Nicolay came out the same day I completed a yelp request for a quote. My dryer went out. At the time I called him, I didn't realize it was still under warranty. Nickolay let me know it needed a new circuit board. We paid him for the diagnosis and decided to proceed with a warranty repair. LG came out 3 separate times to repair the dryer. The LG tech kept insisting it was our dryer vent that was clogged leading to the overheating. We had the dryer vent cleaned even though it didn't need it yet. Then the LG tech insisted it was the "crushed" dryer vent hose (it was barely bent). After all these visits and the dryer dying again (4 times total), the LG tech finally came to the conclusion it needed a new circuit board. The same diagnosis Nickolay came to within an hour. Have you ever contacted a repair service and was given a window of 4-6 PM and ends up showing up closer to 6 PM? Well, this isn't one of those. Contacted Nick (Nikolay) yesterday because my washing machine was giving some noises in spin cycle. Nick texted and showed up at 4 PM promptly. Before he gets started, he explained what to expect and worst case scenario with possibly getting a new machine rather than replacing. I agreed and Nick went to work. After about 20 min, Nick explained what was causing the problem and that I shouldn't worry about it as the bearing will last ... the noise will just be a slight inconvenience and not worth trying to fix it. The machine will run just fine for years to come. While he was there, my wife asked if he would be able to clean the dryer vent as it has never been cleaned before for last 5+ years. After he opened up the dryer to clean, he noticed that one of the part is not working and would eventually cause the belt to break and the dryer to malfunction. Since the dryer was already opened up, he showed me the part that was not working (can't remember what the part is called). He explained why it was not working and what can happen if that is not replaced soon. He gave me a good price and I agreed to have it replaced. Overall, I am very happy with the service. Nikolay came to repair our dryer due to the heating element being burnt out. I called him around 9 a.m. and he arrived within 20 minutes of the phone call ending. I was expecting some service fee to just examine the issue but he just gave me an estimate before he started working. My front loading whirlpool washer had an F20 error while I was running a cycle. I panicked, and after googling the code, decided to call Niko. He answered my call and after I explained what was happening, he gave me instructions to try to self-fix/troubleshoot the issue if I wanted to see if it could be resolved without me needing to pay for service. I did the checks he said, and all seemed fine. So I ran another cycle on the washer and this time all was working fine. I got through the whole cycle without any errors this time thankfully...but now if I have future issues I definitely know who to call. I appreciated that Niko was super responsive and helpful. Our washer just stopped running a rinse cycle and after a lot of research I decided to give Niko a call and he was able to come within 48 hours and do a diagnostic on my (old, used) washing machine. He was very kind, very professional, and spoke to me like a human being rather than a dollar sign which I really appreciated. My fridge recently stopped getting cold so it was due to a compressor. I called Niko and he came out the same day and quoted me $900 something for parts and labor. Told me that others would charge more like $1200. At that point I rather buy a new fridge and paid him $75. He told me he knew a brother who would haul my fridge away for free. . However before calling him I knew LG would do it for $450 flat rate plus tax. I ended up going with LG and I didn't have to pay anything for parts and labor since it was under warranty. I contacted Niko at 9:15 AM on a Sunday! He was supposed to have the day off to spend with his 2 month old son, which I was completely ok with. He called back within 30 min and said he can come out the same day. His expected arrival was between 11AM - 12 PM and came promptly at 11:15 AM. His services were quick and he explained every step of the way and more! He informed us of what triggered the issues with our igniter in the oven and had the correct parts and tools to fix it. The replacement igniter also had a protector so that it would last a lot longer. He was very efficient and quality of service was excellent. He got our oven up and running in less than 30 min! We don't normally wear shoes in the house but we understand boots/shoes are the normal with repairmen. We told him he could wear his shoes if he would like, but he took them off in respect to us and our home.
