My child attended Ready Preschool for 2 years, and I am very happy with her care. First and foremost, her teachers have all been rockstars! Shoutout to her very first teachers in the Green class, Ms. Priya and Ms. Anna, who were so engaging and nurturing, creating a foundation for my child to "want to go to school" and allowed her to seamlessly transition from a daycare to a more formal school setting. In the second year, Red class teachers Ms. Zhila and Ms. Ma, created a caring, interactive classroom with academic focus to prepare the kids for kindergarten. Kudos also to other class teachers and the kind and welcoming staff including Ms. Usha, Ms. Malu, Ms. Marian, and Ms. Van. The school uses an app that allows for easy communication with the teachers, and we are kept up to date on lunch menu, curriculum, and photos. The school is comprehensive in their social activities such as annual winter performance, holiday celebrations, parent teacher conferences, family events, etc. The kids also have regular music and kung fu classes. The school is bilingual English/Mandarin, with a daily Mandarin language learning component, so it is helpful to have some exposure to the language and culture so the kids can understand better, and the lunches are sometimes Chinese meals. Teachers are supportive and open to address any concerns at any time. Classrooms and playground are large, clean, and bright. My child has thrived, socially and academically, at Ready Preschool due to the support and care of a great team of loving and dedicated teachers. We've had our son at Ready preschool for the last 2.5 years and we highly recommend! He started when he turned 2 and was a bit apprehensive and now he's super comfortable and he's about to graduate from the program. He's been in 3 of the 4 classrooms and all his teachers have been wonderful. While he was in the orange room, Ms Miriam and Ms Van took great care of him. He was still in diapers and we partnered with the teachers there to get him potty trained. In the green room he had Ms Priya and Ms Anna and they had to be his favorite teachers there. Currently he's in the red room and his teachers are Ms Zhila and Ms Ma. He's learned so much in a short time, he's doing addition, teaching me about matter, and planting vegetables. His teachers are so kind, dedicated, and caring. One of the biggest perks is that the provide lunch and snacks. My son always finishes his lunch and we're told he asks for seconds. We receive the monthly lessons and weekly photos. There are also activities happening every month, in addition to music class and kung fu. They also still continue nap time even in the red room so your child gets some rest after lunch. The school provides a great balance of academic and social skills. The students are majority Chinese and there are daily Chinese lessons. I would highly recommend Ready preschool. Before our older child graduated, we already sent our younger one there to have the same experience. We know a few other parents who sent all their kids to Ready too. It's a fun and educational bilingual school where caring teachers, who are native speakers in either English or Mandarin, create a nurturing environment. We loved getting daily photos and videos - it was great to see how our kids were doing there! They offer fun extras too, like free Kung Fu classes. The learning is excellent. People is hard to please... Matter of fact, the school is NOT cheap in snacks & meals, those are fresh and very healthy to the kids. I don't know how many parents are able to prepare better meals than this school. And you're talking about lots of kids to start with. For the curriculum, it's amazing how kids can learn all those stuff. I toured Ready Preschool in Milpitas looking to enroll my 3 year old. Growing up in San Jose, I was excited to allow her to experience the multicultural environment I grew up in. The tour was disappointing, as an African American family, the moment we arrived for our tour, the woman showing us the facility seemed confused as to why we were there. She asked repeatedly if we had an appointment, which we did. She made it clear that the school was for Chinese students, saying exactly that before she caught herself and said it was 80 - 90% Chinese students. I understand there may have been a slight language barrier but as the tour continued, it was clear that my child may not get the same positive experience that the others who left positive reviews would. She did not walk us through any of the curriculum, simply pointing at the wall saying "there is the schedule" or "there is the menu". The other teachers looked at my daughter without smiling or engaging, even though my daughter was obviously interested in what they were doing. With my daughter's graduation coming up this July, I feel obligated to write this overdue review and express my great appreciation to the teachers at Ready who worked hard in the past 15 months to deliver both quality on-site and online classes. Before Covid hits, my daughter had attended school full time for a couple of months and had lots of fun from the variety of a activities (handcrafts, puppet show, festival parade etc.). The school app was super informative with teacher uploading the kids potty activities, lunch/snack menu and nap times every day. Such information, while trivial, did give me lots of assurance knowing my kid was doing well at school. I was also looking forward for the weekly pictures they uploaded, always capturing the cute moment. Then in 2020 during the pandemic , the school switched to a hybrid model and started offering online class back in March, with a very reasonable price (half of what the other private school charges but double the class time). I was worried at first and doubted if those toddlers would be able to sit and focus for online learnings. Facts check after two months, my kid was enjoying the class and actually looking forward to it. The teachers selected interesting topics (like insect, sea animal) and have kids pick the class theme song, and played fun videos to get kids engaged. There was also sharing time every Friday when kids can grab anything at home and present to the class. Fast forward, it's already 15 months and the high quality online class is still going on in conjunction with the on-site program. The school has been super careful in taking all necessary measures to protect the kid from covid. Given that, I decided to send my kid back to campus next month (hooray!) . Last but not the least, the contents reached at Ready is very similar to those top tier private schools. My kid was able to pass their K enrollment exam with the knowledge learned at ready. This school gets one star for offering