Ask for Kate Herbold! Our paperwork is not greatest and she helped us signed the lease for our new home in four days!! We saw two places and we got turned down by the first landlord because we were not he was looking for (like I said, our paperwork is not great) and Kate found another place within a few hours and made an appointment with me to see the place the same day. I saw the place and decided to apply. She let me know in 3 hours that we can meet with the landlord the next day and possibly sign the lease if everything goes well. We met the landlord the next day and signed the lease!! Ever since Kate showed me the first apartment, the experience with realty 2000 had been great. She was very responsive, super friendly, understanding and really took her time to show me the apartment, amenities and neighborhood. Thanks Kate! read more

Classic, "I promise you it'll be fixed by Monday" and look you in the eye. Thanks Tony, for the lie. My own naive mistake to believe a realtor's promise. No response when I texted him a week later. I had already signed and paid at that point. I'm still happy with what I ended up with, but I'll never go back to using this place. Edit: isn't it interesting that this place has only 1-2 star and 5-star ratings? No 4's, or 3's? Hmm...! (Personally, I'd ignore any reviewer with less than 10 reviews in their history) read more

This place is GREAT! They all (Tony, George and Chris) are very informative and professional about what they do. They drove us around for hours showing us different apartments in beautiful areas of Astoria! They didn't stop until we were satisfied and had found one that fit our price range and criteria! I highly recommended this office if you're looking for a spot in Astoria! They are fantastic! Tony still acts as my tour guide of Astoria! Tony, Tony, Tony! : ) read more

I had the pleasure to work with Tony in search of a new apt for me in Astoria. He respects his relationship with other brokers and carefully listens to your needs. He even talked the landlord to lower the rent so that the apartment better fits my budget even though that would lower the amount of money HE would earn. Unfortunately a family financial situation kind took a turn for me and had to re-consider moving out but none the less I am sure that the apartment he showed me would of been great. Also he responds to texts in 2 seconds...very easy to communicate with lol. read more

So my partner and I called Tony at Realty 2000 after spending the better part of a week looking around Astoria for an apartment. We had spend a few days with a realtor that felt more like an on the job training session than going to a professional realtor. So enter Tony from Really 2000 ..he listened to what we needed in an apartment and showed us a few places before we found the perfect place. He is extremely professional ...he drove us all around Astoria showing us where the stores were, where all the great restaurants are..giving us a great tour of Astoria. Tony knows how to talk to his customers and walk them step by step though the process which can be stressful. I will definitely tell anyone looking to buy or rent to give Tony a call read more

Realty 2k was incredibly helpful in finding an apartment. I was looking for an apartment for over 2 weeks before I met Harry from Realty 2000. Harry was amazing! He had 5-6 apartments ready to view the same day I called him. He kindly let us know ahead of time and would text reminders about appointments that had been setup. He was very friendly and went above and beyond to make sure that I was able to secure my apartment no matter the obstacles. Overall, I have to thank Harry and Realty 2000 for the gorgeous apartment that I'm living in now. I can honestly say, after dealing with over 10 realtors, that Harry was the best by far!!! I would 110% recommend Realty 2K!! read more

My husband and I were very hopefully at first, reading these great reviews on George S. He responded and was honest about the apartment we were interested in, that it's not a good fit for us. He called us to tell us about another apartment that would fit us better and a week passed and he didnt respond to any of our texts or phone calls about the apartment. Never heard from him ever again. If I could rate no stars I would. read more

Realty 2000 is a great firm and was really helpful. They got me everything I needed to secure my first apartment and were flexible with timing for appointments. I saw my apartment on a Friday night and signed the lease by Wednesday of the following week. Tony is very nice and helpful throughout the entire process and they walk you through everything. I would recommend Realty 2000 and use them again in the future. read more

I didn't end up finding my apartment with this company but the help that George gave us is worth noting: he gave us a tour of the neighborhood and drove us to a couple of two apartments in his car. Not to mention the Broker Fee by this agency is lower than most. read more

When I listed my two businesses with this agency, I was really impressed with the professionalism of the owner/agent! Then I was informed that individuals could not find the listing! I also spent considerable time looking for the listing and finally found it with another agency! When I contacted the owner of the agency and asked him how come my businesses were not listed on the commercial business listing as promised, he became very agitated and told me he was cancelling my listing! I told him that it was not necessary to cancel, but he insisted! I would caution anyone wishing to do business with this company, to make sure they are marketing your business or home, as promised! Many agents want to list your property, but do not want to promote it! read more

I ultimately didn't rent from R2k but they were absolutely wonderful to deal with. George communicated clearly and quickly, was super friendly, and approved my application quickly. They also didn't charge me a hefty application fee, as some companies have been known to do. Thank you George - if I ever need another apartment you'll be my first call! read more

