You can tell they really love all the dogs and make sure the play environment is safe and clean. Even when we moved to the shoreline area, we'd still try and bring Lady to Barking Lot on Fridays because she (and we) loved it so much. I always knew Lady was safe and happy when she was there. Though Lady no longer attends daycare at The Barking Lot (new baby = no more free time to drive to Hamden), we highly recommend it to all our friends looking for a daycare/boarding facility closer to the New Haven/Hamden area.

After doing a lot of research and visiting several kennels, we settled on Pet Resorts. It's family operated, the owners of which live on the premises. They seemed very concerned about our dog fitting in and being comfortable. The even had our dog come for a get acquainted visit a week before. Everything seemed fine. But on our return to pick Bingo up we found out he didn't adjust very well. However the owners took Bingo into their own house and treated him as a pampered house guest. We were very impressed and relieved with their obvious care for the animals in their charge. We would definitely recommend Pet Resorts to anyone looking to board their dog.

I passed by Sarah's sign a few days before and was so glad I did! I was able to easily request services from Sarah's online and was called with about 30 min to set up a meet and greet and get us all situated. Their sitters are excellent communicators and regularly send reports/updates and pictures that you can access through their app. The initial meeting was perfect. We chatted and the sitter got to know our pets, our routine, where everything is, etc. Very organized. The intake form is pretty long, but seriously it's very helpful to give as much info. Plus they can administer meds if needed. This is a great option for those whose pets either can't or don't do well at a kennel/day care. That was certainly our situation and I'm SO GLAD we found them!! We have a larger dog and two cats for reference.

We had stopped to rest on. a bench near the waterfall and were wondering if we would be able to find our way back, since we had been on several trails. Josh came along so we asked him for directions. He started to show us an app we could use to find the general direction. When we sheepishly admitted that neither one of us had remembered our phones he immediately said I'll lead you out. We didn't want to take him out of his way, so we said just point us in the right direction. We are two older ladies, and he insisted on leading us out saying that he didn't want to be worrying about whether we made it out safely or not. Even when we saw landmarks that we remembered were close to where I parked, he woudn't leave us until I actually spotted my car. If josh showed so much care, compassion, caring and sense of responsibility to two strangers he had just met int he woods,I can't imagine that he wouldn't bring the same qualities to his business. Thank you, Josh! Debbie
