They have a huge playground with slides, climbing structures, tricycles...It's just like a park! They also have tents to provide shade to the kids. They put the kids outside regularly through the day for them to play and burn energy. The school often has shows coming in, like puppet or music or bubble shows or even some petting zoos coming with animals to the school! In the summer they rent some gigantic bouncy water slide for one day for the kids to play. The teachers are genuinely caring and loving, and I never had any communication issue with them. The kids never complained about anything. And the curriculum is good, my son was writing well before 5 and could start reading when leaving Elan. The teachers and directors are truly fantastic and consistently go above and beyond for the kids and families. I'll admit, I went back and forth for a while about whether my child really needed to attend a childcare program. But once we found Elan, that uncertainty completely went away. I feel so good about what she's learning and the care and attention the staff provides every day. What really stands out is how intentional they are. The teachers lead from strong principles, handle situations thoughtfully, and create such a positive learning environment. There are always engaging activities happening that keep the kids curious and excited. They also keep me well updated. I get photos daily, updates when she eat and what she eats, things I was never expecting. Another big highlight is the outdoor playground -- it's massive, safe, and gives the kids plenty of room to run, explore, and just be kids. They have special events and activities that add tremendous value to the program. Things range from puppet shows to animal appearances and so much more. It's worth the spend. Holidays are also fun to see them celebrate, including a Christmas performance at the end of the year. I could honestly go on and on, but if you're looking for a preschool, I'd definitely recommend checking Elan out and seeing for yourself how great their program is.

I have so many wonderful things to say about the school and staff, but I don't have enough time to write an entire essay! Overall, everyone has been incredibly kind, supportive, and caring throughout my daughter's milestones and development. From her teachers and teacher assistants (there have been many over the years, so it would be difficult to list them all) to the front desk staff Ms. Cassandra, Ms. Cindy, and Ms. Chitra, everyone has always been helpful, accommodating, and attentive to my daughter's needs and communication. The facility is clean, organized, and always feels safe. It was a brand-new school when we first enrolled, and they have continued to maintain the property and improve their operations over time. There is also plenty of parking, which makes drop-off and pick-up very convenient for parents. One thing I truly appreciate is how the school continuously strives to improve and enhance safety for the children. Over the years, they have implemented several positive changes, such as installing doorbell alerts when classroom doors are opened, tracking and documenting classroom attendance to ensure every child is accounted for, and upgrading their communication system. Parents can now easily view photos and receive updates about their child's daily activities and progress through the app. Most importantly, I have seen tremendous growth in my daughter since attending Learn & Play. The curriculum is easy for parents to follow and has played a significant role in her learning and development. Overall, I highly recommend Milpitas Learn & Play. All of the staff is very supportive and we get regular updates throughout the day via message and more info at pick up on how the day went. It is also very easy to communicate through their app regarding pick up changes, general questions, etc. In the Bumblebee class (ages 2-3), you could not ask for better teachers than Ms. Yolanda and Ms. Sarah. They've taken such great care of our baby. Hands On Learning was our first school/daycare experience. Prior to this, our baby was regularly with me as I work from home. While already very extrovert and talkative, we really wanted them to gain more social experience. Most of the children in our lives are all older, so they're not used to parallel play with others their age. They're also used to 1:1 attention from an adult, so we wanted to expose them to a larger group setting sooner than later to improve on any growing social or separation anxiety. Ms. Yolanda in particular has been working tirelessly 1:1 with our baby and really partnering with us to make the transition from no school to half day to now full time (!) 5x a week to be as seamless and pain-free as possible. She's been great about learning what we already do at home and providing additional recommendations for us to try that will help with adjusting to full time school. I keep hearing that our baby is making lots of improvement from both Ms. Yolanda and Ms. Sarah. The evidence is all over our baby's laughing, smiling face as we talk on the drive home and lasts all the way until bedtime. I can't thank everyone here enough for helping our baby thrive. My son has been going to Happy Hearts Academy since July 2011. We are blessed to have found such wonderful teachers in Ms. Rupa, Ms. Bijal and Ms. Rekha. My son, who just turned 3, has blossomed and progressed in many ways under their care. The transition from a home-based care provider to preschool was unbelievably smooth. Teachers greet and welcome us very warmly every morning. They are always open to suggestions. Every evening I get a complete update on how his day went. He is a very picky eater and I have a very difficult time getting him to eat his veggies. With constant encouragement from his teachers, he now empties his lunch box almost everyday. They taught him his alphabets, numbers, colors, continents, oceans and much more here. They have interesting toys, games and creative ideas to help kids improve their motor skills. As a bonus, I can also enroll my first grader during his winter and spring breaks here. Ms. Rupa keeps him engaged with games like Scrabble, which my first grader loves to play. All of this at a very reasonable price. I would definitely recommend this school to all parents looking for a preschool for their kids. read more

