Or I could spend the entire afternoon there, putting together some great pieces for a fabulous vacation. I always feel special and great about myself after leaving. I appreciate the honest opinion all the stylist give, directing me towards clothes that flatter my figure.

While I did buy hundreds of pieces on QVC proper, I did find dozens & dozens of items at the outlet. You just have to be patient & look through everything. Often rude customers do not put things back in the right place so you cannot trust that the clothing is hanging in the right size spot. So I just look through everything. No big deal. I live an hour away & just plan on making a day of it. I try to go once a month. I have also found fabulous prices on other items ($17 for a gorgeous king size comforter that is currently on my bed, $62 for a $300 leather weekender bag!!!) Wish the store had a bathroom though - you have to go the Giant grocery store next door, but, since their bathroom is right inside the front door, it's not too big a deal for me. Their 10% off for anyone over 50 years old is also wonderful! (PS - I do not live in San Francisco. Not sure how that showed up and I've not been able to change it despite editing my profile.)

They have shoes, bags, accessories, anything a gal needs in a wide range of sizes. In other words, it's not 10 year old Missoni in size 4 masquerading as a consignment shop (and I WORSHIP Missoni). If you are larger than a 10, you will find plenty of options here. There is also a small selection of men's clothing. Juniors or women who like to think they are juniors, this store is not for you. This is a shop for women who don't mind admitting they are over the age of majority. Clothes are arranged by type and by size, so if you're looking for a jacket, there is a section for jackets, skirts, etc. I was tempted by the most buttery soft ultra suede skirt in a light purple. But then I remembered, I'm only buying black and white anymore. I didn't rate this store higher because the sales clerk (who I know is not the owner) did not greet me or make any effort to engage me when I came into the store. In fact, it felt like she was avoiding me. When customers walk into a store, it's customary to say "hello, are you looking for something special"? Don't walk behind the counter as though I'm not there. I wasn't even rockin' the nose ring; but I'm not inclined to return when there are so many other options. I just happened to see the big consignment sign near the street on Lancaster Ave as I was driving by and I made a "U" turn. I didn't know it was Charmingly Linda's, but I'm glad I found it again. This is a nice store. It is not glamorous (though I think they are trying). The clothes are down to earth clothing, not much stuff for the younger crowd. Mostly they stock women's clothing, shoes, bags, accessories. They have a very small men's department. When I was there they had a huge selection of Vera Bradley bags. It is hit or miss. One thing many may not know is that Linda's husband sells things on E-bay. With the population aging, there are more and more people who need this service. I will go back from time to time cause I like to see what's there. I've gotten slacks, tops and a raincoat in the past. Best of luck thrifting.

First off, their website desperately needs to be updated to provide accurate information--they only consign by appointment and you need to call them for the appointment. This information is not on the website, nor are details such as how many items they will accept for inspection, how the items need to be presented and specific consignment guidelines (such as item conditions, labels accepted, etc). This is misleading, and their current policy has been in place for quite awhile now (based on a visit to the store over a year ago). Glad I called to verify, as I thought the "walk-in" policy was new. I gathered my items, making sure everything was clean and on hangers, and went to the shop on my appointed day. While they inspected my items, I was invited to browse the store. I noted the pricing on several items, and overall, I felt that many of the items were overpriced for what is basically an upscale thrift shop. The upside is that I only waited a relatively short time to see what they would accept. Out of 23 items, they accepted 6. And two of these items were mid-level designer handbags in very good condition. I was offered what I felt was an insultingly low amount of money for the items, or store credit. They offered some rationale, some of which was fair, but much, from my view (such as the condition of the bags) was not. Bottom line, they want items in new or pristine condition. However, while browsing, I saw things that clearly were not in that state. In the end, I know I could have walked out without leaving the items, but I opted to accept the offer, not because I felt it was fair, but mainly due to personal logistics (downsizing). Given the pricing I saw on what was for sale, I kind of felt ripped off and taken advantage of. I'm not new to consigning, but I thought I'd try someplace different this time around. From my experience, there are other shops in the area that are easier to deal with (in as much as communicating their consignment policies) and offer a better return to sellers on their items. Note to the management: Please consider those who patronize and consign to your shop and update your website (it's really not that hard to do) OR honor the walk-in policy that is currently posted.

I stopped by a few days ago to check out their new store. It's significantly bigger than Nana's Attic, which means it feels far less cramped. Yay! Still very good prices, the "yellow tag" items are consignment and generally higher priced than the store's donated stock. It about killed my soul to see an awesome vintage salt & pepper mixed in with newer dishes in a consignment lot. Aaah! Staff are great, the store is clean and bright. I'll definitely be back. Note: angled parking in front of the building is NOT free, Pontiac is a public street, and those are pay at kiosk metered spots.
