I promptly told her about my intention to purchase in Seattle. I had put out some feelers in Seattle for an agency to work with, but hadn't felt comfortable with the large organizations. Beth gave me her word that she would come to Seattle and work her tail off to help me get a place. I won't bore you with the details of the search, but it took some time. Seattle is a very tough market and every place we looked at would easily get 10+ competitive offers. These offers would usually drive bids to 100K over the asking price. This would have been extremely frustrating and intimating for me, however, I had Beth. Beth never backed down, and did not let any larger organization agent push us around. This was a huge learning curve for me, but she never left my side. She walked me through the different processes, helped me understand what the best options for me was, would come up at a moments notice to look at a hot property, and just cared for my well being. Her assistance didn't end when I finally won a bid, she stuck around and meticulously helped me through the loan process as well. She was with me when I signed papers and continued to follow up after closing. My experience with Thunderbird Real Estate, and Beth Johnson was outstanding. If you are in The Olympia/Tumwater area or In Seattle like me, you will be doing yourself a disservice if you don't use Thunderbird as your real estate agency. It's unlike any other agent I've worked with. Most agents will post their cell phone pics on the MLS and call it good. Shane and Lisa call in multiple professionals and work as a team. Every house I've shot for them has had some sort of fixture replaced, a deep cleaning, something painted (if not the whole house), concrete cleaned, windows washed, modern house numbers added, plants/sod/potting soil added. Once all that is done, they'll bring in the stager and photographer. Then they'll market the house on multiple social media channels and have a custom URL website for the property. I know I'm missing something because the extent they go to is overwhelming. I don't know how they do it and still have time to sleep. What stood out right away when we met him is his great desire to help us find the ideal home for us. He worked with us for several weeks before we made our house-hunting trip from LA by providing us on a daily basis the homes we would be interested in and helped us compile a top-20 list based on our specifications. Its very apparent that he loves serving people and has a tremendous enthusiasm for the business of real estate. He has that winning personality and sense of humor that you feel very happy and comfortable with and driving the properties turned out to be very pleasurable task rather than a boring chore. For every home we visited, he had helpful remarks on layout, good and not-so-good features and where we might need work done. He helped us compile a list of our top-5 properties and, when it came time to settle on our first choice and make an offer, he helped us figure out advantages and disadvantages of each one, rank them, and strategize our approach. We never had a shred of doubt of his honesty and integrity and that he was completely on our side. Shane also has an extensive network of support entities of mortgage brokers, appraisers, inspectors and handy men, and knew most of the listing agents. We were extremely lucky to have the Kilnkhammer team help us find our dream home and count our blessings that we had them looking out for our interests.
