I went here a few days ago for their Saturday deal to get a standard ear lobe piercing. It was pretty dead (there was one other person) since it was Christmas Eve. All of the employees were hanging out in the front and were every welcoming. Like the other reviews say: you must fill out the form and pay before getting your piercing done. I got pierced by Taylor, who was incredibly nice. She marked my ears and had me double check before piercing them. There was no immediate rush from the process and told me to breathe in and out as she did each ear. And before I got to ask, she mentioned to pick up the after-care instructions at the front but luckily, she had some at her station! Although where you'd get your piercing or tattoo done is an open space, it's a decent place if you want a cheap, quick piercing (especially during their Saturday deal - a piercing for $17). Just keep in mind about the time you're going at because like other reviews have said, it can be a wait before your turn. I might've gotten lucky with the no line/wait this time but I'll definitely be back in the future to get another piercing done, or rec to a friend. read more

I got an ear piercing here when I was in town. One of my friends had gotten his industrial piercing done here, so I figured I'd check it out. I was tempted by the discount Saturday deal, but I just had no business in Toronto on a weekend. The place is dead empty when me and my friend walk in. Visually, the place could really use a pick me up. It looks.... well, it looks like it would charge the prices it does for piercing. It's far from the fanciest tattoo/piercing place I've ever been, but not the worst. However, I was looking for something cheaper ($25 sounded pretty good to me at the time), so there I was. The receptionist had me quickly fill out a form, and I was sent to the back promptly to receive my piercing. The lady who did the piercing had an apprentice watching. The piercer briefly talks over what I want, attempts to find a ring that matches the one I already have for my other piercing, then just does it. The apprentice comments, "I've never seen it done that way before," to which the piercer replies, "I have my own way of doing this. I'm a revolutionary." This exchange left me with a weird feeling about the whole thing, but I didn't think too much of it. After that, she handed me a poorly cut sheet of paper with brief care instructions (not going over them because I already had piercings) and sent me on my way. My friend, who sat in the front area, said the whole process took around 5 minutes. Months later, this piercing is the most stubborn I've ever had. It's been continuously in pain for 5 months. I don't know if it's supposed to take 5 months to heal, as she never told me that info. As well, my friend pointed out that the jewelery I was given had a gem in it; the ring that the piercer tried to match does not have any kind of gem in it. Overall, I'd say you get what you pay for when it comes to this place. I had a sanitary experience and I got what I wanted, but it's obvious that they don't necessarily care about their piercing work. read more

I've gotten two piercings from here, a naval piercing and a nose piercing. The saturday deal is great. I got my naval piercing done 8 months ago, and it had no complications and healed perfectly! My nose piercing was done just a month ago and there is a small bump (because my stud came out, and irritation) but other than that I still love it. This place is quick and simple, although it's a bit cramped and it seems the workers want to rush the job to be done and have me out of there. Still, I will always go here for piercings because it's cheap, simple, and I love the results! read more

We went on Saturday, $17 piercings! I got snakebites, and love them. The piercer was super friendly and explained everything she was doing. They even give you a paper afterwards with instructions on how to keep it clean. All in all very professional and fun. The only downside whatsoever is that it's a bit cramped in there, at least on weekends. But I mean whatever, we were there like 12 minutes total. read more

Got my double helix piercing done yesterday. The price is what attracted me there, only $15 per piercing on saturdays, that's amazing. I did go on a thursday but it still wasn't too bad, $25. The girl piercing my ear (forgot her name) was nice and friendly. She understood all my concerns (I pierced it before and had complications). I went to Reactive Ink on a Saturday to get my nipples pierced. The staff were very nice and funny and I felt welcome when I came in. The price for both was 34$ but they didn't have change so they gave me an extra dollar back! When I walked in the back to do it it was kind of open with other people getting pierced around you. I was really scared at first especially knowing they don't use clamps or ice cubes to make your nipples hard, but the pain only lasted 2 seconds and she did one right after another to get it over with. As a result, the right one is completely straight and the left one is a little off but they still look amazing. A little off the professional side but I will probably go back for more, overall good experience. Thank you :) read more

I walked 20 minutes to this place holding my bleeding ear and the stopper to for a new piercing that had fallen out. The front of the store was empty but I was asked to wait while the person at the counter completed a phone call and was then immediately told "anything that requires gloves is $10" and that I should just try to get someone to help me "pop it back in" (clearly trying to do that is how I ended up with the bleeding ear). I was also planning on getting a tragus piercing but I didn't bother asking. I understand store policy and I'm not holding the person at the register at fault for following it, but my regular piercer in Brooklyn always helps me immediately when I have an issue and never charges even though her policy for swap-outs is $15. I have consequently gone back to her for 5 piercings. The person at the desk was very friendly and nice but this is clearly not a store that cares about building clientele. read more

