Our league is rather small and informal, and our team would be the only ones with proper bowling shirts. Even still I wanted ours to be awesome. Michael is a 1st class professional. He always promptly returned my calls. Even though I'm sure this job was just a side project for him, he made me feel like I was his number 1 priority. He designed a few different graphics, and listened to my input. Then came up with a final image that I loved. When I submitted the graphic to the shirt company, they told me it was one of the best they had ever seen. Only about half of our team ordered shirts, but when the finished product arrived people were so impressed that we placed 2 more orders. The entire league was wishing they had shirts as cool as ours. There is a lot that goes into graphic design, more than just artistic talent and an ability to draw. Michael is a virtuoso in every aspect. Were I a muscian there is no one else I would want in my corner. This man can create on another level. Audio, visual, you name it. But he is grounded in reality, no big egos to get past. I was originally quite pleased with my initial conversations with Peter .... I explained I was not…read moretech savvy, had difficulty understanding web design and wanted an "dynamic" yet easy to use e-commerce site. I also told him the history of being screwed in the past by 2 developers and was assured I would be treated with "kid gloves" when in fact it felt more like boxing gloves. I asked for a simple drag and drop e-commerce site. What I ended up with was an expensive ($14,000!?!), Prestashop e-commerce website that I am now terrified of adding to - there is no way to archive/save old versions and therefore if a mistake is made you have to pay Flying Cow to fix it. I was using Wordpress and WooCommerce which were easy drag/drop systems but was having difficulty setting it so I could do fabric yards, etc. I kept referring Laura to sites like Etsy, Amazon, etc as an example of the simple drop and drag system. WARNING!! Prestashop is extremely complex and difficult, not suitable for people who are not tech-savvy or a business just starting off. I had hoped to hire someone to manage the site, load products, etc. but found that few people who understand Prestashop. The project site was not kept current, communication was difficult, questions and concerns were ignored or had to be repeated and deadlines were constantly missed. I contracted for design within 6 months and it took over a year. While the site itself is beautiful, it is difficult to manage and frankly is completely worthless to me as I fear making any changes w/o a archive site to return to if I make a mistake. Also, adding products is enormously time consuming with Prestashop. I was promised "hands on" training which apparently to them means giving you a list of YouTube tutorials. They promised they would always be there for me if I had questions but forgot to mention there would be a charge for it. After explaining all my frustrations (missed deadlines, lack of clear direction from Laura, lack of current site project information, and a difficult, complex shop) I asked Peter to either issue a credit or redesign the site using Wordpress/WooCommerce. He refused but did offer to do so for an add'l $3,000?!? Sorry .... not another cent to Flying Cow! I am now spending another $3,000 for GoDaddy to recreate the site in Wordpress/WooCommerce. Were there any positives .... yes - the room design concept graphics were phenomenal. Too bad the rest of the site and my relationship with Flying Cow was not.

Unfortunately, I have had quite a negative experience with Cambria Corporation. I own a relatively…read moresmall/niche website mostly using HTML & PHP, and recently contracted them to make some updates to the site. Cambria uses developers in the US, and in the Philippines - my experience has been with the group located in the latter - since their rates are lower. However, while the rates may seem attractive, the quality of work and communication are poor, and you may end up spending a lot more, taking a lot longer, and being very frustrated and disappointed. In addition to this, they seem to have high turn over in their staff, and they will shamelessly charge you for getting new developer's up to speed, which is quite appalling. As if that is not enough, unbelievably, they also decided to go over the original estimate without any warning, and considered some of the work 'out of scope' relative to the original estimate, but never re-quoted the job, so this was a complete surprise unti I received the bill. In fairness, they did end up admitting their fault and only charged for what was originally estimated. In summary, do yourself a favor and stay well away from Cambria Corporation for your software development needs.

Over the years, we have made many changes and updates to our system. During that time, I have mostly worked with two long term employees / programmers throughout all those years with additional support from others as needed. They are very supportive and provide excellent support with a fast response time. They are also fair and reasonable if any issues in or outside of the scope of work do come up. I think issues are a pretty common fact over the course of custom programming work so it's all about the communication. They are good to work with. I also use Cambria for my web and IT needs as we are a small business and don't need full time support. They have a knowledgable staff and great response time. They can either be onsite quickly or handle issues over the phone or even over the internet. Very convenient! I know and trust Cambria with my computer programming and IT needs.
