On April 6, I noticed I was charged twice by the gym. I immediately contacted the gym and was told only a manager could help me. After waiting several days with no response, I contacted them again and was finally provided with a manager's email. The manager, Abigail, told me I needed to contact their billing company because they only showed one charge on their end. After speaking with the billing company, they discovered I had two active accounts with the gym, despite the fact that I had only signed up once. I requested the duplicate account be canceled and refunded, but the billing company told me the gym itself had to process the refund. I contacted the gym again and spoke with Abigail, who said she could not see the duplicate account and needed to contact the billing company herself. A week went by with no update until I reached out again. Abigail then stated she found the duplicate account, canceled it, and issued the refund. Two more weeks passed and I still had not received anything. Once again, I had to contact the gym myself for another update, and once again I was told Abigail needed to contact the billing company and would call me back. Another week passed with no communication. When I contacted the gym yet again, I then discovered that my actual active membership had somehow been canceled as well. At that point, I requested to speak with someone above Abigail because the situation had become extremely frustrating and unprofessional. No one at the gym would provide me with supervisor or ownership information. Instead, they gave me an email address for complaints -- the same email I had already used previously, which Abigail herself responded to. I was assured that if I submitted a complaint about Abigail, someone else would contact me, but that was not true. Abigail still ended up being the one who reached out. Eventually, the refund was finally issued and my annual fee was refunded as well. I appreciate that Abigail did ultimately work toward fixing the issue, but it should never take over a month to resolve a simple $40 duplicate charge. What disappointed me most was the lack of communication, accountability, and transparency from management. I loved the gym itself, the environment, and the workouts, but poor leadership and customer service can completely ruin an otherwise great experience. Unfortunately, that is exactly what happened here.

I've tried coming at all hours of the day/night literally. If you aren't there between midnight to 6am, you're waiting for equipment. Half the time it's people on their phones also. I mean I get between sets checking things, a text, whatever, but I will go do 3 sets on 3 different machines, come back, and the same person is on the same machine on their phone still. If you come at like 10pm, for some reason there just like 18 year olds walking around fully dressed like their hanging out somewhere not a gym. They stand around and talk in the way. I dind't know the gym was the popular poser hang out spot. For some reaason lately, the last few months, machines are breaking and not getting fixed. The chest fly is dowen right now, the leg press, like 5 treadmills, and thats just what I know. A couple of those are down for like 2 months now. Honestly im waiting for my membership to expire to change gyms at this point. Its just so crowded its insane. Takes you 2 hours to get a work out in that should take you half the time because youre waiting.

The classes are what really keep me coming back. I especially love cycling with Ramon, hot yoga sculpt with Travi, and hot Pilates with Cynthia. They are all amazing instructors and make the workouts both challenging and fun. I come from a very athletic background and did CrossFit for 10 years, so I appreciate a solid workout, and these classes definitely deliver. I also like having the option to use the machines on days I'm not taking a class. The only downside I would mention is that when new coaches or instructors come in, the experience can feel inconsistent compared to the seasoned instructors. I would recommend having some of the more experienced coaches help train the newer ones to keep the quality consistent. Overall, I highly recommend this gym. Worse, they leave the bars standing upright, which is a clear safety hazard. I brought this to an employee's attention, but he showed no concern--he simply turned around and walked off. Ironically, the same employee was later seen chatting for about 15 minutes with 4-5 friends who were taking up the only seating in the locker room. What really crossed the line was the vaping. Several people were vaping right in the locker room, and instead of addressing it, the employee was laughing and socializing with them like nothing was wrong. For a place meant to promote health, this behavior is completely unacceptable. Planet Fitness should strongly consider adding clear signage reminding no vaping, members not to leave bars upright and not to work out in front of the dumbbell racks--for everyone's safety and convenience.