My daughter is going to HH since past 2 years. It was her first time she started full time school and she adjusted pretty well in her first week itself. Teachers are so caring and loving. Teachers make sure kids learn good values and principles. My daughter looks forward for Friday as it is art day and they make very creative stuff. Whenever I go to pick up my daughter and if she is in middle of her work or story time, she will make me wait or ask me to come back until she is done. This explains how much she loves this school. For Kindergarten admissions we gave assessment for one of the private school and my Daughter did really well. The school personally asked us which school our daughter goes to as her fine motor skills and phonics were really strong and asked us to thank HH teachers for all the efforts they take. That made us feel really proud of selecting HH school for our daughter. read more

Its also why I have sent both my daughter and now my son to the school. The teachers, Ms. Aida, Ms. Ishira, Ms. Kat, and the director Ms. Selva are both long time members of this school and what makes this place so special. They have the experience, training, and kindness to handle the kids. Simple things such as calming a scared child when you drop them off for the first time at school to having them go through potty training, are handled like they have gone through it a hundred times, which they probably have. The curriculum is solid. The kids are taught through hands on lessons at the individual stations. Stations that change constantly as the lessons progress throughout the year. Things such as letters, colors, science, and math are all covered at various times of the year. The activities they have going on throughout the year provides the child an understanding to things outside of a normal curriculum. GV does things such as having guest appearances from firefighters and police officers, celebrating Indian and Asian holidays, and having various field trips all provide the children with knowledge that they can only make away from the classroom. The year end performance is priceless and the teachers work hard to get the kids to dance in them. I know because I've dropped by during their practice times. We scoured Yelp for some answers and landed on Sunshine School. Sunshine made that transition so much easier for us. I still remember our very first tour. One of the students came up and befriended Ellie while we were there -- and the two of them ended up being friends all the way through their last day of preschool together. It feels like such a perfect little snapshot of our experience at Sunshine. The teachers truly cared about Ellie, and she loved every one of her teachers from the very beginning. They put so much effort into creating fun projects and activities for the kids, and we loved watching how much she learned and grew there. Special shoutouts go to Ms. Lu, Ms. Yula, Ms. Jenny, Ms. Carole, Ms. Summer, and Ms. Kelly! We also really appreciated the Mandarin immersion. I don't speak much Mandarin myself (my high school Mandarin course is but a distant memory here), but Ellie's dad and grandparents do, so having her encouraged to hear, learn, and actually use the language at school has been such wonderful exposure for her. She came home singing songs, using words and phrases, and clearly feeling comfortable with the language in a way I never could have given her on my own. More than anything, Sunshine became a place where we felt comfortable leaving our daughter every day -- which, for an anxious first-time preschool parent, is probably the highest compliment I can give. And I think the most telling review is this: we'll be back. We have a younger child, and when he's old enough, we fully plan to enroll him at Sunshine too. There really isn't a stronger endorsement than trusting the same school with your next baby. We are also enrolling Ellie in the after school program as she enters TK.
