We had a break in. And issues with amerigas and other minor issues that Fairway could handle and they took care of the minor issues promptly. They are attentive to the needs of their rental tenants and make sure things are taken care of in a timely manor. We have the cutest three bedroom home at a a price that was far below what the average was for a three bedroom home. If you need housing and are working on a budget contact Rich! He's the man to make things happen! We love ya rich up here in the blue house on the hill!

Rich was understanding of the situation and worked with us to be sure we knew the process that was happening and were well situated to handle all aspects. In addition to providing his real estate services, we also needed some maintenance issues taken care of and he got a team in there and had it all handled, much to the relief of his clients. A caring and concerned staff who are there for you every step of the way. Rarely can selling a home be described as a "Wonderful experience" but because of Rich and his staffs attention to our needs, it absolutely was a wonderful experience. You can't go wrong with Rich and Fairway Real Estate!

I am around when people call in there is no push off they handle each call. We have a repair coordinator, 2 showing and problem handlers, amd an accounting person. I can not stop people that don't pay , don't pay on time, break the lease contract rules, from posting because they are angry because we did what we had to. We paid a deposit, first month's rent, and application fees. That's the only positive thing I can say. Here's the good stuff: Countless unanswered phone calls and emails. Each time we attempted to contact someone there was no reply the first or second time. Staff is only responsive during rent collection week. Try to talk to someone in the middle of the month? Forget about it. Walk in with a check for 2 grand the first or last day of the month? Greeted with a smile and their trusty receipt log. No follow through! Kind of ties in with the unanswered phone calls and emails. Once you actually get to speak with someone, you won't receive and answer until you ask about 3 or 4 more times. Poorly maintained homes. Very simple inexpensive repairs and replacements need done and probably will, on our dime. I'm 100% confident when I say that we're not going to be getting any of our deposit money back. We took excellent care of this house and even made some slight improvements. The people before us moved out and left things pretty...unclean. They were allowed to do this. After mentioning this we were told we already moved in so there's nothing they can do about it. We also asked about some of the appliances that weren't working properly and were completely ignored. Ended up making things work on our own which resulted in abnormally high utility bills. Did they help then? Absolutely not. Said it was our fault and WE SHOULD HAVE ASKED FOR HELP. I absolutely love paying over $20,000 a year to live somewhere we get to call our home but pretty much can't breathe in without asking permission. We'd love to be home owners. However, owning a home is a privilege not everyone gets.

    I never thought I would have to take someone to court, but that's the process I'm in right now. RCW…read more59.18.280 states that the landlord has 21 days from the time the rental agreement ends and the tenant vacates the unit to postmark the return of the deposit or a written statement detailing why portions of the deposit were withheld. If the letter or bill gives estimates of repair costs, but not actual repair costs, your landlord failed to notify you correctly under the law even if your landlord gave you those estimates within 21 days. The court case that says estimates are not good enough is Goodeill v. Madison Real Estate, 191 Wash.App. 88 (2015). So I'm entitled to my entire security deposit and I have yet to receive it. What's worse is that when sharing the law and case information to NRB, the response I got was "This is how we've always done it." Way to tell me that you've been breaking the law for a LONG time. So as a result, all of my friends who are moving to tacoma, I steer them far away from NRB. so why two stars instead of one? Well, while we were there, things seemed fine. They were generally very responsive when we needed them to be, although I wasn't a fan of the occasional need to have inspections done. That was weird and the first time I've encountered it as a renter since college.

My advice is not to do business with these folks as they're practically unresponsive and when they are, they'll give you conflicting information and be very disrespectful. Rest assured that I will be making a formal complaint with the attorney general's office and the Tacoma Chambers of commerce. If you want to rent with these folks, expect to need a lawyer to deal with them.

Our accepted offer specified that scrap wood,…read morea refrigerator, leftover paint, chemicals, workbench, and golf clubs were to be removed prior to closing. The accepted offer also stated that the home was sold "as is", and no repairs would be made to the home. At the final walk through, we again pointed out that the items were to be removed. Additionally, the listing stated that the home was equipped with a heat pump, which upon inspection was found to never have been installed. In the case of the heat pump, he threw his employee under the bus and said it was there fault it wasn't listed properly. On both the cleanup and heat pump issues he hid behind his interpretation of "as is". We're doing the cleanup ourselves, even though it was specified in our contract. If Adam Schmier is involved in your deal,be very cautious. I don't trust his integrity.

He also integrated my feedback and quickly responded to any question I had regarding home buying since it was my families first home. He valued my opinions and promptly got us through the steps needed to close. I honestly didn't do any research on him, I just called Remax and I was lucky that he answered, because he was upfront, to the point, friendly and professional. He immediately connected me with a good mortgage company and checked in while I was in the approval process. I was very impressed with his local knowledge and his responsiveness. We just moved into our first home that was under our budget, met our standards and in a nice gated community. It was a big transition to move out of state, change jobs and find a place to live with a toddler but I truly felt that their was less stress because of Adam. We strongly recommend him to you if you are looking to buy a home and we are looking forward to working with him in the future when either family or ourselves decide to purchase land/property.