We worked with Harry to find our apartment through Realty 2000. We'd had a bad experience with another realtor, so when Harry told me he had exactly what I was looking for, I was a little skeptical, but he was totally right! He helped us find the perfect apartment for our needs and less than a week later, we had signed the lease and moved in. He was very honest with us and communicated well, and even helped us lower the broker fee to better fit our budget. It really was a wonderful experience and I would give 5 stars except that his honesty was a little insensitive to my roommate about her credit score which caused a minor freak out. Other than that, a really great experience read more

George gave me a great apartment. If you look for a nice apartment in Astoria, this is the place. I will definitely ask him again first if i need to move out my place. They have nice one, so they are not aggressive at all...if they don't give us a good apartments, it would be no good one in the market. As long as trying to stop by them for 2 weeks (3 weeks would be enough!), we can have nice apartment in Astoria, I think. read more

Horrible service George was completely unprofessional, no communication would not recommend at all. If your looking to find a good apartment with a well informed professional this is not the place to do it. read more

Words can't express the professionalism and courtesy we experienced with Chris. From the start, he was forthright, honest, and always willing to help from start to end. He is a true gentleman and honest businessman. My girlfriend and I were very apprehensive using a broker and prior to meeting Chris and seeing several listing with other brokers, we were convinced that all brokers met the negative stereotype. We were ready to give up looking for a place in Astoria, but we were so happy to have met him and we weren't bothered to pay a broker's fee. I truly believe he went above and beyond even though he didn't have to. After doing business with Chris and reading the other positive review, I can't believe someone would give him a negative review. In my opinion, everyone has limits. If you continuously waste someone's time with insensible demands, I'm sure even the most patient person would buckle at some point. I highly recommend Chris at Realty 2000 for anyone deciding to live in Astoria. A+++++ read more

I used to work in real estate, so I know how frustrating searches can be. When I decided to move in with a friend of mine, I was not looking forward to the process. Tony responded to my inquiry and showed us the listing we were interested in less than 2 hours later. He made the application process so easy, and we signed the lease less than a week later. Both of us would definitely go back to him for future moves! read more

I have worked with Chris at Realty 2000 not once, but two times while finding apartments in Astoria. If I have the chance, I will most definitely work with him a third time. My first experience was looking for an apartment with a long time friend. We first tried our luck with craigslist and other shady websites but decided a broker seemed like the best option. At the time, my friend was still living in another city and I was extremely busy with work. Chris was willing to work around my schedule to show me wonderful apartments in the area. My roommate and I had a strict budget and everything we were shown was within limits. After seeing about two places, we fell in love with the third. It was a gorgeous apt, very clean, nice landlord and an ideal location right by the train and 30th ave. It was comforting to be walking down the street with Chris and him knowing so many people, he has obviously been in the are for a long time so it showed me he was trustworthy and knowledgeable. A year later, my boyfriend and I were looking for our own apt. There was no question whether or not I would go back to Chris again. The second time around was even better. He knew what type of apt i was looking for and really incorporated both my boyfriends needs and my needs into finding the perfect place. Again, he really worked around our schedules and prepared us well for interviews we had with management companies. It took a few tries but Chris guided us to an apt that we both love and can live in for years to come. Chris was adamant on us finding the perfect place and he truly pulled through. I highly recommend Chris to anyone in the area. read more

Chris was very helpful in helping my girlfriend and I find an apartment. The whole process went very smoothly and we found a great apartment fast. He was always available to answer any questions that I had and was punctual for all our appointments. I would certainly use him again in the future. read more

My experience with Realty 2000 was fantastic! After searching high and low and viewing all kinds of places (good and bad) in Sunnyside and Woodside, I found an ad posted by Tony (real estate agent) and was able to view the place immediately. I knew right away that this place was perfect for me. Tony was very professional, communicative and straightforward-- on time and quickly in touch throughout the process, he even worked around my schedule to allow me to come back out to Queens to put money down that night so I could have "first dibs." I got a great deal on a fantastic apartment, the fee was reasonable (discounted rate), and I didn't feel like I was getting the "run-around" -- certainly didn't feel pressured to decide anything right away. Everything was as stress-free and clear as could be! They were very accommodating both in meeting times and negotiations about move-in dates, etc. These guys know what to look for in a good place, make good matches with tenants, and will do their best to make sure that you're completely satisfied. The whole process was flawless. Complete with a folder for my paperwork. :) I am so thrilled about my beautiful new home! I would totally work with them again... but my place is so great I probably won't need to for a long time! read more

Found Realty 2000 through a Craigslist add. They were extremely nice and professional, something not seen normally in the realty industry (having dealt with 3 other places during my apartment hunt I can say that with certainty). Very helpful and always there if we needed anything. Would (and have actually) highly recommend. read more

