SCAM ALERT! SCAM ALERT!
Came in to help me look for an apartment. Saw an apartment, liked it, paid for the application which I thought I was being ripped off! I've never met a broker who charges an application fee for each tenant along with cosigners!!! The total amount for application came out to be $300!!! I kindly asked Peter for a receipt for my application fee. He told me rudely that he can't because his copier machine doesn't work. SCAM ALERT! After I paid for my application fee, I tried following up with Peter and he wouldn't answer my phone!! What kind of broker doesn't follow up with their own clients. It just shows the lack of service and professionalism in this business. So in the end, we didn't get the apartment because we were students and lost $300. Don't be fooled by this place, Peter will try to lure you to pay the application fee, add hidden fees without letting you know (typical bait and switch tactic), and make you false guarantees of apartment approval. IF YOU WANT TO THROW AWAY HUNDRED DOLLAR BILLS OUT THE WINDOW, PLEASE COME HERE. I've never met a broker or landlord that charges $300 just for an application fee.
I called Peter and asked him in a stern voice why he didn't follow up with me. He later on the phone threatened to tell all the brokers of NY not to work with me. Oh, don't worry Peter. As a matter of fact, I will tell everyone I know in Manhattan to avoid your business. Take that!
I wrote a bad review for Peter in my old Yelp account (which Peter deleted lol) and one person actually messaged me in trying to sue Peter for his unfair business tactics and to have me testify for this.
I won't give you a word of advice because I pray your business will fail.
Save yourself and find another broker who is professional and want to help. I luckily found another broker (not Peter) in Manhattan who found a really good rent price apartment in addition to first month of free rent. Wow. He followed up with me every step of the way. Talk about a real professional!!
Edit to Peter's comment: If my application was so weak, why did my other broker run a credit check on me and said my co-signer's income was enough? Do you usually talk to your customers like that? Accuse them of all being LIARS? Fyi, that broker did not charge my co-signer an application fee AND on top of that, he found me a lovely apartment in the heart of Manhattan. You and your scam company only charges those unreasonable additional fees just to take your client's money and run away with it. OF COURSE IT HAPPENED TO A LOT OF PEOPLE, BECAUSE YOU SCAMMED THEM! I've noticed you called other Yelpers who didn't give you a good rating all liars. Ha!! Funny coincidence. Also, someone asked me to write a good review on their site which is why I created my Yelp account AND I happened to think about your business along the way which is why I'm writing this. For your information, it wasn't 4 years ago, it was 2014. Get your facts straight and learn to spell. Why don't you refund my money for not following up with me when I called you multiple times, charge me additional fees that no broker nor landlord has ever charged me with, and wasting my time with you? Sorry, but I don't forgive and forget to scammers. The least you could do is apologize for not following up with me, threaten to notify other brokers not to work with me, and give me back my refund, but you don't have the guts to apologize. You just go off with your nasty mouth and tell people they are all liars.
Edit to Peter's comment again: Where's my apology for not following up with me when I called you numerous times and left a dozen voicemails on your phone? Ana told me that she will hear some answers the next day after we saw the apartment. We didn't hear from her until the end of the week and she made us a false promise that we were the only ones applying for this apartment and guaranteed to us that she wouldn't give this apartment to someone else. In turn to her comments, we didn't look around for other apartments, confident that we trust her opinion. Where's my apology that when I called you (your clients has to make the effort to call you lol) you threatened to tell all the brokers of NY NOT TO WORK WITH ME? Where's my apology when I kindly asked you for a receipt and you gave me an attitude that you can't give me my receipt. You're not sorry, you didn't even read my comment and try to avoid the situation because you afraid of the truth. As a matter of fact, I think you are glad it happened, otherwise, you wouldn't have made any scam profits LOL
