The owner was so helpful, we called and she told us she had what we were looking for - juttis, shoes for an Indian wedding.

They have shoes, bags, accessories, anything a gal needs in a wide range of sizes. In other words, it's not 10 year old Missoni in size 4 masquerading as a consignment shop (and I WORSHIP Missoni). If you are larger than a 10, you will find plenty of options here. There is also a small selection of men's clothing. Juniors or women who like to think they are juniors, this store is not for you. This is a shop for women who don't mind admitting they are over the age of majority. Clothes are arranged by type and by size, so if you're looking for a jacket, there is a section for jackets, skirts, etc. I was tempted by the most buttery soft ultra suede skirt in a light purple. But then I remembered, I'm only buying black and white anymore. I didn't rate this store higher because the sales clerk (who I know is not the owner) did not greet me or make any effort to engage me when I came into the store. In fact, it felt like she was avoiding me. When customers walk into a store, it's customary to say "hello, are you looking for something special"? Don't walk behind the counter as though I'm not there. I wasn't even rockin' the nose ring; but I'm not inclined to return when there are so many other options. ( As an aside, I've walked into Nordy's looking like crap on a tray and I've still gotten stellar customer service). Anyway, this store has very nice clothing and excellent prices, they also take plastic. Don't know what the return policy is, cause, well you know...I hope you have a better experience. 03/29/2011 I never mentioned children's clothing in this review. If you looked at my profile and reviews, you would know that I am not spamming. I write about my encounter with a business, which in this case was a departure from what I experienced from local consignment shops. It should also be noted that my review was complimentary of the store in general and the merchandise.

I just happened to see the big consignment sign near the street on Lancaster Ave as I was driving by and I made a "U" turn. I didn't know it was Charmingly Linda's, but I'm glad I found it again. This is a nice store. It is not glamorous (though I think they are trying). The clothes are down to earth clothing, not much stuff for the younger crowd. Mostly they stock women's clothing, shoes, bags, accessories. They have a very small men's department. When I was there they had a huge selection of Vera Bradley bags. It is hit or miss. One thing many may not know is that Linda's husband sells things on E-bay. With the population aging, there are more and more people who need this service. I will go back from time to time cause I like to see what's there. I've gotten slacks, tops and a raincoat in the past. Best of luck thrifting.

I stopped by a few days ago to check out their new store. It's significantly bigger than Nana's Attic, which means it feels far less cramped. Yay! Still very good prices, the "yellow tag" items are consignment and generally higher priced than the store's donated stock. It about killed my soul to see an awesome vintage salt & pepper mixed in with newer dishes in a consignment lot. Aaah! Staff are great, the store is clean and bright. I'll definitely be back. Note: angled parking in front of the building is NOT free, Pontiac is a public street, and those are pay at kiosk metered spots.

I have been a customer at this store since it was called Nana's Attic. Today I was there, looking for furniture. The selection was a bit overpriced for the quality. Suddenly, I needed to use the restroom. The woman working informed me that they did not have a public restroom and that I could go to the Dollar Tree next door. The Dollar Tree did not have a usable restroom. I returned to thrift and thrive because, quite frankly, I was literally about to pee myself. I begged to use the employee bathroom. The employees lied to my face and said that there was no bathroom in the entire store. Yeah right, if that's true, then that's a worker's rights violation, and they would not be in business. I explained that I was having an emergency and they did not care. It really stinks to be a loyal patron of a store, then to be treated so poorly in return. Particularly during a vulnerable moment. There are plenty of better thrift stores in the area with better prices AND customer bathrooms. It's a shame that a store that has such a great mission doesn't provide a great shopping experience.
