The foregoing statement is an abject falsity. Mr. Hulen epitomizes what a respectable brokerage should NOT be. The North Proctor franchise is a blight to the otherwise good name of Better Properties. I won't dispense with the details fueling the impetus of this review now, but I'd be glad to share the events substantiating my claim upon request. I've saved the botched paperwork & drafted a timeline chronicling the inane replies, appalling incompetence & brazen lack of care displayed by Mr. Hulen... & YES, I have hard evidence outlining the blunders warranting Mr. Hulen's prompt, decisive attention. . I hope the foregoing serves as a caveat for prospective clients of this brokerage, lest they risk enduring the same fiasco as me. I nearly lost my $2,000 earnest money & the reason I didn't lose it was by ZERO effort of Better Properties. I WAS ON MY OWN & ultimately I was fortunate enough to get the debacle under control with careful strategizing, help of friends in the know & a few prayers!

I am not a customer of Shane/Lisa's but I've been their go-to photographer for the past 2 years…read more.. And in this timespan, I've had an opportunity to see how they treat their clients. It's unlike any other agent I've worked with. Most agents will post their cell phone pics on the MLS and call it good. Shane and Lisa call in multiple professionals and work as a team. Every house I've shot for them has had some sort of fixture replaced, a deep cleaning, something painted (if not the whole house), concrete cleaned, windows washed, modern house numbers added, plants/sod/potting soil added. Once all that is done, they'll bring in the stager and photographer. Then they'll market the house on multiple social media channels and have a custom URL website for the property. I know I'm missing something because the extent they go to is overwhelming. I don't know how they do it and still have time to sleep. If I was going to intrust ANYONE to sell my house - it would be without a doubt, Shane and Lisa Klinkhammer. They make the world a better place and deserve so, so much more.

My wife and I have bought and sold 9 homes in the last 40 years and we have seen our fair share of…read morereal estate agents. Shane is a not just a good real estate agent, but an exceptional one; he is by far the best one we've ever had. What stood out right away when we met him is his great desire to help us find the ideal home for us. He worked with us for several weeks before we made our house-hunting trip from LA by providing us on a daily basis the homes we would be interested in and helped us compile a top-20 list based on our specifications. Its very apparent that he loves serving people and has a tremendous enthusiasm for the business of real estate. It also doesn't hurt that he is backed up by his extremely capable wife, Lisa, who is the brains and logistics expert behind Shane's energy and drive. They provided us with a binder that contained details of each home on our daily tour and pertinent information on the community - maps and data on shopping, stores, restaurants, and schools. He's not that super-extroverted personality who talks a lot, but has that just right touch of providing all the necessary information on a community that we were driving and then waiting to listen to our reactions to the community and the home. He has that winning personality and sense of humor that you feel very happy and comfortable with and driving the properties turned out to be very pleasurable task rather than a boring chore. For every home we visited, he had helpful remarks on layout, good and not-so-good features and where we might need work done. He helped us compile a list of our top-5 properties and, when it came time to settle on our first choice and make an offer, he helped us figure out advantages and disadvantages of each one, rank them, and strategize our approach. We never had a shred of doubt of his honesty and integrity and that he was completely on our side. Shane also has an extensive network of support entities of mortgage brokers, appraisers, inspectors and handy men, and knew most of the listing agents. We were extremely lucky to have the Kilnkhammer team help us find our dream home and count our blessings that we had them looking out for our interests.
