The manager wanted to charge us thousands of dollars for a superficial interior paint job which was finally reduced to a few hundred by the owner, but we lost confidence in our manager after that. Other repairs were hundreds of dollars and a reimbursement for paint to the tenant after their handyman already painted was too high. The comments made by the manager about the monthly rent being too high seemed to be the justification for the overpricing of paint jobs and repairs. If you want to save money with more experienced property managers, go elsewhere.

First off, I would like to be clear I did not hire Wes Neal as my realtor. I was a buyer for a…read morehouse he was representing as the seller's agent. My complaint is coming from the buyer's side as he made this transaction process extremely difficult for myself and my agent. Anyone buying a home and Wes Neal is the realtor for the seller, BEWARE! From the beginning he lacked clear, transparent communication skills with my realtor. Wes was hard to reach, ignored specific questions, and seemed quite shady. He hired his own family member to paint the house, which was performed in a deplorable manner and was not done the way it had been agreed to in the 35R. He went past deadlines with zero communication or reasons why he had been unable to respond. In this specific transaction Wes appeared to me to be unprofessional, rude, disorganized, and broke the Washington State Realtor Code of Ethics (which he is a member) Preamble Article 1 which states that realtors are obligated to treat ALL parties honestly. He blatantly lied about when he called a septic inspector to come out to the house. The inspector confirmed it happened 3 days prior not 2 weeks prior as Wes told my agent. Although, the failed septic turned into a blessing in disguise as I am now purchasing a much better home, it was a devastating blow at the time. Wes also failed to let me out of the transaction after stating the seller was unable to perform the needed work to make the house uo to county standards to sell. Wes proceeded to hold the house on the market in pending status after we ended out contract. In my opinion, this realtor is one to watch one to avoid at all cost if he is selling a home you wish to buy.

I've saved the botched paperwork & drafted a timeline chronicling the inane replies, appalling incompetence & brazen lack of care displayed by Mr. Hulen... & YES, I have hard evidence outlining the blunders warranting Mr. Hulen's prompt, decisive attention. . I hope the foregoing serves as a caveat for prospective clients of this brokerage, lest they risk enduring the same fiasco as me. I nearly lost my $2,000 earnest money & the reason I didn't lose it was by ZERO effort of Better Properties. It's unlike any other agent I've worked with. Most agents will post their cell phone pics on the MLS and call it good. Shane and Lisa call in multiple professionals and work as a team. Every house I've shot for them has had some sort of fixture replaced, a deep cleaning, something painted (if not the whole house), concrete cleaned, windows washed, modern house numbers added, plants/sod/potting soil added. Once all that is done, they'll bring in the stager and photographer. Then they'll market the house on multiple social media channels and have a custom URL website for the property. I know I'm missing something because the extent they go to is overwhelming. I don't know how they do it and still have time to sleep. If I was going to intrust ANYONE to sell my house - it would be without a doubt, Shane and Lisa Klinkhammer. They make the world a better place and deserve so, so much more.

He helped us compile a list of our top-5 properties and, when it came time to settle on our first choice and make an offer, he helped us figure out advantages and disadvantages of each one, rank them, and strategize our approach. We never had a shred of doubt of his honesty and integrity and that he was completely on our side. Shane also has an extensive network of support entities of mortgage brokers, appraisers, inspectors and handy men, and knew most of the listing agents.
