I had already checked out another place and didn't feel like I found "the one", so when my…read moresister-in-law suggested "Yes to the Dress", I figured why not. Madison was very nice and worked with me to find the perfect dress. She defiantly had a nice personal touch, even saying that she would come with me to make sure that the dress was altered perfectly. She said that the dress would come in the first week of June (a little over a month before the wedding). It would be little close, but not bad, keeping in mind that the dress would also need to be tailored. We also ordered to flower girl dresses from them because, they complemented my dress so well. A few months go by and the flower girls dresses were supposed to be delivered. Both myself and my sister-in-law (mother of my flower girls) called as well as stopped by to see when the dresses would be in. Every time, the date we were told, would always be moved back. This didn't make me feel good about my dress, because we were cutting it close to begin with. In the end the dresses came in about three weeks late. Of course, the first week of June came and went. Calls were made and estimates of shipping dates were given, but it kept being moved back, again. It wasn't until seventeen days before the wedding, when I called, that I was told that my dress had been in for days. Madison's assistant told me that my sister-in-law must have missed the message she left. That is impossible, she was more excited about the dress than I was, but I did double check with her (no phone call or message was ever left). I made an appointment, fifteen days left, to see how the dress fit. The personal touch from Madison, that I got when I first tried on my dress, was gone. Madison popped in long enough to see how the dress looked. I made an appointment, with her assistant, to go to the tailor. I would meet her at the store ten minutes ahead of time. She would not only drive me there, but she would also carry the dress for me. I came back, ten days before the wedding, expecting Madison's assistant to be ready to take me to the appointment. I saw her in the other room busy with a bride (I already knew what was coming). Madison told me that her assistant couldn't take me and that she was in the middle of doing inventor. She wrote down the directions, wished me good luck, and told me to send her pictures of the dress. I was shocked, but headed to LT Alterations. My sister-in-law was already there getting the flower girl dresses altered (later she said I looked confused and sad when I walked in). We got the dresses figured out, apparently Madison didn't tell her how close the wedding was, but she said she could get it done. Two day before the wedding, I got my dress. The alter was great, but the bustle seemed I little confusing....ok...really confusing. Thirteen white ties made of sheer fabric that she couldn't find during her bustle tying lesson. On the day of the wedding I had three, very patient and loving friends, up my dress for a half hour trying to figure out the bustle. They couldn't find all the little ties or maybe some of them fell off (the tailor said they were delicate). It took the event coordinator, with a handful of pins, to finally get me bustled. I loved my dress, but the games they played with me I could never recommend this business to an blushing bride-to-be.

My other bridal shoppe experiences don't hold a candle to how comfortable and welcomed I felt on both of my visits to Yes to the Dress. So wonderful, in fact, that I swore I was going to buy a dress through them because I believe they DESERVE the business. It's posh, modern, clean. The staff is knowledgeable, articulate and caring. They could have made me feel amazing in almost any dress. Unbelievably, I ended up closing the deal on a 100% custom designed, one-of-a-kind gown after attending the Leanne Marshall trunk show & the savings were significant. It was a win for the shoppe, a win for Leanne, and a major win for me. The excitement level was through the shop roof!! I lost count of the hugs being thrown around. My mom is going back for her gown, my friend's mom is going to visit for hers. For better or worse, I too read a lot of boutique reviews when I was on my search. The cost also seemed reasonable based on what I understand of bridal alterations pricing, and getting the wedding dress to fit perfectly is probably one of the most important parts of the day. Nilah was friendly, efficient, and professional to work with. I also appreciated that she and her assistants are responsive via email for setting up appointments which is not the case with all vendors (it's much easier to send an email than find the time to make a call at times!). I chose this as one of my shops because they carry Tina Valerdi, and Debbie pulled every Tina Valerdi gown they had for me :) The selection is beautiful, and she was kind, patient, and friendly. She even stayed past my appointment time to help me. I posted pictures of my 2 favorite dresses at her salon. One of them is a sample dress for only $100!!!!! At the time of my visit, it was my top pick, and she graciously offered to hold it for 24 hours for me. A few random notes: * The Yelp listing I assume is old and says that masks are mandatory and that the staff will be wearing them. Neither of the above is true. One member of the staff was wearing one and none of the patrons had one on. * The store has two entrances - one on either side of the building. You enter one side for the prom stuff and the other side for the wedding stuff. * Wedding stuff of course requires an appointment. They keep their thick old school book on the counter and it is indeed packed. For prom wear you show up and the next available staff member assists you while they are also assisting other people at the same time. * My daughter was interested in a dress that their website lists as in stock with them. Nay-nay on this. The staff member who assisted us said that they didn't have that dress but dresses by that designer which is what that means. The website does not real time availability. If you really need a particular piece, either call before you come or buy it elsewhere. With that said, the trip was a success. While the dress she wanted was never stocked here at any time (per the staff member who assisted us), she did find something similar that worked and it was a little cheaper then what she initially wanted so score for me since stuff here is not cheap by any means. Ideally coming during the week I think would yield the best results with being able to browse and try things on without people being everywhere. Door to door the process took about 70 minutes which I guess isn't bad although next time I'll stick with the Jaws IV marathon as it might be less painful.

It was an easy pace to look through and try in dresses. My salesperson, Katie, helped me in try on the dresses and more importantly, without giving me her personal opinion, helped me to narrow down the top 3-4, then retry those and narrow it down to my top dress. It was a superb relaxed environment, a weekday, and Katie made the process seamless. When I ordered my dress it arrived within 2 weeks. I'm very glad this was the first shop I went to. One and done!

Again guided by Jimmy for cloth, design (jacket with robe tie closing) and pocket design a great smoking jacket was created. I didn't mention 3 three custom embroidered "sayings" you can choose for each jacket. One above each inside pocket and one "secret" location (ask Jimmy). One of my sayings..."It is what it is". Finally, new to Sagets, is their custom shoe line driven by their website. For me a black leather croc design with a ribbed sole and grey shoelaces for a high end casual shoe.
