo well let me tell you it's big like WM but prices like WM used to have with way more options for food, a section dedicated to the foods for special diets, keto, non gmo, organic etc... then there's to meat department and offers delicious cooked items like fried chicken, strips, thick jojo potatoes, roast chicken, etc... the team was very sweet and helpful. The bakery is huge offering a large variety of baked items and popcorn/snacks. I have nothing but positive experiences so a 5 it is... Support your local employee owned businesses!

I've been eagerly awaiting the opening of this new Winco while watching it being built for the past…read morefew months. I waited a few days while the crowds dissipated a bit, and went to check it out. The first thing I noticed was the shopping carts. Yeah, they're new, so of course they won't have wonky wheels or sticky handles. But they are plastic, not metal, which makes them lighter weight and easier to push (in my humble, non-grocery cart connoisseur opinion). As I was entering the store, I noticed that traffic is guided in a very specific direction. You have to follow the crowd down the first aisle. No biggie, except when the slow lady in front of everyone is taking up a lot of space, blocking the way for the people behind her. Once I got past her, I was able to roam freely up and down the aisles as I desired. They were good sized-in fact, rather long. When you commit to one, plan to be there awhile. The layout is ok. Although I was on the hunt for cheese and assumed that I'd find it in the "dairy" section, which was clearly labeled and I saw it from the other end of the store. But when I got over there, I learned that the cheese was a few aisles away. No biggie, I found it. Checkout was friendly-my cashier was nice, but confused when I handed her my reusable bags. She placed them on the conveyor belt and looked at me weird. Oops-you're supposed to bag your own groceries. I'm totally down for this, just didn't realize that's how it works. They don't take credit cards, only cash, check (what's a check) and debit cards. This alone might be the reason I won't convert from my current store to this one. Sure, the prices are good-but not being able to use my credit card is a bummer. Overall, if you're a bargain shopper-this is a great place for you. Especially since the other nearby grocery stores are pretty expensive. I'll probably pop back in here and there when there are sales that I can't pass up.
