Since Astound took them over, I had over 5 service calls telling them I had barely any service. It seemed I was on a party line, sharing my service with others on my street. I called Starlight Broadband, and the installer noticed one of my cables was in the wrong port. It fixed my problem. But ended up changing services anyway. I had made my payment early on July 1, 2025. It wasn't due until July 8, 2025. I cancelled July 2, 2025. They refuse to refund any monies stating I was paying for June 15, 2025 to July 15, 2025. Even though I would have been able to use their services until August 8, 2025. They said over and over, "Its our policy to never refund any monies"... They even told me they could see I wasn't connected any longer. What a rip off.

Not only are they unorganized and unprofessional but also rude!!! 1st agent I spoke with kept stating they could send any one to install my internet because it was almost 5pm and there are no service agent after 5pm, I got tired of telling her that it was 2:30pm where I live! It was almost 4pm when she finally understood and by then she really couldn't schedule anyone. I had to schedule for the next day and requested a call before heading to my location. No one ever called nor went home (I had someone stayed home so I wouldn't miss them) When I called customer service to inquire, the lady said someone did go and no one was there, I asked why no one called me then, she said they did called ONCE when they arrived at the address but they got "a beeping signal" and she kept getting louder and louder every time I told her I knew no one showed up and that they were supposed to call me BEFORE going to my address. She wanted to schedule me again for another day.....I told her "HECK NO" if that's how their customer service is, I would rather not be with them at all! I had to tell her repeatedly to cancel my order! ZERO STARS!!!

Astoundingly HORRIBLE internet service, the absolute worst I have ever had, hands down. I see a lot…read moreof people talking about the outages, which do definitely happen on a regular basis, but the real issue is the internet speed and their prices. I paid for 1Gb internet speed. My Grande/Astound internet speed never topped out at more than 40Mbps. That's 4% of what I paid for! The only reason I didn't immediately cancel my service was because I lived in an apartment where my only option was Grande/Astound. I even bought one of the absolute best modem/routers you can buy, and I bought a signal extender too. Still, 40Mbps max. Not only that, but my bill went up 3 times! And without so much as an email notification telling me it was going up. By the end, I was paying $120.00 a month for 40Mbps. Highway. Robbery. When I moved, I got AT&T fiber which literally tops out at 1300Mbps. that is 32 TIMES FASTER than Astound, and for only $86 a month. If the apartment you're looking at only allows you to use Grande/Astound, don't even bother moving there.