an affordable tuition fee and another star for the bilingual program. Other than that, we had a terrible experience here. If you're looking for a school that cares about your child wellbeing, has a cohesive program that update parents on the child's progress, look elsewhere. This is not the place for you. The Site Director, Mary, doesn't seem to care about anything. We did not get any printed material during our visit. We were told to use our phone to take pictures of flyers because they don't have anything to print out. Mary will never remember who you are or who your child is. Good luck asking for any kind of documents because her immediate response would be "You're gonna have to wait in line. We don't have the system to auto-generate these documents, so I have to manually enter everything" It's fine if you have an antiquated system, but it's your responsibility to provide Account Statements, etc. when inquired. It's not my problem, so stop complaining to me. We've been here for almost 3 months and she still has not provided an account statement to me. I was disappointed to see the treats that this school allow kids to eat during holiday events - marshmallow, peeps, candies, etc. Aren't you supposed to promote healthy eating habits? I was so disgusted by this. Organic lunch options? Take a look at the menu I posted. Not everything is organic. Your child will eat organic chicken as the choice of protein every day. There is not enough variety in the menu. I asked Mary where they get the food from. Her exact words "I wish I knew...we just get it from the catering company who picks it up from a restaurant everyday". The last straw for me was when my child got Hand Foot Mouth disease from another student in this school. I contacted the school immediately after the doctor confirmed the condition. I asked Mary if she was aware of any other students who had this illness prior to my child. She responded with "Oh yeah, there was another kid who got the HFMD on Monday". So why were we not informed??? Right when she heard about my child, she told me "Great, now I have to let all the other parents know because there's an outbreak. Here comes the letter one more time. We had the same issue last summer" WOW, I was appalled by her attitude. Not only did she not learn from the first incidence from last year, she made it sound like it was OUR fault that she has to do extra work once again. In the end, licensing office came to evaluate the situation and fined the school for not taking proper actions in dealing with a contagious disease. My advice to the school is get someone who is passionate and energetic in managing the school. Don't get someone out of retirement to run it. Overall, teachers are only decent. If you're looking for just a daycare that could teach your child a few things, this might be the place for you. We would never ever recommend this school to anyone that we know. read more

My 4-year old daughter stayed here in Yellow room for 3 months. She's shy and couldn't speak a single English word. Ms Usha was the Yellow room teacher, she really loves and cares for my daughter. With her help, my daughter got used to the school quickly, she was happy and made some friends in a short time. We really appreciate that. We like two teachers best here, namely: Ms Usha and Ms Shudan. Due to some incident, her Mom decided to drop her off from the school, and we did. My daughter went to another school for 2 weeks, during these terrible 2 weeks, she's never happy, she cried every day. She's alone on playground. And the new school was not fun at all, not like Ready preschool's lot of fun activities. Finally, we switched back to Ready Preschool, the teachers and director welcomed her warmly. My son started here at 24 months and he loves this place. My biggest concern was dropping him off the first month since he cried during drop off every morning for a whole month with the previous day care we went to... To my surprise, he never shed a tear or gave us a hard time since day 1 at Ready Preschool. Also, It really makes it easier when the school provides healthier mostly organic food options (lunch and snacks) so I don't have to stress about what to pack him daily. It's also a huge plus this preschool is a nut-free zone. My son is allergic to a few nuts so makes me feel much better knowing he won't be exposed to any during his time in school. I'm probably jinxing myself now for saying this but he hasn't gotten sick since he started as of two months ago. After visiting a lot of preschools in San Jose, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, and Milpitas, we ended up choosing this rather new preschool a few years back, and do not regret it at all. In my experience... this is a clean, safe, and nicely furnished place, where the kids can be left without worry. The staff is very well qualified and diverse, and takes a lot of care of kids. They are flexible with schedules and special requests. Our child loves the teachers, director, and support staff. This is not a preschool for Asians only. Everybody is welcome and treated equally. English is the main spoken language and native and non-natives learn it correctly. Something of added value is the opportunity to learn Mandarin which is such a hard language. By 3, kids know the letters, simple addition and subtraction. By 4, they know things that the public school is teaching later in Kinder, or in 1st grade. With the education acquired, our child got offered a position at private school (we still are yet to decide either for private or public). Some simple homework is given for the weekend, but there is no pressure on the student. Still, the homework supports the learning process a lot. The tuition includes healthy snacks in the morning and afternoon, and organic meals at lunch. read more

My son Patrik has been here for 2 and half years and he loved the school since day one! We moved 10 miles away after one year he attended the school, but we still sent him here so he can be a giant happy ball everyday when i pick him up. My son has made dramatic progress here and has learned quite ahead of knowledge compare to other schools. Not to mention that the teachers turnover rate here is very low. We have been seen same teachers since we got here and each of them knows my sons name. The teachers are really caring and you can tell they really do love their job and kids from heart. This is the best bilingual school in Milpitas, I found for my daughter, she is graduated from yellow room recently. I had to take her out from school due to my official travel. As a parent, this was our best decision to enroll her to this school. All the teachers are very good and helpful. Kids are happy here.
