    SoCal Cabinets - Walking closet

We hired this company to design and install custom closets in our home and spent approximately…read more$5,000 on the project. While there were aspects of the design and finished appearance that we liked, the overall experience left us disappointed. One concern throughout the process was the pressure to finalize the closet layouts. Although I had largely designed the closets myself, when I requested a revised drawing after changes were made, I was told not to "take this so seriously." As a homeowner making a significant investment in a permanent installation, I felt it was reasonable to want to review and confirm the final design before construction. Additionally, I made a minor rod color change to one closet the day before installation. This change was brought up repeatedly and was later cited as the reason the installers did not bring enough hardware for several hanging rods. As a result, portions of the installation could not be completed properly. The missing hardware was sent approximately a week later, and we ultimately had to install and replace components ourselves. The most frustrating aspect of the experience has been the post-installation service. Communication with Rolando, who oversees installations, has been extremely difficult. Responses regarding installation issues, corrections, and warranty items have been inconsistent and often unavailable. Our contract provides for a one-year warranty. However, when we contacted the company regarding items that required correction, we were told they were ending the working relationship rather than scheduling the repairs. At that point, several punch-list and quality issues remained unresolved. I understand that no project is perfect, and I would have been willing to work through the issues had there been consistent communication and follow-through. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. We are now exploring other avenues to have the remaining warranty items addressed. My recommendation to future customers is to carefully inspect every aspect of the installation before making final payment, document any outstanding items in writing, and ensure all punch-list work is completed before closing out the project. If the company ultimately honors its warranty obligations and resolves the remaining issues, I would be happy to update this review.

Gave us great ideas that I didn't even think of. When I messaged him we were ready to proceed that weekend he was here with the layout and went over everything with us. Poor Quality, Incomplete Installation & Lack of Communication…read moreVery disappointed with the quality of the cabinets and, especially, the installation. Unfortunately, what should have been an exciting kitchen renovation has turned into a frustrating experience. The workmanship and attention to detail were far below what I would expect from a professional cabinet company. The photos speak for themselves: Cabinet doors/handles were installed unevenly, with visible differences in alignment. Cabinet interiors were left with unfinished/incomplete work, including missing shelf-pin holes needed to properly adjust the shelves. There are visible holes, damage, and rough areas inside the cabinets that should not be present in a new installation. The backsplash/stone was installed without properly accommodating the existing electrical outlets, leaving the outlets without the necessary openings to install the cover plates. Several aspects of the installation appear unfinished and require additional work to make the kitchen properly functional and presentable. The installer had extreme difficulty communicating in English, which made it very difficult to explain concerns, discuss the installation, or have issues corrected as they were identified. What is particularly frustrating is that when I brought these issues to the company's attention, instead of simply taking responsibility for completing the installation properly, I was told that some of these issues were supposedly someone else's responsibility or would require additional payment. I paid for a professional cabinet installation. I should not have to accept visibly poor workmanship, incomplete installation, or pay additional money to have basic aspects of the installation completed correctly. The pictures included with this review are not minor cosmetic complaints--they show the actual condition and quality of the work I received. I strongly recommend that anyone considering this company carefully inspect every cabinet, door, shelf, handle, outlet opening, and finished surface before making final payment. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. Very disappointed with the workmanship, communication, and the company's handling of the issues.

This company must have so much business they are just not talking to new customers. I sent a picture of the area I need cabinets with measurements. He said he would get back to me that day. They never did and I called the following day and the gentleman was out of office. I send another text the third day and no response. Sent a text the 4th day and no response. Called the 7th day and no answer. Just shocked that a business operates like this. Sad because a business I work with highly recommended them and now they will be losing their business too.

After seeing my sister-in-laws new kitchen remodeled by inland Cabinets, we contacted Johnny and we were so glad we did. Johnny, the owner was wonderful to work with. One was to set up a visit to discuss what I wanted. The other call was to let me know that the desktop was ready. And the final cause was to finalize pickup since I missed his call. I asked for a 70" wide custom desktop to go on top of IKEA Alex drawers. Sam got all the measurements and finish perfect.