Chris helped me find my new apartment! Not sure what all the other bad reviews are about - I think he's great! He even negotiated the rent down a bit on my behalf. I mean, what more could you want?! He's such a sweetheart and kept me posted on all developments in the process (from submitting my application to conversations he had with the landlord). I highly recommend this agency and Chris specifically. So happy! read more

I was moving cross-country from CA to NYC, and had a great experience working with Harry. It took a little while to find a place because my situation was somewhat complicated, but Harry was patient and communicative, and helped me find a place I'm really happy with! He was super in touch via text and was clearly committed to helping me find an apartment, even if it took 2 rounds of looking 2 weeks apart. The whole staff at Realty 2000 was friendly and easy to work with. I definitely recommend them! read more

Realty 2000 is a great place because they love their borough and really want people to be happy here. I found my apartment because George has a very knowledgable, intuitive sense of how people would fit well into Queens...the right neighborhoods and right units for specific tastes. Most realtors aren't that observant about who their customer is. I'm thankful for having found them, and I'll use them when I move again because I definitely want to stay in Queens. read more

Harry was my agent - and he was very great and wonderful to work with. He was quick to respond and made the process of finding an apartment easy. Although I only saw one apartment with him, he treated me as though we had been working together for months. He was upfront and honest and answered all of my questions like a pro. I highly recommend working with him specifically - definitely not your typical "in your face" high pressure agent - which was very much appreciated. read more

Tony was an absolute joy to work with - restored my faith in the real estate business. Found a place in record time and helped make the process as smooth as possible. Astounding communication and honesty - I recommend to all. Thank you so very much for everything :). read more

I signed up for Yelp just so I could share what a great experience I had working with Tony. Apartment hunting in NYC is so stressful and he immediately put me at ease with his friendly and honest demeanor. Even if I hadn't found my place through him, I'd have written a review because he was such a breath of fresh air, making me laugh and calming my nerves! But he did help me to find the perfect place, and his professionalism, kindness, and efficiency made the whole process stress-free. I felt like he wasn't just trying to rent the place but really invested in making sure it was the right apartment for me as well as ensuring I would be the right tenant for the landlord he represented. He went above and beyond any realtor/broker I've ever worked with to make sure everyone's needs were being met. While driving me through the neighborhood, he took care to share lots of little tidbits about the neighborhood and check in with me about how I was feeling about the neighborhood and the apartment once my application was approved. I went back to the Realty 2000 office twice, to submit my application and then again to sign my lease. Both times I understood immediately why I felt so taken care of with Tony -- the culture of the office reflects the culture of Astoria, a true community full of a bunch of really nice people who enjoy being around each other and are happy to help with whatever you need. I absolutely recommend this agency and Tony in particular, though my sense from spending time in the office is that Realty 2000 hires and develops great people so you probably can't go wrong with any of the brokers. I'm so happy in my new place and Astoria - I have a feeling I'll be looking to buy in a few years and I'll definitely be giving Tony a call when I'm ready. read more

This place does not do background checks on landlords. They will pretend like they know the landlord and try to convince you that they are good. They aren't I lost $3,000 in security because Tony does not feel like it's his responsibility to do background checks. Then I lost $1,800 to spend money on a guy that will make you trust him and then will fight with you if you try to call him out on being wrong. He will not help you get the security back that you lost because you trusted your broker. I would avoid this group and Tony if you are searching for a place. He will sell you on a bad landlord then leave you when the landlord is horrible. Will not refund the money you spent on a place based on his trust that he harvested for you and will fight you on it. Also, will never claim any ounce of responsibility. Avoid using this company at all costs, I know there are good reviews as he likes to boast about himself. But if you use him require that he does a background check on the landlord you are going with first, so you don't lose your money either read more

I saw an apartment from one of the listing apps and I contacted the agent right away, his name is Harry Orphanides from realty 2000. he urged me to make an appointment and see the place as early as possible. He knows the system very well and will tell you without hesitation the things that you should be aware of as a customer. We saw the place and harry gave me a tour around the area. Unfortunately, the landlord chose another tenant to have the place. I thought that was it, that I need to keep looking and continue what i've been doing by checking listing apps and contact the agent of the place that I liked. But, Harry kept in touch and kept looking for an apartment that is within my budget. He surpassed my expectation. Harry found a new listed apartment and the first thing he did was to contact me. The place was really nice that he could have had contacted his close friends and family to have the apartment. But no, he called me first and he made sure that I will get the apartment. He is very loyal to his customers and gives his honest opinion. He was there to advise me every step of the way. I put my trust to harry and it paid off. I highly recommend him. read more