During the most recent visit, the guy at the front desk was kind of a dick. He definitely needs to learn a little something about customer service. I decided to get some tattoos I've been wanting for a while, stopped in to inquire at Reactive ink. The artist, Ian, did two tattoos on me in one go on the same day. He was super patient and kind, had helpful suggestions to improve the design and customized on the spot. The shop was sanitary and had a pleasant, laid-back vibe. Ian spent a lot of time prepping his tools and answering all my questions about them. All in all, great experience, friendly artists, thorough instructions for aftercare, and I love both my tattoos! read more

I went on a Saturday when all piercings are priced at $15. I had arrived at about 2:30 - 3 and I was not pierced until about 5:30. Once it was my turn to be pierced the piercer took me to the back where she thoroughly sterilized the area I wanted pierced. The process was quick and she immediately cleaned up any blood that she saw. when she was finished she walked me through the cleaning process of my new piercing and gave me a slip with directions on how to clean my piercings. My piercings healed fairly quickly and without any problems. I would recommend this place to anyone who is considering it and I would also recommend going in the morning as it is not as busy as the afternoon. read more

i got a belly button piercing here. she but in too short of a bar and the piercing started to embed in my skin. i had to go to another place to get longer bar. since the bar i had before was too short it trapped in bacteria and caused an abscess (really bad infection) and i had to go the hospital. and my belly button is all fucked up. my cousin also got her tragus pierced here and a day later it got infected. read more

Be extremely cautious if you go for a piercing and do NOT let the chick with the eyebrow tattoo Pierce you. She took me and a friend in for us each to get our noses pierced. She didn't say a word to me during the piercing other than "I'm putting the alcohol on now". We had to ask everything regarding metal and even size. I went first (we've both had this done before). This piercer literally stabbed through my nose 3 times with the exact same dirty, blood-covered needle because she kept messing up the hole in my nose for the piercing. She must've soaked 6 sheets of paper towel fully with my blood and dozens of q-tips due to the fact that my face was literally covered and gushing with blood. She had the audacity to act offended and rude when my friend was too scared to let this piercer touch her face after that and gave us attitude. Now, a day later, my piercing is caving into my skin because she also shoved it in way too far! My piercing is COMPLETELY swallowed by the hole in my nose. moral of the story: be extremely careful who you have pierce you, observe the person first, and just simplify things, pay the extra money and go to a studio that will always take care of you instead of trying to save some money. Ps. Taking money before the piercing and denying refunds is sketchy. I've never been to a parlour that does that and I can see why you guys do. Update: went to my regular place and they basically said that whoever pierced me should not be piercing. It was that outrageously bad and unprofessional. Despite this, they didn't think they did anything wrong when I called and had the audacity to ask me to come back so they could try again.... read more

I came here for a cartilage piercing on the Saturday special and the customer service wasn't great. It was pretty fast to get in there, and I went and got my cartilage done. It hurt for a little, but it was cheap so i guess you get what you pay for! I would suggest coming here for only ear piercings, nothing facial just because it doesn't seem all that professional. read more

I got my tragus re-pierced here and took advantage of their $17 walk in special on Saturdays. Although the price is good, you really get what you pay for. There's long line up to get piercings and the wait time wasn't that long but the girl who did my piercing did it totally slanted, and since it's my 2nd tragus piercing because my first one was off, now I am contemplating to have it repierced again- THIRD TIME? What a waste of money. However, the staff there were really nice, just when you are hurried down a line to get piercings the quality definitely goes down. read more

A few months ago, a friend went there to get an ear piercing. I went along and got a nipple piercing. For ten bucks why not! Yes, it was extremely busy, we had to wait hours and the place was a dive. They used clean needles and I had no problems afterward. In fact, I returned a couple of weeks later for a butterfly tattoo that looks great. I received great customer service and a fair price. I'll be going be back for my second tattoo next week. read more

I went there yesterday with my friend to get a daith piercing and they fucked it up... Like they burst a blood vessel. I didn't know at the time though I thought it was just a painful piercing that had a lot of blood. However, when I left the store, after about an hour it started gushing blood like no tomorrow. I had to run into the nearest washroom and try to stop it, but it would not stop. People in the washroom thought I was dying. No one knew what to do. I had to run into adrenaline to see if they could help. They examined it and confirmed that they indeed did burst a blood vessel. And they said the only option I had to save my ear from getting an infection was to remove it... So basically they wasted my money. I am probably going to sue them. I hope no one goes there. And if you do let God be on your side, cuz I could have passed out from all the blood loss. read more

Went with my friend on their $15 Saturday deal. I got my industrial done and my friend had her septum done. Just had to take my industrial out tonight because it was so painful. She put two bars in, she said it would cut the healing time in half. When I tried to take the bar closest to my head out, I realized she screwed the ball on to the side that's inside of my ear rather than the outside of my hear - which is nearly impossible to stick your fingers into to unscrew the ball. I had to use tweezers to unscrew the ball on the inside of my ear. Why she didn't put it the other way is beyond me. My friend had her septum done and she didn't use the clamp the first time and it came out SO crooked. The piercer said she could re do it or it might fall into place within the next week. My friend had her re pierce it, this time she actually used a clamp. Our piercer was nice but seemed very distracted talking to other employees in the room next to ours. The receptionist was extremely cold as well and it felt like you were bothering her when you asked a question. Overall not a good experience. I'm giving it two stars instead of one because our piercer was nice and told me I could come in to change my bar for free. But I guess you get what you pay for here! read more

This is probably the worst place to get a belly piercing. If you are thinking of getting one....DO NOT go here. My experience was under 5 minutes and the person who pierced me was pretty fucking careless and didn't say anything to me about after care and didn't reassure me at all. They pierced it lopsided and made the two holes way too close together, not to mention that the ring was made out of some shitty material that give me a nasty horrible painful infection for almost 4 MONTHS, resulting in tropic scarring and my piercing to migrate!!! So every ring I put in looks like shit because it is way too long for the holes that aren't even fucking vertical, I'm beyond triggered. This shit is irreversible and now I'll have a gross scar from a place that cost me 20$ for the rest of my life when I could have spent 150$ on a boujee place like chronic ink where they actually know wtf they are doing!!!! It would have been so worth it, I regret it SO much. So that's a big fuck you first of all to Reactive Ink. read more

so i got my cartilige pierced from here on saturday august 13th 2011! was ten dollars the next day it started getting red and swollen and i thought it was nothing! then the swelling kept on getting worse and worse until i had to remove the earing from my ear! then i thought it would get better and it wasnt! so 4 days later i went to the walk in clinic to get anti biotics for the infection that was in my ear i was on the anti biotics for a week and still nothing! so i went to numerous walk in clinics and they kept on telling me the infection is still there soak it every night and it will soon go away. i soaked it for three days. then i realized the infection was moving down to my liver. there were bumps all over my neck and my ear was throbbing! i couldnt even sleep it was the worse pain. so i went to emergency. they cut my ear open and drained it and i was on an iv for 4 days! and i had to get tested for HIV and AIDS! THEY USED THE SAME NEEDLE FOR ME MY SISTER AND MY SISTERS FRIEND! so i suggest not getting anything pierced from here! read more

went in with my boyfriend too get his ears pierced on saturday jan 3rd 2015 for their discount piercings and i would seriously not recommend going there, even thought it was not me who was getting pierced (and never will in the future trust those assholes with my body) just witnessing the horrible service and non pro piercing being done on a loved one was enough to ensure myself that i will never recommend that repulsive shop to anyone. the only thing good about them were the prices. we went in pretty early around 11:30-12:00 and the woman in the front was extremely rude to both of us (it was my bf first piercing-his earlobes- and he was extremely nervous, so her attitude didnt help). we went in for his piercing and the woman began to do her work, she marked them with a pen-so far so good- and he lay down and she begun to pierce him. she freehanded the piercing, he began to bleed, her hands were extremely rough, she struggled to get the jewelry through before deciding that the jewelry was too small and she had to go to the back to get other jewelry,, his ear began to swell so much that she had to re pierce it, by then her hands were covered in my boyfriends blood and she pretty much struggled though the rest of the piercing. and for what? 2 fucking lobe piercings? find a new job lady. id sooner trust claires with piercings, if i we wanted a piercing job like that i would have taken him to my fucking kitchen and done it myself with an icecube and a sewing needle! after we left it was obvious that one of the piercings were pierced lower than the other, giving an uneven overall visual. had it been 1 or the other-bad customer service but good piercing, or good customer service and bad piercing- this review might not have been so bad, but we got the whole shit-covered package of extremely rude workers and bad service. again, i will not reccomend this place to anyone, even with the low prices, your body and looks are worth more! i would highly recommend new tribe for piercings, great service and professional piercings, their prices are a bit more than average but it is well worth it. if i could shut down fucking reactive ink i would, those people who work there have no business stabbing needles through customers or even talking to the general public. they will never get anywhere in life. read more
